Topham supported the weight of 6 men atop his body with his heels on one chair and head on another and nothing underneath. His voice was so deep he didn't seem human. Derby, England 1734.
I heard that he would never reveal his weight so a couple of guys made a scale out of his horse drawn carriage and weighed him at around 1,029 lbs. He was also supposed to be the strongest man in the world.
i looked up this video bcuz the down i come from aka darden tn was named after him... the best thing that they do in darden is the darden lights which come everywhere armound christmas! I would have liked to seen the size of this guy,having that height maybe would have made him look just big and taking the focus off some of that weight.

Amazing he was able to live about 59 years, he was over double the overall size of Andre who died age 46 or 47.
