  • Stevie had tiger's blood and Adonis DNA.

  • This is a theme song for a struggling alcoholic. Needless to say this is my theme song.

  • Damn... WHat a song.. A friend of mine tell me to listen it, and think about it... It woke me up... Hell Stevie... We ALL think about that fucking chopper.. And we ALL think no matter what, you'll always gonna live..

  • thanks......:)

  • Very Nice Good Job he was one the best

  • @chillipeppereater Just like your momma's ass... The difference is that he did make money on that... Your mom does it just for the fun...:)

  • wtf john mayer got to play with DOUBLE TORUBLE at austin city limits lucky fucker

  • true i wanna see live

  • My biggest inspiration, the best

    STEVIE RAY !!!!!!

  • I'm sorry but i'm just so tired about this "tribute videos", i really want to see "life by the drop" played by Stevie Ray, no just covers (is good, but nothing like the real one)or worst, see this videos just with pictures....

  • Don't take anything for granted, as life is by the drop.

  • @misantropia6 im so sick and tired of people like you complaining all the time. dont like it? SEARCH AGAIN.

  • Stevie is the best and wil always be the best:

  • Dam right brother

    RIP STEVIE

    we miss you

  • texas loves you stephen vaughan

  • your not being a jerk it is the best

  • a 15 year old should not be able to relate to this

damn my dumbass friends and grandpa...

  • man stevie is the reason I picked up the guitar! but I like to think that most guitarists leave the stage with their hearts on the guit. or at leased when I play its from the heart

  • I love Stevie and this tune but give credit where credit is due. Stevie did NOT write this song. It was written by his good friend and sometimes writing partner Doyle Bramhall and his future wife Barbara Logan. But Stevie made it his tune fo' sho' the way only Stevie could

  • slight edit- I believe it was written for Stevie by Doyle and his wife

  • most songs are written for artist by a SONG WRITER. The song is nothing until an artist either gives it life or gives us misery with how bad they do it. SRV made this song the most unforgattble song it could possibly be and only he mastered it the way it should have been. others have tried and not gotten this close to a prefect song. RIP SRV

  • True words. Lyrics are just poetry and nothing special, just cafehouse ramblings, until the artist applies melodies to it. This one right here is one of the best.

  • I fking miss him man, thanks for the video. Beautiful human being, musician. God bless

  • great tribute, thanx

  • My heart bleeds for that man..Only the good die young. The only guitarist who laid his heart out on his strings...

Rest well and God Bless my friend...

  • That's how it's happenin', livin life by the drop..

Up and down that roaaad and I won't miss you

    Talkin' bout good things,

    singin the blues..

    You went your way,

    I stayed behind..

We both knew it was just a matter of time.

    I love you Stev

  • Up and down that road in our worn down shoes.

  • Words can't express the sorrow I feel when I listen to this song. It's very touching.

I love how he's taken EVERYING out of the song, just him and his guitar, nothing else matters.

Man, the passion. Res In Peace my friend. You'll never be forgotten

  • R.I.P stevie i know he lived life by the drop

  • Thank you for this great tribute to one of the greats, my favorite

  • Thanks, fluff for saying everything that matters.

Thanks, toxicglow for a glorious and moving tribute to my guitar hero.

  • in my previous comment...

its supposed to be "life" not live... sorry

  • we will miss you forever stevie... at least your music still lives today...

"that's how it happens livin' live by the drop"

  • this was my dads wedding song..lol

  • well done

  • It's so sad to think of Stevie gone. This is probably my favorite song of all time and I think it is the one that goes deepest into his soul. When I listen to it I almost feel him here.

  • love this song

  • Stevie you are a legand to all bluesman and you still are and you have inspired us all thanks. R.I.P

  • This Is An Awesome Song Me and My Wife listend to this song all the time

  • Another great musician gone way before his time. I sure miss you my friend. RIP

  • Yes SRV all the way!!! This sond is the shit!!! Brings back memories hangin' with my boys at Baylor University 2002!!!

  • SRV all the way

  • Beutifull song by stevie

  • Beautifull*

  • I'm so sick of "EMO-SCREAMO" here's an idea...GET OVER YOURSELF!! lol! SRV SETS THE STANDARD, can't fake it even tho John Mayer is trying his hardest. 'nother poser

  • expect the best from Texas and its people!

  • I'm pretty sure he was from oklahoma

  • Are you serious? He was from Texas, like all the best blues guitar players. He was the best of the best, and he was from Austin Texas.

  • Im not sure but it doesnt matter where hes from really, hes still a legend regardless

  • True that, but you can be sure now, Solar. As a recovering addict, he's not only a legend to me, but an inspiration and an idol as well. Texas Flood will tell you where he's from, but if you want to hear something beautifull, listen to Riviera Paradise. He wrote that for all us recovering addicts. I love him and miss him dearly.

  • yea man who else can get an oklahoman and texan to talk together, hey man peace on earth brother.

  • Sorry, solar, I'm from up here in boring ass Detroit, but I did basic training in Oklahoma,

Fort Sill. Loved that red dirt!! Peace to you, too, bro.

  • What are ya sorry for i love this red dirt too man Indian till i die

  • I Said sorry cuz I thought I made you think I was from Texas. Ur indian? My great gramma was 100% cherokee. U on a.o.l.? Maybe we could chat sometime.

  • are YOU serious? ever heard of the delta?

  • No, I don't think i've heard of the Delta, but I don't feel like argueing with someone while listening to Stevie. Was just being friendly with solar.

  • what you were doing was making ignorant generalizations that on an open forum, invited criticizm. deal with it.

  • Why the negativity? I'm sorry if anything I said made you upset. I'll deal with it just fine, thank you. Peace.

  • and i'm sorry if i take ignorant generalizations negatively. peace out.

  • I get the feeling you take more than just "ignorant generalizations" negatively. I'm glad I don't know how it feels to be pompous while listening to songs meant to make you feel good. Anyway, if you'd like to tell me what "The Delta" is, I'd like to know. Been lookin, but can't find anything. You know, cuz I'm ignorant. I'd like to stop opening my mail now and getting put down, though I like hearing this song everyday.

  • your feeling is as misguided as your generalizations and i'd never so pompous as to make any of the broad claims that you have. if you'd like to know, research the mississippi delta. if not, who cares. texas rules everything anyway, right?

  • Absolutly the best fooking song EVER!!!!! Listening to it on KQRS right now.

  • no emo guitarists could ever even compare to stevie

  • no guitarists could ever compare to stevie, full stop, any genre .R.I.P. Stevie Ray

  • good job toxicglow!!

Steve Ray Vaughan rules!!!!! R.I.P (Rock in paradise!!)

  • good job. but what's with all the anger?

  • Where did you get all those gret pics?

  • Hey, if you want LOTS of great pics of S.R.V. and things related to him, I have it all and then some. Will share if you like.

  • nevermind, but thanks ALOT :)

  • Mack, would love to see whatever you have. I cry whenever I hear this song. I was lucky enough to see SRV a year before his passing.

  • @mackdad1970 that would be awesome! Can never get enough of Stevie Ray

  • R.I.P :(

  • Great job on the video and an incredible song.

    -R.I.P.

  • SRV, is my hero!! We miss U brother!!!

  • mrbluesman2 same here man

  • im, getting the best attatoo every =srv i love u

  • No SRV song hits so close to the soul as Life By The Drop. I am most thankful for the opportunity to see the legend in '89. (You know you're a living legend when B.B. King OPENS for you). That was the best twin bill I've ever seen.

  • I totally agree with hitmanfan91 SRV was the only person who could put so much inot only 2 mins. there will never be annoy as passionate about the music as stevie.

    R.I.P SRV

  • One of the best SRV songs ever..... thats how it happenes livin' life by the drop.

  • very nice, but it kinda kills it when you cut it off like 1 second before the songs ends.... good job, though

    anyway R.I.P stevie

  • I'll never get tired of this song. Stevie didn't often play acoustic, but when he did he certainly proved he could do it well.

  • its a crime for him to be killed the way he was, a guy who tried so hard (unlike most guitarists) to recover and did, a guy who loved life so much and then for him to go like this is a cryin shame, i was born on the same day 10 years before he died, my birthday present was going to be seeing his next show after the alpine valley concert, i was absolutely devastated, glad ive seen him though but its like im at funeral every August 27th, i haven't had a proper HAPPY birthday since 1989, the truth

  • Hitmanfan91: My oldest son saw SRV several times and was standing front row directly under SRV and a drop of sweat fell on his jean jacket. I was forbidden to wash it and I finally had to say this is it, you stink. I love him, his band members, his fan base is enormous and I keep saying I am going to Austin but life keeps coming up. Thanks for the comment. I, too, was devastated and always will be. Texas Flood!!!!

  • Scratch that.... (found another)....... i like this one better tho =D

  • 2 pages of videos and you are the only person that has Stevie playing his own song.. Thank you.

  • My absolute favorite by Stevie..How can 2mn 11sec say so much..

  • because no one can put soul into 2 minutes like SRV

  • agreed, wel said man such a beautiful song

  • life by the drop

  • Thanks for posting!! One of the best SRV tributes on youtube!! - R.I.P - SRV.

  • hi great vid! can u tell the name of this song?

  • hmmm, better than mine?

  • Nice rip-off, but its all about Stevie, so ill be the bigger man here
