Thats called a rotary engine...not a damn flamethrower. Rotaries have to run rich in order to keep from detonating and whats probably happening is the Wastegate is opening and the excess fuel is getting ignited in the exhaust system...
It's running rich, One of my friends is in the 3rd gen video taping it. His 3rd gen does that too. I've seen this original video it's pretty sick. when your RX-7 is running rich like this what you do is rev it up to 5000 rpm. and walla you have a flame thrower that'll melt the bumper of the car behind you haha ^_^.

I had a SR20DET but I actually sold it just recently :( It's ok, once I graduate from college and get a good job I'll get another S14 Kouki and just have a stock S14 SR20 in it and make sure that beast is super clean haha. 240's are super great cars. I've owned 2 S14 Kouki's one with the stock KA and one with a SR20 and I've also owned an old 89 240sx coupe with silvia front end that also had a black top SR20 motor.
oh dang thats nice i have only had 2 cars and i still have both of them i have a 98 tahoe with 9 inch lift 37 inch tires and on 20's and then some gay ass 01 eclipse gt that my brother gave me i hate fwd no drifting for me :( but i am just waiting to sell it to buy a stock rx7 and do everything to it myself so i know someone didn't like turn the boost up to 17 psi to race or crap like that.

hahahahahahha i hope your not serious lol no way this is to funny go online and look up a little invention call a rotary motor. no valves no cylinders just rotors and ports and rotary are dirty motors meaning a lot of gas and fuel go unburned in the combustion area were exhaust temputures ignited hence throwing flames

@1995fordranger I just found out the 787B motor uesed a 3rd spark plug in each rotor to burn the fuel more efficiently. I wonder how this in prove the performance in a 13b or 20b,

Thats called a rotary engine...not a damn flamethrower. Rotaries have to run rich in order to keep from detonating and whats probably happening is the Wastegate is opening and the excess fuel is getting ignited in the exhaust system...

Your probably right.. Some old hot-rodders use spark kits to ignite the unburnt fuel that comes out the exhaust..
Note the guy in the car said "I'm gonna make my car do that"..

It's running rich, One of my friends is in the 3rd gen video taping it. His 3rd gen does that too. I've seen this original video it's pretty sick. when your RX-7 is running rich like this what you do is rev it up to 5000 rpm. and walla you have a flame thrower that'll melt the bumper of the car behind you haha ^_^.

it's just running rich. One of my friends is the the car that's video taping it and he showed me the original video of this. It's soo sick, I'm gonna get my Silvia S14 to run rich just so I can shoot flames like this hahaha. Plus the rotary motor helps with the flames for sure ^_^.

I had a SR20DET but I actually sold it just recently :( It's ok, once I graduate from college and get a good job I'll get another S14 Kouki and just have a stock S14 SR20 in it and make sure that beast is super clean haha. 240's are super great cars. I've owned 2 S14 Kouki's one with the stock KA and one with a SR20 and I've also owned an old 89 240sx coupe with silvia front end that also had a black top SR20 motor.

oh dang thats nice i have only had 2 cars and i still have both of them i have a 98 tahoe with 9 inch lift 37 inch tires and on 20's and then some gay ass 01 eclipse gt that my brother gave me i hate fwd no drifting for me :( but i am just waiting to sell it to buy a stock rx7 and do everything to it myself so i know someone didn't like turn the boost up to 17 psi to race or crap like that.
