  • @rotaryisgarbage... they take the 13b out and put an LS1 In because like u said rx7s are lighter it makes it so they have a car that can do more than run a straight line, quit being a dumb ass and stop being a troll. i had a FC that was ran hard with 200K on the odometer with one rebuild because I blew a hose and the engine overheated... just cuz u were incompetent and can't handle a rotary doesn't make them garbage

Ive given you three reasons theyre not, and ill back them up. First, an LS1 makes about 70hp/ltr. A 13B makes about 200hp/ltr!! Second, rebuilding a rotary costs around $500 and can be done in your garage in a weekend. Your LS1 will cost closer to $900 and take quite a little longer...

  • @Rotaryisgarbage And last for today, my 13B weighs in at about 400lbs. That includes EVERYTHING. Just the shortblock (flywheel, waterpump, thermostat, pulleys and block) goes about 140lbs. Your LS1 weighs 430lbs and thats the aluminum version! Thats over 3 TIMES AS MUCH!! Now you argue that im wrong? And im the idiot... HAHAHA! As for this vid, never did i say i liked it, or that its good for the car. Its obviously runnin way too rich, but at least its not lean... You, sir, lose the game...

Since your IQ is less than you have fingers and toes, let me explain things in a much more in depth way and see if i can dumb it down enough for your feeble mind to comprehend.. First, id like to point out that you still have given absolutely no reasons to state that a rotary is garbage. Ive given several to support their design and details to back them up. Second, lets discuss the difference between a "long block" and a "short block" so we can be clear on the numbers

  • A "long block" can be defined as a complete motor assembly, i.e. the short block plus the head. A long block may also include some of the motor's accessories, such as the intake and exhaust manifolds, throttle body, fuel rail and injectors, distributor, alternator, intake tubing and filter box, etc... A "short block" can be defined as the engine block only. Basically the bottom end of a motor. Now, having explained that in such a manner that you should be able to keep up, ill try again.

  • @Rotaryisgarbage I specifically stated that at 400lbs that includes everything. That would mean a long block, also known as a complete motor. I also stated that a short block only weighs in at 140lbs. The same "short block" description given to your LS1 weighs 430lbs. If my math is correct, a short block 13b at the stated 140lbs if multiplied by 3 would equal 420lbs, which is 10lbs less that 3 times your short block LS1. I hope thats clear enough to wrap your little mind around.

  • @crewdj Furthermore if you actually were somewhat car literate you would have done research and found out that by the time the drivetrain is installed that the weight difference especially with the 13BREW is negligible.

    Also moron, I suggest you check your facts becuase from what I see, you are off on your LS1 weight.

    Here is a break down of what exactly was weighed in each section:

    Section 1:

    Bare LS6 block with main caps and bolts

    Total weight of section 1 = 107 lbs.

Even GM claims that the LS1 fully dressed is 497lbs. Argue with them about it... Its a simple fact that a 13b weighs less than an LS1. Sorry if ya wanna argue that point, but its true. You may also believe that the world is flat, but youre sadly mistaken there too...

    The point was that after the swap that the car didn't weigh much more than with the rotary. The rotary requires a lot of supporting components, especially the turbo version.

The rotary engine is junk so watch the vid. Find your links idiot, you still haven't proven a thing as you still can't prove your argument, especially knowing that less than 1% of the cars on the road have a junk rotary in them.

Many people dont understand that theyre a little different animal than a normal "turn the key and drive" motor you find in almost every other car. Did you also know that the Rx7 weighs about 700 lbs less than the Camaro and they aren't even in the same class? Wonder why the rotary engine is never used in heavier cars?   • It's running rich, One of my friends is in the 3rd gen video taping it. His 3rd gen does that too. I've seen this original video it's pretty sick. when your RX-7 is running rich like this what you do is rev it up to 5000 rpm. and walla you have a flame thrower that'll melt the bumper of the car behind you haha ^_^.

  • I had a SR20DET but I actually sold it just recently :( It's ok, once I graduate from college and get a good job I'll get another S14 Kouki and just have a stock S14 SR20 in it and make sure that beast is super clean haha. 240's are super great cars. I've owned 2 S14 Kouki's one with the stock KA and one with a SR20 and I've also owned an old 89 240sx coupe with silvia front end that also had a black top SR20 motor.

  • oh dang thats nice i have only had 2 cars and i still have both of them i have a 98 tahoe with 9 inch lift 37 inch tires and on 20's and then some gay ass 01 eclipse gt that my brother gave me i hate fwd no drifting for me :( but i am just waiting to sell it to buy a stock rx7 and do everything to it myself so i know someone didn't like turn the boost up to 17 psi to race or crap like that.
