Arrr Daevid Allen..I love him..I can't believe this says Central Tv Production !! fuck why don't we see things like this on tv now..I saw Gong with System 7 a year or so back in Manchester..reminded me of being on great acid minus the acid...I was fairly straight at the time..fairly :)) lol

..I'm sure Gilli Smyth is an unbelievable 80yrs old this year+Daevid is about 74...fucking magic,I want to grow old disgracefully too...I am:)) cheers love this

Yeah, I'm from Manchester... I take it you're a Brightonian? Gong play the academy every few years and I've been going since about 88/89. I love all that stuff... Gong, Here & Now, Steve Hillage (& System 7), Hawkwind, Acid Mothers Temple... love it all. Yeah, I still trip a few times per year, but most of my mates have all knocked it on the head. I intend to grow old disgracefully you see. Sorry to hear about the chemo, hun. Hope you get better soon. :( xxx

This is great! I just started listening to these guys! Fn awesome band! They remind me of a mix of Zappa, kind of Lou Reed in Daevid Allen's voice sometimes,and Hawkwind.

shit i know what you mean, one time i was listening to the radio gnome cd's, it was pitch black in the room, and i was on acid, i think inner temple was playing, and i just started freaking out, i had the whole feeling like i was disappearing. but their the best band of all time to listen to stoned

Other great bands to listen to when stoned are Ozric Tentacles, Melting Euphoria, Eat Static and System 7. All four bands are influenced by the musical style and vibe of Gong.

System 7 is steve Hillage who was part of gong, Eatc static are almost all made up of Ozric members.
