Cutting Tools: Foot and Bench Shears - Kevin Caron

How is the cut edge quality with the bench shear? I have a chance to get one locally but not sure of capacities or capabilities.

I just had the blades sharpened. The cut edge is straight with a slight burr. This shear is rated to 16ga. steel so anything thicker I would go to the plasma cutter instead. I am planning on working with the thinner metals for a while so this should be just right.

Okay, I got it. The white bar comes down to hold the metal to keep it from moving while the blade cuts it. Nice tools. Can you even have too many? :-)
