6.0 was the first engine built by Navistart for Ford with emmssions in mind. It had a lot of problems with the egr clogging and head gaskets/head studs. They are more comlicated than need be. You have to take the cab off for some of the engine maintanence. Good engine if it was bullet proof like the 7.3. I like the 6.0 when it has been built right, but the whole cab coming off thing turned me away from it and I stuck with the tried and true 7.3
@linkthemain with EFI live a duramax is pretty amazing. u can make a LBZ run 13.8s all day w/ just EFI live. dont get me wrong, sct tuned 6.0s have some balls
I dont get why everyone bagged on the 6.0l powerstroke.... I mean I personally am a chevy guy but I love all american cars and trucks. I worked on a 6.0L powerstroke that was my buddies and its pretty strong when tuned right!
