Hey, I've been trying to reach Warfare's sock puppet accounts you've posted here, and happily have found that they have been suspended/taken down/invalid. Count this as a victory! GREAT WORK!!
God just doesn't want violence period. Peace, love happiness, the compassionate heart and honorable will to guard each others lives, like that of your neighbors and others. No matter on race, religion or anything which we ourselves consider to set ourselves apart from others. All he wants is for us to care rather than cause harm to each other. The bible which was written was primarily written BY man. It in itself is not the true bible, merely what man itself thinks it says to be true.
Although stoning has a long history in a number of different traditions. The practice has since grown to be associated with Islam and Muslim cultures. In fact, there is no mention of stoning in the Quran, and the practice is only implied in the Hadith in the context of the Prophet Muhammads dealings with Jewish Law.
This does not however excuse Islam for murder done it its name today.
Just beware of religious zealots in general. I don't like religious zealots in general because they not only overdo everything but tend to think that their way is the only way and what they say is what god says.
Stoning people and killing is not what he wants. Everyone is entitled by their own opinion.
All he wants is for people to believe in something and to love and respect one another rather than cause harm and damage to each other.
Well I can certainly make a strong case that God does want stoning (as well as other undesirable behaviors) as it is commanded in the Bible many times (and in the Qu'ran and Torah). Unless of course the God that you support is not the Abrahamic one, if so, then I apologize for jumping to that conclusion.
You don't seem to have thoroughly read the bible, which according to Christians, is God's will. Read Josh 7:19-25, Josh 10:28-42, Judges 3:28-29, 1 Sam 15:1-3, 1 Sam 18:25-30. Read Deut 28:15-68. Lev 20:13, Lev 21:19, Exo 21:17 and Exo 22:18. By flipping through and reading those passages you'll see God, many times ordering his people to murder, rape, stone, commit infanticide, commit 'ethnic cleansing', and many such monstrous acts. One can see how zealotry comes about, and can see its dangers.
Here's a massive problem though, if you actually think about it. God does not want any form of stoning. It's not the problem of the bible, but the primary problem is the person that interprets God's words which thus stains his name. God does not condone murderous acts, but as you recall one primary quote, "Worship no false, or man-made idols other than me" The pope is a man-appointed idol... In all truth, the bible is not to be taken as complete fact
it is meant to inspire. BUT there are those whom misinterpret it. Religious zealots, are more along the lines of extremists, and they think that what they do is God's will, when infact God only wants, love, caring, understanding, and peace. Bravery, virtue, honesty, and self-sacrifice as well. Religious zealots in general, caused the crusades, Catholic extremists, who believe that what they do is the right thing, when it is not.
Those who preach Gods' name in uphveal and glory and in celebration, not in fear, are true believers, not zealots. It is not God's will, but through what man interprets to be his will. His will is written upon the ten commandments... and there are only a few stories which are true, but remember, the Bible is meant to inspire.
see they have all been taken off youtube. nice work :o)
