Plus these people are liars. They lie, because what they call "paint" is not paint. The truth is that it's virtual paint, so it's not real. It's printer ink at best when it comes out from that virtual world into the real world through your printer or plotter. I wouldn't be surprised if these are the same people that change their real lives for those lived in virtual worlds. it's cancer, it's bondage.

@EvilFercho My friend, I can create a design and sent it over the internet within MINUTES! A traditional painting would require extensive packaging and precautions in doing so and might not make it to the client. Even so, it could take weeks to get there unless by very expensive courier. Or else, you could scan your original and then you would be digital anyway. You must remember that all these artistes will create an original too! Can traditional purists work on digital?

digital media is such an expensive investment and looks cheap. kitsch.

Plus it is extremely bad for your eyesight.

Digital media is a killer of spontaneity and hence creativity, since you have to push so many buttons and pull down menus.

think twice before buying a cintiq or whatever, you'll have to spend much more than that and you'll always run the risk of loosing your data, even if you upload it.

@EvilFercho you'll spend way more time mixing colors with traditional media then the two clicks to select any colors in digital. You don't get the tactile response from traditional media but you can create so much faster and explore your ideas that much more spontaneously. That's why concept artists use digital so they can meet their deadlines. Also, you only need to buy a tablet once where as you'll need to buy many many tubes of oil, brushes, canvases, easel, palette, turpentine, etc.

Moebius - the first one, is bar far the most skilled in this clip, he paints 3 full body persons in freehand, and with a slight perspective. Painting a face like number 2 - does and cover it up in lots of effects, is the easy way out. Im 110% sure number 2 would say that himself. The loisel inspired woman @ 5:14 is my number two favorit here.

Der Begriff Speedpainting ist irreführend. Die Künstler arbeiten schon einige Stunden an ihren Portraits. Interessant aber ist dieses interaktive Graphiktablet, wo man sofort das Bild auf selbigen sieht und nicht wie bei meinem erst auf dem externen Bildschirm. Gibt's sowas auch für Nicht-Profis zu entsprechenden Preisen im Handel?
