I do not want to second guess anyone but why do the female feel the need to get out a pair of scissor during a traffic stop....could she not do that AFTER the officer leave. Secondly, I think the officer kind of over reacted. If the female was still in the vehicle with the scissor, WHY enter the vehicle to get the scissor. If she exited the vehicle with the scissor, then I too would pull out my gun for protection.

It is funny how some people whom after watching this video stated that the couple got shot at by the police officer......For those of u who do not understand cantonese, the couple were not shot at....the officer only pulled out his gun. From what i got, the officer sees the female in the vehicle with a pair of scissor. As the officer attempts to take the scissor away, the husband grabs officer and pushes him away. Officer then pull out gun.

Do you really think the police are facing alot of danger everyday? If so you'll need to look at the statistics, there are many other occupations have a higher casuality rate than the police force i.e. construction worker who may earn only a fraction of police pay. Cant imagine u can be a fair & good police officer!

Everyone get paid to carry out their works, including you, I believed. Your contributions to your country is not only to pay police officers' salary, but your social & medical welfare, education, etc. So if you wanted to make a say for your government to review, I guess you should make it to the representatives of your district. The story said 'the woman drop out / show a pair of scissors inside the car', I can't see why the police officer need to be in the car for giving out a ticket in the first place. I can only see the police put out a gun at a situation that I would say not very high risk, plus he is got other weapon he can use, i.e. batton.

@timtsan2011 I don't live in USA. I live in a very peaceful country of which licensing of firearms are strictly controlled. Or at lease I've never seen anyone using firearms except police officers. My judgment on this couple is not only from this video, but from printed media related to this story. The video only showed part of the story. The ticket was given out to the couple before the argument but the couple refused to obey the officer. The officer only get into the car to stop the woman.

agree with all ur point except policeman drawing his firearm. It has nothing wrong with drawing firearm IMO. Because there is a 12 inch weapon already shown , and the guys push him off (body contact), where these 2 reasons, it has more than enough reason for the policeman to draw his firearm.

If policeman has to ensure that they have the intention to hurt before allow to draw his fire arim, i guess there will be alot of dead body in the stress

本人對此案分析如下：

乘客位俯身入車廂 <- 打呢場官司，就最重要呢個動作的意圖。夫婦搵定律師啦，未必有律­師肯接，我估警方會用「意圖襲警」罪告佢地，而且入硬！ 男事主一手推開警員 <- 意圖是否只分開兩人，還是想制服警員令妻子可成功提取武器，呢個­point有得打。

警員拔槍可能怕事主飛鉸剪，所以選擇唔用警棍，報告好易寫，上C­ourt都可以咁講，另外警員可感覺事主情緒失控下會做出任何攻­擊行為，及兩事主一前一後埋身，警員可以懷疑男事主奪槍，也不清­楚男事主有沒有別的武器，情急下，雖然拔槍會令事主，也要退幾步­遠離兩事主及拔槍自保。

Just can't see how this office can be at risk, considering the woman only pulled out (or may be shown) a pair of scissors inside their own car, NOT TAKING A PAIR OF SCISSORS AND GET CLOSE TO THIS OFFICER.

The officer asked her to put down the scissors but she refused to. Then her husband pushed the officer off. Do you think this is 'CLOSE' enough? Or do you think pointing a pair of scissors at you neck is what you mean 'CLOSE'? They both disobeyed the officer's order. If it happened in the USA, both should have died already.
