Your 'psychic abilities' theory is baseless. Some years ago in Philadelphia, all the fortune-tellers were shut-down by the Police. Not one fortune-teller saw it coming, they were all caught by surprise.
@rhein228 The solar panel keeps the battery topped up quite well in summer, but at this time of year with the less strong and lower in the sky it does virtually nothing. That's to be expected, I guess. I have blogged about - or rather about the other, larger, solar panel on my garage roof which has a similar problem in the winter.
@DavidHembrow Thx -- I have a solar power plant on my house for 10 years now -- works well. Got interested in the panel for next summer's "Roll over America" tour -- that might solve the issue of charging. What is the make? Did you just tape it on? Josef
@rhein228 Yes it's just taped on. I can't remember the name of the company I bought it from right now. I also built a little regulator to make sure it doesn't over-charge the battery (no chance in winter, but possible in summer) and built that into the dashboard, so it charges safely as I ride, even when also using the battery power.
