But you said if one's wrong, they're all wrong. They can't all be right, therefore by your logic, they must all be wrong.
Plus, not everyone has religion, so that goes against the whole "necessary" thing.
IMHO, religion is guesses. I have my guesses and my reasons for having them, but so long as I acknowledge that it's a guess then there won't be too much trouble. The problem comes when we think the guess is knowledge, and then we find out something that proves it wrong!
So in other words, no religion is even possible? I mean, they have mutually exclusive beliefs. Not all of them could be right, therefore some of them must be wrong. I don't see how that proves that all the others are wrong as well.
Dude, Christians use that fact as evidence for their belief. The logic goes that if we are hard-wired to believe a certain thing, then it must be true. Of course, we're also hard-wired to eat all the food we can get our hands on, but people don't pretend that's proof that gluttony is a positive trait.
Plus, I wouldn't say Buddhists or Athiests formulate a belief in deities.
Because, we human beings love patterns and we keep connecting patterns of good or bad fortune with ritual. It is a survival mechanism to make sense of chaos, not just an irrational one. It's kind of like a built in instinct to create a cooperating culture. Since we are advancing, in the far, far, future... There will be no religion, but there will be specific rituals to connect to each other, like a communion of our inner selves and outer cosmos.
Great question. And about dark matter and dark energy, nobody knows nothing about it.We just know something must exist beside matter and energy. And dark matter and dark energy make up 90% of universe. So we know almost nothing but some people believe that there is god and that you have to worship him, even without evidence.Go figure.
Dark matter and dark energy aren't distinct types of energy, it's just a lump term for energy and matter that we can't directly detect yet. Since we can't detect it, we can't really say how much space it's taking up or how much of it there is.
What do you suppose exists other than matter and energy? I think they just about cover it, personally.
Yes, we should know a whole lot more when the Large Hadron Collider is operational, which will be very soon(this summer).I really cant suppose anything ill just wait and see with what "weird" things universe will suprise us again. :)
as with all people. this world of "path conflict" is the definition of your present life. it's best to realize you cannot make the wrong choice. you can do no wrong. not by grace of being blessed but rather because there are no choices, no paths, save for the paths in your mind. your mind.
where all your viewers go at? damn.

I am more than happy to leave the notion of "supernatural" behind.
Just because the answers to some aren't known that doesn't mean that we will not eventualy figure them out.
natural explanations for a natural universe.
The fun is in the quest for knowledge of the "unknown"
peas!

Yeah, at that point String Theory will either be substantiated, or dropped (I'm personally betting on dropped).

the only paths are the paths in your mind
