I've had straight A's every since 3rd grade. Today I just found out I have all A's but 1 FREAKING B! There goes my chances of making a record T_T. I have a reputation for being talented. I'm an artist, an actor, a comedian, and I have perfect attendance, but I was 1 POINT OFF from getting an A in writing T_T

Being straight up, you don't really need balance in your schedule or have an "extreme" passion for learning or whatever. If you WANT straight A's it's simple... Before doing your damn assignment read the lesson on it to make sure you get an A on it. Review it before turning it in... That's it. Do that for EVERY assignment on EVERY class and you should be good. Do it from the beginning of the year 'til end. 'Cause catching up from F's D's C's midway through sucks! That's the real pain.

ok so i do all those things and im making excellent grades on all of my papers but my grades are high a 84 in math and all extremley high A's in my rest of my classes but this semester it's like the teachers are so slow there not putting any grades in and it's really making me mad.

1. I stop studying

2.I started to play more video games

3.Hang out with my friends alot more.

4.I played more yugioh

5. I hang out with my girlfriend even more.

and thats how i got all straights A and got a 97 on the Regents.

How I got straight a's:

1) I quit every extracurricular and social thing I did

2) I dumped my girlfriend

3) I deactivated my facebook and myspace pages, plus I threw away my cell phone

4) I would lock myself in my room with no TV and no other books except my textbooks and read at least 14 hours a day.

The problem people have with math is that they have holes in their knowledge, not 'careless mistakes'. If you know a lot of verification methods and finish the test early enough to use them, you'll still get an excellent grade.

Go talk to your teacher. Ask questions about anything you didn't get from previous math classes (Algebra II, pre-calc) and get those holes filled. Try to learn from the mistakes you made on the homework as opposed to the mistakes on the actual test

College administrators LOVE extra ciricular activities! They want you to be WELL ROUNDED...anyone could just study study study to get the grades...but it takes true character to be involved with the community and your school....

Administrators take note of that.

If you're involved with A LOT of activities and you're grades are good, you'll be in a WAYYYYY better position than if your grades were amazing and you did nothing....

Actually they don't really look for A LOT of activities, it just shows that you're trying to impress college administrators and not really doing it because you truly enjoy it.

They rather you take the somewhat hardest classes, getting mostly A's, but some B's are okay and showing consistency in EC's.

Yeah I know what you mean. Being spoon fed information doesn't make you intelligent. Most people claim they know something but if you ask them a couple of specific questions about it they wont have any idea.

Knowledge obviously has some bearing on how functional people can be in a certain area. For example, say someone is a "natural" at engineering, and within a year of university has designed a new type of engine. In that case, you could say it was an excellent understanding of the subject. But what about the people who excelled at everything they did since they were born? They weren't taught to be brilliant.

My point is that masses of knowledge don't make intelligence.

Honestly, i thought the content was helpful and informative enough. Although,when it comes to YouTube, it's all about delivery. If you don't make the topic seem interesting,such as speaking in a monotone voice and seeming completely unrehearsed, you aren't going to reach an audience at all. For example, as of writing this it has been a week since this video has gone up, and it's only gotten 70 views. If you don't draw an audience, what is the point of filming it at all?
