  • @pfsshufflecrew Tit.

  • ITS FAT

  • GORGEOUS

  • i think the fish is fine... just cuz the fish isn't swiming doesn't mean that its crippled... and if you compare the fishes swiming speed to a faster fish saying its slower then that means its crippled then humans are crippled compared to most animals... and if you say its ok cuz we are smarter so we can survive well the goldfish is prettier so they can survive...

  • They would more than likely rather be alive than dead, so what if they are fat fucks.

  • great show fish!

  • And I'll be honest, the show quality goldfish push it a little too far. I'd never want a fish that "fancy". I have to agree that I'd rather have a fish that could dart about the aquarium. But... It is a survival trait, in a way, and being "cute" has helped them to live their full lives and make babies to preserve the species.

I just don't think it's sick if the fish seem happy. I saw another video of a sickly ranchu that had possibly been inbred, that people thought was cute. he wasn't happy.

  • THEY ARE DEFINITELY CRIPPLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOOK AT THEIR POOR EXCUSE FOR (lol i was about to say 'flippers') FINS!!!

  • i've just watched the video again and i still have no clue as to how people can think they're cute.

They look completely crippled and they're really ugly.

I mean the ugly part could be counteracted if they could actually swim, but all they can do is float about.

So this is what us humans do to nature then?

So much for the supreme beings.

  • Agree. They can barely swim, and I don't get at all how they're beautiful. We've made them suffer for our own enjoyment, and I don't see how that can be justified.

  • that is VERY truee

they havee been produced to human desire through selective breeding, and they look VERY unnatural! i dont see any beauty either.. for me, they look almost as if they spinal cord is close to breaking under pressure!

  • Please tell me none of you three own dogs... The most mutated domesticated animal. If you were to cross breed these fish back with other breeds, within two generations you'd have normal fantail goldfish. If you were to try and do that with any breed of dog to make a wolf, you'd have to wait at least 100 generations. That's how mutated dogs are, but I love them anyway.

  • actually, i dont. :) i own lorikeets ducks nd koi.

al im sayin is that these goldfish just dont have a NATURAL posture

even thogh a dog may b far more selectivly bred, they atleast have a natural physique that wont prevent normal movement. btw, u mentioned "normal fantail golfish" still r selectively bred. did u knw the fantail actualy mutatons?over mny hundrds of years,th "mutated" golfish 2tails, was then selected nd bred, giving u todays.. so called.. NORMAL fantail goldfish" wich it isnt

  • i love ryukins!

that one even has a friend.

    how cute!

  • Search for white beta and call that fish ugly ;)

  • Sorry i mean white betta not beta

  • the fish isn't suffering. I mean, it doesn't need to swim quickly to get it's food when it's a pet. It's a BREED of DOMESTICATED goldfish. Do you think chihuahuas are "practically disabled" because they're not as large, athletic, and strong as a wolf? their wild ancestor?

  • Except a chihaua doesn't have to be athletic.

These fish have to swim and it looks like it's struggling to get three centimetres through the water.

It's horribel, true beauty isn't because someones bred something to be less and less capable of moving.

So you'r saying if this fish couldn't move but could eat it'd be okay because it doesn't have to move?

IT's disgusting and i feel sorry that it was brought into the world in such a foul body.

  • This fish doesn't have to be athletic either. It has no predators and a human being puts food in it's aquarium, so it doesn't even have to hunt. It's basically like a chihuahua, it doesn't have to do anything for itself. And it doesn't care what body it has, it's always had that body. It doesn't know anything better to compare.

Why would these fish ever need to swim quickly when someone is controlling their environment?

  • Athletic was the wrong word, chihaua's don't have to constantly move, like a fish does. And the point i was making is that it has to struggle to move, this fish is practically disabled, it takes more energy to get from one side of the tank to the other than if it had normal fins. And no it might not have any comparisons but thta doesn't change anything, so if a dog has to struggle to move from one place to another it's okay as long as it has nothing to compare itself to?

  • I'm not trying to argue here, but fish don't need to constantly move, at least not all fish. The only fish that constantly need to move in order to pass water over their gills are most species of shark. I keep goldfish (one is the same breed as those, but much younger and athletic) and they sleep and completely stop moving. They suck water in through their mouth and flex their gills. Those fish can remain stationary and survive as well as if they were constantly moving. It's all in the gills.

  • all in all, those fish look happy to me. I know what happy goldfish look like. Their fins are erect, they're inquisitive yet calm, and they're happy to be together, something very important to goldfish.

  • Right so you're saying that if we made a human so crippled it could barely move it'd be okay as long as it had a beautiful face?

Especially if we keep it tied to a chair and feed it nutrients through a drip, because it wouldn't have to move to survive.

It's practically the same thing, this fish IS crippled. No matter what way you say it, it can't swim properly at all. And i really fail to see how someone can find that beautiful.

  • All in all, those fish are swimming fine. They obviously have gotten plenty of food without a tube. They're happy fish, if you know fish, you can tell. Koi, which are not crippled, become very slow as they get to be 10+ years old just from their body mass. It's not too different from these fish. And where are they going to go in a 60 gallon aquarium? They're obviously not crippled. You just think they are, for some reason. It doesn't seem like they're struggling to get anywhere. they don't care.

  • how are they NOT crippled?

They're not so much swimming as wobbling around and hoping for the best.

They ARE crippled, you can tell just by looking at them. They're about as streamlined as a brick, and they look like someone has rammed them into a wall, face first.

If they are happy it's because they don't know what they'd be like if humans hadn't decided to make tham as fat and retarded as possible for the sake of "Beauty".

  • so if they are happy, what's the problem?

Did you know people in more impoverished countries have lower suicide rates than countries with more wealth? People (and animals) can be okay with having limitations.

And those fish are not retarded. They're one of the most intelligent breeds of fancy goldfish.

Just because you don't want to be in their condition doesn't mean that they feel the same way. The only thing goldies care about is food. Those fish get plenty without struggle.

  • I'm taking your word for it they're happy. Though if they have a decent level of intelligence then the fact they can't move properly should really piss them off.

Probably because in impoverished countries they end up dying young anyway, which lessens the amount of alive people who can commit suicide.

i meant physically retarded, but nvm. Bad wording on my part.

I hardly think so, normal goldfish get it easily, these have to wobble about after the food in a feeble attempt at "swimming".

  • Will you please read this video description. ITS SWIMMING LIKE THAT BECAUSE THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG. The word 'quarantine' is meaning to isolate a sick/contaminated fish.

  • That was actually added after my initial comment.

Besides all Ryukin's swim like that, just because this one had some sort of illness doesn't change anything.

  • Does that one have a golden arse?

  • What are they sick with?

  • probably swim blader disease, its pretty common and the one looked like it started to float to the top

  • I just realized that it says quarantine so I think they've just put them in there because they've just bought them, and so if the fish have any diseases or anything the methylene will kill it.

  • im guessing that these will go extinct at the same time as the humans :P

  • you know it mate.

  • why are people thumbing this down? it's true. These fish can't survive in the wild. They're like toy dogs.

  • thumbs down from all the cry babies Waaaaaaaa! lol

  • same with this one i think unless all rykins are like that

  • niiiiiice fish! wonderful... can i have? xD

Well.... that´s realy beautyful THAT! is a Ryukin!!!!!!!
