Well, I must be stupid. I can tell that Call of Duke, 2Forts1Bridge and Inferno are Call of Duty, Team Fortress 2, and the Doom games respectively, but I can't figure out what "Sandpit" is. The website says "Players take the role of mini-Duke in a giant sandbox with two bases at either end made out of children's toys. This map features Sticky Bombs." Someone help me out here.

Some dude in space armor wrecking alien planets. District 9 was well written, well acted and mainly good.  You can go fuck yourself in the fanboy ass because you know as well as I that the movie looked almost nothing like Halo, and that it did well on its own, also, it was a independent movie maker, NOT Peter.

@CMZ007rules It has more in tone with half life, or Vanquish, since the guns are on their arms. The weapons resemble nothing of halo origin, not even feel like they were from it. My point in that post was simply that it has almost nothing like Halo, and Halo would be a bad movie, it has the Lore in there, and action *maybe* but it would feel like Fanboy love spank for the game.

@SpacePajama well I apologize for striking you that way, and I actually barely play Halo, in fact haven't touched it since I played Reach at a friends house. lol Sorry for making it sound like fanboy love, but yeah my original post was more of a point that District 9 DID rub me that way when Peter Jackson had been affiliated with the Halo film, and once he is no longer connected to it, the next movie he makes is District 9, hence sorta rubbing us in a "Halo-esque" way. ;) My apologies sir...

@glitchedgamer sure, if you look at the whole picture from 50 feet away wearing sunglasses at midnight, yeah, Halo is unoriginal. You have to break it down and actually pay attention to the story (not the multiplayer) in order to see just how original it is (btw, they are using the story for any movie that'll be made, not the multiplayer). You seem like the kinda guy that'd enjoy the farmville movie, cause I've never seen a movie about a guy building a farm next to his neighbors, have you?

@glitchedgamer Agreed, Halo was innovative back in the day, but has just been dragging its toes because Microsoft is forcing Devs to beat a dead horse every 5 minutes or so to shit out games that are just not getting better. Really, they sorta hit the limit of what they can honestly do with the series, without the lore driving it.

Also, Duke, you stole from those games, and you still suck more, parodying won't help that you STILL SUCK!

@SpacePajama i think duke nukem is good , okay not the best , but still fun as hell . did u really played the game or do u listen to the shitty reviews of IGN , Gamespot and etc.? be happy that duke nukem forever doesnt have only run n gun action and shows some nice variety . and u should know that duke nukem is just a game which makes tons of jokes about action-games and action movies which makes the duke nukem franchise much better than any COD . i doesnt mean it bad but thats my oppinion. =/

I have played Duke Forever and really, it isn't that good. I used to defend it, but as the game went on, my annoyance level rose. It really is a poor broken game, it was better off dead than being released.

Nice Variety would be something like Duke 3D, where you didn't always just have a projectile weapon. The game, itself borrows heavily from modern shooters, while making fun of them, Duke, if you want me to laugh at the halo joke, take off your modern wheels and become what every fan wanted. Duke failed at every level because it just didn't try to make it good to the roots.

Just to put it out there...

Gearbox promised the first DLC package for DNF to be released over the summer, and that it would be free for members of the First Access Club. Now it's late, and no one seems to be remembering those who stuck around praying the game would be good only to get junk-punched. Console owners still haven't even gotten patches.
