  • Look at this way: Commissioned used not 1, not 2, not 3 but as many as five different keyboard players (not even including Fred Hammond) to replace Michael Brooks. Thats how good of a musician and even more so, a songwriter he was

  • Loneliness aint no joke, its something that can over take you if you let it. i found myself in bad relationships becus the most high was FAR from my heart. i always thought i was alone and i would seek for man to fill in that loneliness. rather then seeking the most high who is always there, so really when you think about it you are not alone.

  • Love This Song!

  • I love me some Commissioned!! I have been listening to their music all week!

  • Trust me, its Brooks!!!!!

  • @alf96able they both are equally powerful just in different ways the original group= beast the new line up with Marvin Sapp = Super Beast w/ Marcus Cole added = Mega Beast - sings boyz!

  • I always loved Commissioned and had the privilege of meeting the original group before they split up. Unfortunately, I thought they got a little commericalized once they left Light Records for Benson Records. Their sound and Christ centered lyrics were not the same after that.

  • They are saying No More! Sing It! No More

  • @alf96able oh wow...mmmm I love Keith

  • The song was always so uplifting to my spirit since I was younger

  • This is what Fred is saying on that last part:

I love you to much to let you down (hey) (Lonely)

    No more sleepless nights (Lonely)

    No more lonely days (Lonely)

I Love you I’ll be with you… I never let you down (Lonely)

No more…..I’ll be right there by your side

  • what they are saying in the end lyrics is: no more loneliness no more sing it no more....

  • When I first heard this song I was a christian. Commissioned was my group. I would play this song over and over. Times change and I've ceased believing in the biblical god but I will always love Commissioned because the music is outstanding.

  • i can remember after i received the holyghost , this song really came true for me , NO, MORE LONELINESS, AMEN!!!!!!!!!!

love is guarantee you know you never have to be lonely.

After listing to the song an being a commissioned fan I pray this

    answers your question.

  • LOVE THIS SONG... I believe the drive/ vamp to fade says: No more loneliness, no more loneliness, Jesus gave you joy, (Joy) No more (sing it) no more, repeat.. as BigE7

  • The correct lyrics states:

No more loneliness, Jesus gave you joy

No more sing it, no more"

So because there is no more loneliness thats why your singin it.

  • The correct lyrics states:

No more loneliness, Jesus gave you joy

No more sing it, no more"

So because there is no more loneliness thats why your singin it.

  • This brings back so many memories, all the good music produce in the 90's. This was a much fresher era of gospel music. So unlike todays gospel.

  • Those were some TIGHT drums for 1989! And you don't hear a percussion groove like that in today's songs!

  • JESUS GAVE U JOY;(NO MORE SININ, NO MORE).. THT IS WHT THEY R SAYIN.. BEEN A COMMISSIONED FAN SINCE TH BEGINING.. USE 2 ATTEND TH SAME PLACE OF WORSHIP WIT FRED HAMMOND, MITCHELL JONES, N KARL REID.. GREATER GRACE.. DETROIT, MI. THEN PASTOR BISHOP DAVID L. ELLIS(R.I.P. BISHOP)

  • Thank you so much for sharing. I love Commissioned!

  • This was my favorite song on this album. I use to be so lonely because I put myself in it. Everytime I would get lonely, I would listen to this song and just shed a tear.

  • YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • no more say it. no more. no more loneliness. no more sing it, no more

  • I thank God for commissioned and the service they rendered in Jesus name. Let all of their fans Bow and give homage to God the father for giving them to us. They truly to inspired and encouraged us His children and many others as well. Therefore to God be the Glory and to Him a many thanks for His gift to us....Commissioned!!!

  • Yet another example of Commissioned's ability to display their flawless delivery of gospel music!

  • This song doesn't grow old! Thanks for the upload!

  • The bottom line is this. Everyone bow and pay homage to Michael Brooks. Yeah, I know every loves Fred, I do too. However there is no denying Mike Brooks knows his way around the studio. Not only that his work with Witness is phenomenal as well. All the varialbles were in line when this group was formed. Only God could put this talent together. In the final analysis, I am going to be selfish here and request that the original line up get back together in the studio and cook up one more!

  • @chessman60619 ---I agree with you... ONLY the originals Keith/Mitcell/Karl/Fred/Both Michaels

  • @chessman60619 NO doubt, Of course Michael Brooks was kinda one sided on his music but the boy can produce like a beast. No one was doing the kind of stuff he was doing. He definatley was ahead of his time. He influence a lot Of Stuff like TM Mass and Indiana State Mass. My dad had the opportunity to meet him and commisioned at a PAW conference in Indianapolis. That's how I know

  • @geedogshizel Thats good stuff. Anyone who has an ear for music will be able to acknowledge the talent of not only Brooks, but the entire Commissioned Crew. Everyone in the group brought something to the table. It is unfortunate that we could'nt get more from the original line up, but never say never. Be Blessed!!!

  • I think they're saying "come on sing it, no more" But I really have no idea. I'm just guessing. LOL

  • Wow...I remember this song from when I was little!

  • I used to play this song back to back, like 7 times in a row. Commissioned was my band. Though I eventually left the church and ceased belief in the god Jesus, I still love, love this song. You can't stop loving great music. :-)

  • @blackclassics I pray that you understand the lyrics to this song...he never leaves us. He will allow you to choose to leave him,yet he remains faithful. whatever caused you to stop believing...He is still real, and he still loves you. The only thing that can separate us is Sin. Unrepented Sin. Get back to Christ is he waiting.

  • Super Classic! My favorite all time group. They are the group that got me into drumming! Sick on this track! Michael Williams clowns!

  • Not only is his the JAM!! but man this also just good TRAVELING MUSIC !!

  • @ROCKYCQ Yes it really is!!

  • Jam

  • MY JAM!!!!!

  • One of my all time favs. Brings tears to my eyes.

  • Yes, I'm there with you on this one.

  • One of my most favorite commissioned songs! I love the way fred jumps in at 1:29

  • When this CD came out, I would play it everyday, all day!!!! I still love Commissioned and hate that they're not together, but GOD knows.

  • i had one problem with commissioned:

i always wished every song was at least a minute longer!

  • Oh Wow!!! What a classic.

  • @4:03

For loneliness, My Love has guaranteed it!

Love has guaranteed, u know u never have to be...

    Lonely, Lonely, LONELY!

I love u too much to let 'cha down, hey!

    LONELY!...No more sleepless nights!

    LONELY!...No more lonely days!

    LONELY!...I love u...I'll b with you...

    I'll NEVER let 'cha down!

LONELY!...No More! I'll b right there by your side!

  • @2:32 Put ur trust n me & I guarantee That you'll never (never b lonely). Ohhh, Put ur trust. I'm never gonna leave u. I'm right beside you. Never gonna leave u lonely, put ur trust.. Put ur trust n me, you'll never b.. I guarantee that 'cha..never b lonely (sing w/ me) Love is guaranteed, U know you'll never have to be lonely, lonely, lonely! For loneliness, Jesus gave u..JOY! No more! sing it, No more! (x3) For loneliness, Jesus gave u..JOY! Unspeakable & full of glory!
  • @1:30 Jesus said, "Trust Me, I have NEVER failed u, So don't U worry. This loneliness shouldn't be. I'll extend 2 u My Mercy, replace the loneliness & Give U joy & happiness." Oh, Joy & Happiness! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah! There's a voice sweet & low, I hear Him say, I can hear Him say, "Lo (Lo) I AM w/ U always." Dark clouds may dim ur day, hey, that's ok, But the Son (Son's) on the way, way, way. Put ur trust in Me. U will find that you'll NEVER b lonely.
  • No More Loneliness (Repeat) Lord I don't wanna b lonely, Though I know U love me & U still care I must confess but, nevertheless, There is loneliness. Even in the valley we may get a little weary, But let the weak say, "I'm strong!" In the power of His might, go on Though U may feel, yet & still U r not alone. Oh, oh U r not alone. There's a voice sweet & low, I hear Him say, I can hear Him say, "Lo, (Lo), I AM w/ u always." Dark clouds may dim ur day, hey, that's ok But the Son's on the way.
  • This is one of those songs that make you want to snap yo fingers and feel the grove. I know it sounds oldschool but it's true.

  • Commissioned is one of the Best Gospel Groups to has ever record. i thank God I got a chance to meet Keith S. he's a part of our church's assembly ...PCAF...Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith.

  • Keith was the man! Loved his sincere style of singing. Very anointed. Is it me are does the album cover look like Keith has ashy legs with flip flops on? ROTFLOL!

  • LOL it does if you glance at it!!

  • but why is keith's pants so far up lol he should've been standing up

  • i love this song!!!

  • another classic

  • thanks for your comments-As a young man growing up in U City in St. Louis these song kept me praising God. My five children grew up listening to us sing these songs to them even through tears and the fruit remains today.

Sow this into you world-reap His peace.

  • Hey U City...I'm bout 25 min from you on the ILL side! Praise the Lord from Edwardsville, IL....Commissioned definitely were ahead of their time. Growing up on them and Winans and other quartet groups helped us musically also! Man the Lord sure was in Detroit!!

  • This song has just ministered into my life...i've just broken up with my boyfriend for follow Christ more truthfully...and this was what i needed to hear! Praise God x

  • Thanx so much for posting this! I was a teen when I 1st heard Commisioned -- their music is truly unique & unforgettable. I feel so blessed to be able to share it with my children.

  • When I was overseas during the Gulf War...this song did it for me!!!

  • Man I love Commissioned and this is one of those songs that helped me through many times!

  • Still one of my all time faves. Commissioned is untouchable....Period!!

  • hey i loved this song when i was four

  • WHY CAN't WE HAVE THE OLD COMISSIONED BACK!!!

All of their songs touches the heart!

  • Fred Hammond and Mike Brooks gotta get back together! They are the 2 that made it happen. And get Parkes Stewart to write some songs! Now that would be the CD! I would buy 20 copies! Also, Fred and Mike collaborated as good or better than any 2 musicians. Just check out the song "I'm Gonna Let My Love Flow"! That song breaks into a jam I have not heard since maybe Earth, Wind & Fire's afro-fusion funk. Awesome awesome awesome! Come Fred and Mike! Give us a 25 year anniversary CD in 2010!

  • It wasn't just those 2 who made it happen. E.g Mitchell Jones wrote this song and many of their real classics. IMO he is also one of the best male vocalists/recording artists ever. I'm so glad some1 uploaded this, I really needed to hear it and I'd left my CD@ home.

  • @AcousticUplift yes mitch is the man and to me he never got his due Mitchell Jones is da man behind the music, VH1 where you at?!

  • :):):)

  • This is my song and I thank God that I am never lonely because he is always here with me. Thank you Jesus!!!!

  • My all time favorite commissioned song.I have been trying to understand what they are saying near the end(drive) of the song. It says (background)"no more lonliness, jesus gave you(lead:jesus gave you)joy, so much joy,no more ? ,no more. Can anyone help me?

  • After looking at the lyrics it doesn't say anything about it at the end...perhaps it sounds like they're saying 'no more singing' not sure if that's correct - that is something to look into...funny of how I've thought the same thing

  • Thanks. Where did you get the lyrics from? I have been trying to get the lyrics for this song for years.

  • I actually have the CD of it with the cover and when I saw the lyrics it didn't have anything after the part 'Jesus gave you joy' so I'm guessing that they're saying (No more singing, No More)?

  • If I may interject, I believe that they are saying "No more say it, no more." Kind of like a call and response, prompting people to say "no more." Like when you tell the devil "no more" or when you tell your struggles "no more."

  • "No more, sing it, No more!" Call and response.

  • Ok. Thanks.

  • @BigE7 I would say, (No more, sayin, no more)

  • @BigE7 i think said "no more (sing it) no more"

  • @BigE7 i think they said "no more, sing it, no more'

  • @ejohnson37 Its " no more , sing it, no more" ...they are saying to each other and us to sing no more loneliness basically

  • I always thought it was "No More, Sing it, No More..." It could also possibly be 'Say it' but i think both of them could work...

  • @ejohnson37 I actually know what they're Saying--LOVE IS GUARANTEED, YOU KNOW YOU NEVER HAVE TO BE LONELY! :)

  • @ejohnson37 you are absolutely correct. At the end of this song, at the fade out they are saying. 'No more loneliness, Jesus gave you joy. They repeat it and Keith Staten and Fred Hammond ad-lib the ending while the guys sing 'My (meaning Jesus) love is guaranteed ya know ya never have to be lonely....

  • @ejohnson37 "No more sing it, no more"

  • This is such a tremendous blessing at this time in my life. I am here worshiping in a way that I haven't done for such a long time, these songs are ANNOINTED...

  • still not alone thank you

  • Great song, they are still my number 1!
