about 1990...give or take a year, tiny wheels back then though.

In the late 80's skateboarders started modifying their boards and one of those mods was a tail on both sides so the new street skateboarders wouldn't have to rely on only one kick tain when doing tricks.

Watch old street skate videos and you will see how awkward kicking the board up in the air is along with how hard it is to land on rains.
