  • this song is perfect.. every notes and tempo fits the feeling... absolutely beyond praise...

  • did keiko composed this one?

  • There aren’t many pianists who can make a piano alone fill an auditorium with every note that one’s heart could ever desire. But Keiko does, with what she brings to make musical magic; her heart and soul, and a piano through which to pour them out.

  • A beautiful and slightly haunting song

Keiko Matsui, she is a very talented and an extremely beautiful woman who (through the genius of her music) moves me to the very depths of my soul. She has captured my spirit. I love her for who she is and for all that she does!

  • The original sax player for the song on the album was Warren Hill. Michael Ghegan does a very nice job on this song.

Keiko is great as usual, loved her music for 20 years.

  • alguien me puede decir como se llama esa cancion ???

  • @joseuriasguzman 1942, From Russia

  • this is beautiful ..........so triste so powerful

  • the positively amazing sax player in this song came to Kit Carson, Colorado the other day and gave us high schoolers a few pointers and played a concert. it was so incredible and i can't wait until he comes back!

  • I wish the sax player would have been removed out of all her songs...sigh

  • y? i mean no offense but his playing is what makes the song itself even more beautiful

  • what is dat means 1942 from russia?

    Beautiful interpretation...

  • So, this is a song of hope, because war lasted two years after 1942 and so many people died. But we hoped that we can win! And we won! That wat this song about...

  • I want to post this comment just for you to understand what hidden sense of this work of art.1942 for Russia was maybe hardest year in modern history.German invaders already occupied Ukraine and piece of Russia.Siege of Saint Petersburg that lasted 871 day was in the middle.Nazist army was just few tens of kilometers from Moscow. And in this deadly situation we found power to defeat Paulus army in Stalingrad.Since that time russian army passed to the offencive and won this war.I hope now understa

  • only reason they won was because of the u.s.

  • Of course :))

When soviet armies stood up before two fronts of Hitler, and losted many millions of people (many innosent people - civils) - u.s. army slovly started to bite it's own piece of cake. You were never fighting on your land, so shut up. Ask british people - who really made a great part in this war - what it means. Ask spanish and french rebels, ask them...

  • I don't see how this is monotonous... I find it to be so moving; a rush.

  • maybe its too serious for Keiko... her usual style , her usual storm of emotions but there is this sense of coldness and solitude .... somebody mentioned Prokofiev , well she is not far from it but as I said, she is truth to her style.well done keiko and thanks tatiana for sharing

  • A little monotonous for my tastes. Or maybe I am just being grumpy because the worst time of the year is approaching: Christmas, with every radio station playing Kenny G.

  • Is it Prokofjev music?I just thought about year and music..Anybody knows, pls?

  • Hey Ghegan, nice pants...

  • Arigatou Gosaimusu!! I love this song so Much Listen to Michael Ghegan and Keiko Matsui is truly heaven!!

  • it's so beautiful. thanks for sharing! my mind was drifting along with the molody to somewhere i've never known.

  • THANKS! My favorite Keiko Matsui song! I have seen her in concert a half dozen times but she has never played this.

  • yes, really top notch piece played by top notch artistes.

  • (Yay first comment) It's really beautiful.
