i think we were the last generation to have truly great bands (people born in the early 80's). remember when u could listen to the radio and have ur mind blown?? those days are gone and will never return.. gotta feel a bit lucky to come up during the 90's.
This song is awesome and so is the album. The dvd 'single video theory' highlights just how good all this is, and it has a great version of this track.
Yield is one of my favorite albums of all time, if I made a list it would be in the top 5. Brilliant all the way through. I think with their early success of Ten and Vs. albums like No Code and Yield get overlooked, but are by far their best work.
can we all agree that pearl jam ... rhcp.. foo fighters .. incubus.. maybe even weezer... are all in a category ... thats named decade proof?... in our days... that takes a lot of talent
man, family road trips across the midwest looking out at the country side with this playing in my ears outta my aiwa portable cd player with 3-sec ESP and a battery power display light
Really, Yield is heir best album by far... i just loooove itt!!! given to fly, wishlist, faithfull, in hiding... such an awsome vibe that makes me feel so confortable listening to art.... im a proud pj fan!!!
I would guess this song is about how everybody believes in SOMETHING and people just need to realise that and stop fighting over beliefs and religion! We're ALL faithful! We ALL believe! In something!
This video is easily in my top ten for PJ songs. Just a terrific album all the way through. This song is about being an atheist and still finding meaning in life. It's a great message.
@rodrigopulos I'm going to tell you right now : "Brain of J" and "Faithful" are about as killer a one two punch equivalent of "Heartbreaker" and "Living Loving Maid" that you're ever going to find.
beautiful song

yup, the only period since the 1960s that middle and lower income Americans saw real incomes rise meaningfully. not to mention we weren't at war.
but as the song says, we're faithful! we all believe, we all believe it! we'll turn things around...
