I'm sure if you had a Democrat vs. Republican showdown, it'd be a draw, since they're more alike than they've ever been.
Most fringe candidates(to use your definition) don't have a chance to win because they don't have bottomless corporate funds at their disposal and they are completely blacked out by the media.
Kucinich is not a fringe candidate...he's polling in 4th place now, and gaining momentum. I resent your presenting him as being unelectable... "they won't win no matter what they do"...? He's the most 'mainstream' of them all, because most voters agree with his platform. You're just falling for the corporatist media hype. You should know better.
You need to take down Ron Pauls picture because he is not even close to being fringe! 10,626,000 all by grassroot and no special interest!!! He wins everysingle internet poll there is... And you can only vote once..
And also the polls that the msm goes by are a joke and you know it...
Ron Paul is fringe? He's tied with McCain in Iowa, he has raised more money in 2 months than ANY GOP candidate did last 3 months. He has the most in NUMBER of donors, and most number of supporters signed up.
Huckabee and McCain are way more fringe. There are no hard facts supporting them, like cash, or number of donors, or number of signed up supporters. Only MSM support, unscientific polls, and provenly rigged straw polls.
Entertaining but short sighted. I remember Clinton in his first Presidental Election. He had no chance of winning the White House. Then we were stuck with him for eight years. Don't count anyone out.
Agreed. Ron Paul is appealing in some senses, but his economic policies are very bad news. Entrusting everything to the sort of people who ran Enron is foolish. Ron Paul fans should check out Mike Gravel for a populist alternative which does not involve rampant privatization.
They are kept on the "fringe" by individuals such as yourself who mock them and undermine the legitimacy of their candidacy. Thanks for doing your own small part to ensure that America remains controlled by bought and paid for "mainstream" corporate candidates.
Ross Perot is a fringe candidate? Fuck you. He's a fucking centrist. Ron Paul is great. You don't know what you're talking about. George W. Bush is a fringe candidate! The Religious Right are fringes. Dennis Kucinich is a respectable statesman. I happen to greatly admire Barry Goldwater. He was a lot better than that lunatic LBJ who got us into Vietnam.
You're just being nice b/c he replied to your other video! :P No seriously, while I'm biased since I'm supporting him, it's rather obvious he has had and will likely keep the most detailed platform of any candidate by far. It's basically the same as he had in 04. And I'll say add, he won't quit till the convention, just like last time. I'm not optimistic either, but you gotta fight if you wanna have a chance and that's what we're doing.

Err... okay... but from my perspective it would seem obvious you have Democratic Party leanings. Oh well... you know what Winston Churchill said, "If you're not a liberal when you're 25, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative by the time you're 35, you have no brain".

Good voice and snappy presentation. LIked the theme song, as well. Showdown was lamely short, though.

Dr. Paul is nothing like Bush. Why do you think he votes against the party so often?
There's a huge gap in your understanding of economiics if you think we're seeing "privatization" right now.
Bush and his cronies are supporting "private" companies through federal subsidies and contracts.
Ron Paul wants to END the corporate welfare state. You can't possibly compare these two. Paul voted against the Iraq war and against the patriot act.
