I am lost after connecting the foreground selector tool around the character. The background turns blue. When I right click to see edit > select, the from path button is faded out. I added the alpha layer and tried to figure out how to delete the background. I did delete the background by accident but cannot do it again.
In short, I am stuck after connecting the dots around the characters. Anyone, please help.

How to remove the "leftovers" around the image?
Tried it with that "Eraser" and it doesn't do crap.
