I wish I could have been sitting on the floor really stoned hearing them play, but then again I wouldn't want to forget such an experience so I'm gonna be sober.
This movie served as a re-education for me. Up till this point I was predominantly listening to that crap that passed as rock and roll during the eighties. But going through the anemic concert and music movie section of my local video store I found this movie and realised that Chucks country blues was the vein I needed to tap to get at the good stuff.
I saw this movie at its round in the theaters. Later bought the tape. Now I am the proudest owner of the 4 DVD pack, purchased at a great price at Amazon (highly recomended). As Clapton rightly says in the movie I LOVE the ballads and laid-back-blues that sparingly came over his career. Try them, there a bunch of them. Chuck is the man. As goes Lou Reed's theme... my life was saved by rock 'n' rol

Chuck to Keith: "Sure do play some pretty, pretty chords to be a Rock 'n' Roller! Shoulda been a jazz artist!"
Keith's reply: " No money in it, Chuck! No money in it!"

Boy did Chuck stick it to Keith! Talk about a temperamental performer! Great film, though.
