  • What is needed to add more channels?

  • why all this n no usb

  • can i use this in reaper

  • I am puzzled that it doesn't have any DIGITAL OUTs and/or WORDLOCK IN/OUT

  • @DiGiT183 yeah im cunfieused

  • i spent the money on this thing and then lost the templates and alesis does not have any to replace them!!! The only removable part, they don't carry replacements!!! What kind of BS show are they running? I have loved and used alesis products for years and i have never seen such a blunder! Any one have Logic template i can have? I would settle for a scanned copy but alesis won't even provide that for me!!! hard to forgive this one! you have alot of compitition out there alesis and i'm looking!

  • @peacefaulaggresser i got all the template strips. i can make a copy if u need

  • Hey Alesis Staff. Do you guys sell any stand alone audio workstations, portastudios, or studio in a box by any chance?

  • can i use this in reaper

  • holy shit. is there a single demo out there for this product that doesn't involve a talking head blabbing the whole damn time? All I want is a video of the thing in action, tracking automation curves with the natural sound of the mechanics of it. Holy shit. There are more than enough videos out there about all the selling points.

  • @franklinpeach i have the master control. if u want mr to make a demo of it i can

  • @jnyce695 thanks for the reply man. Is it any good? Noisy? What software do you use with it?

  • @franklinpeach first of all i have a pro studio, ive worked at other pro studios and my company has major record label business so i know whats industry standard. the converters are rock solid and sound about as good as they can get. the faders are sensitive, lighting fast and accurate. its ultra silent and it doesn't even get hot. i use it with logic and it works seamlessly. when u really learn it you'll be controlling ur plugins with it as well. its an all in one and does the job professionaly

  • itz pretty much ALL-in-ONE package....heaven sent!!!!!thinking of upgrading....=)...does it work wit WINDOWS 7 though??

  • Can you use the 8 endless knobs to adjust the input gain of the 8 TRS inputs?

  • Interface with a freak sample rate and a control surface "All in one"... Good if you know how to handle it... Just the control surface is expensive... But this sample rate is freak so... The price isn't that bad...

  • I had the alesis usb pro drum kit. that was good. but the multimix firewire 12 ch. had some really bad preamps and eq. can't recommend their pro audio stuff. they just compromise on quality to provide all that functionality. the final result is mediocre sound quality even with a high sample rate. preamps is what matters in the end.

  • I'm buying Multimix 16 USB 2.0 for Recording Live Performances... Is all i can buy for multitrack that many inputs... Yeah i though about sound quality with those but is not for studio recording so i'm confident with it... Just good sounding live videos to upload on youtube...

  • alesis have a talent for creating mediocre products. from what i see this thing is dated already.

  • Why mediocre... Try Looking "Multimix 16 usb 2.0" and look for drummers... GOOD SOUNDING drums... If you own a bad Alesis product you can't badtalk about it but don't say "All the Alesis gear is mediocre" cause is not true...

  • 24 banks

  • I like the talk back mic, cause I often talk to myself during a session, and I cant hear me,.

  • Does anyone know if this can also work with video editting software?

  • it;s perfect but not happy with the price

  • not happy with the price? you have got to be kidding me....no other product on the market offers high quality 192 khz audio interface with jitter suppression, motorized faders, DAW integration with major softwares, assignable buttons, etc...

  • i have a candid question, when and why would 192 khz would be necessary?

  • When you are making music for DOGS and don't want to lose the fidelity of your DOGWHISTLE.....(their hearing goes up to 60Khz.....)

  • Isn't the 192 kHz a sample frequency, like 44,1 or 48 kHz?

  • yes it is....but the fact is, humans only can hear up to about 20kHz, and a sample rate over 48 kHz gives you more "fidelity" but humans cant actually hear the difference. If you are recording an album for your pet bat, then you need 192 kHz.

  • You're talking two different things here. The sample freq refers to the fidelity of the digital representation of the analog wave form. It has nothing to do with the actual sound freq which is what human don't perceive below 20kHz.

Think of it as slices of the analog wave form. Higher sample rate means more slices equals closer representation of the actual wave form.

  • Hi Heath.......the highest resolution a CD offers at this point is 44.1 Khz.......and that is over twice the frequency of human hearing......so WHY do I need more than that again? (unless im making an album for my pet mouse of course!!!)

  • Like marmosetg said you are talking about two different things. This is talking about the detail in the data caputred not the freq range of what we hear. Google audio sample bit-rate

  • The MasterControl certainly looks great. However, I was disappointed by the initial pricing point, as I'd anticipated that an Alesis product would be priced more competitively relative to the field of similar products. The MasterControl appears to have been priced at the same level as potential rivals.
