I have been a physician for 35 years. Not one physician I know supports this. This bill will legalize arbitrary irresponsible government control of both patients and Drs. It will increase costs, limit access and set life saving test and procedures off limits. Affordable, cost effective private insurance will be destroyed, and the great medical practice we all now enjoy will perish. The liberals will finally get the medical ignorance they all want, inexperienced and ineffective, like Obama.
Great comments. I do a lot of work with the VA hospitals with what I do. If they are a snapshot of govt. run healthcare, we're all in deep trouble. There are a lot of good, caring people. But, there are also those just there for a pension. So much waste, unnaccountability and innefficiency. Scary.
Stickmodee, I agree about the VA, I run a VA clinic 1 day a week. Lots of paper work, not enough patient care, with >50% of dollars to administration. We Drs in Medicine know what the problem is. It only states there that the old person can chose his own health treatment with the help of their physician. That means when he comes to an old age would he like to have as life sustaining treatment. If people would just Google the health care bill they would be better informed. ATTENTION, This Health Care Bill (H.R.3200) will kill the elderly. Read pages 425 - 430. The care for the elderly will decrease as their age increases. On page 425 of the proposed bill, it says that everyone on social security (will include all senior citizens & SSI people) will go to MANDATORY counseling every 5 yrs to learn & to choose from ways to end your suffering (and your life). Yes, they are going to push SUICIDE to cut Medicare spending! Health care will be denied based on age. $500 bil will be cut from seniors healthcare. The only way for that to happen is to drastically cut health care, the oldest and sickest will be cut first.

It only states there that the old person can chose his own health treatment with the help of their physician. That means when he comes to an old age would he like to have as life sustaining treatment. If people would just Google the health care bill they would be better informed. On page 425 of the proposed bill, it says that everyone on social security (will include all senior citizens & SSI people) will go to MANDATORY counseling every 5 yrs to learn & to choose from ways to end your suffering (and your life). Yes, they are going to push SUICIDE to cut Medicare spending! Health care will be denied based on age. $500 bil will be cut from seniors healthcare. The only way for that to happen is to drastically cut health care, the oldest and sickest will be cut first.

The private health insurers have had PLENTY of time to get competitive to lower costs. All they have done is to compete to raise costs. It is WAY past time for our government to step in with a public option. Our federal government is here to do what the states can not. And the states have NOT done it right. Call your Congressman and support the publiic option. We are getting totally ripped off by private insurance companies. The top CEO makes $200,000 while 50 million people are not covered.

Socialized health care is actually pretty bad. Just ask a Canadian. When you're healthy it's good because you know you're covered, but when you get sick, you're in trouble.
Socialized health care leads to doctor shortages, months of waiting for operations, rationing, and people being denied treatment.
We might not have affordable health care, but here people aren't denied treatment.
There are ways of lowering prices, like using HSAs so people actually pay attention to costs.

Banks are crashing, FDIC is almost broke, your 401K is less than half since Jan 20th and the stock market is sinking.Your now paying other peoples mortgages, hidden Tax increases, 20 TRILLION spent and now Obama now says our problems all stem from the high cost of health care? Who is going to pay for this? You libs need to start controlling this jerk before he ruins your life.

To the WORLD
This morning I sat down in five hotels writing about GOD,LOVE & WORLD PEACE in 11 languages & handing my works over to 10 glorious individuals representing 7 nations.
4 of them were in the investment sector & adore my partners Albert Arnold Gore Jr (Al Gore) & Sir Richard Branson. Google those names with World Peace.
I shall continue for PEACE is what most of the world desires.
