  • Awesome lashup Tommy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a question. MTH says that you can only run 190 VA or 10 amps thru each channel of their TIU and you can only run one channel to each track system (without isolation track). So if you are using DCS how can you be operating over 10 amps? Thanks for your reply in advance bro and have a great one! Great video!

  • @byates59 Internally theirs a 20 amp fuse (inside the TIU) *I've put my TIU's through "utter hell" exceeding 20 amps and aside of melting the lugs (they were loose where "nutted" inside the TIU's) that's it. IOW I've tried to intentionally "blow" my TIU's and have found their indestructible. *** I use Lionel bricks in parr. ONLY) That's all I know. I run my stuff HARD, too this date: NO Failure. :-)

  • @TommyZTrains Thanks Tom, that helps alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very nice Tommy! I have the MoPac Hertage myself. I'd like to get a Legacy Heritage engine. BTW are you using Legacy or DCS to run these? Anyway nice video! (You now have a new subscriber!)

  • @nintendowii20001 Hi, (& thank-you) :-) I have 100% MTH and no Lionel what-so-ever.

  • Oh good. Sorta had me worried there. Poor little guys huffing and puffing and slowly going up that hill. Love the George Bush train. It's really pretty. Yeah, we miss him. Love The Katy she is a pretty sight.

  • I hope this doesn't hurt your locomotives, it's impressive, but are they gonna be ok?

  • @Showgirl7able They'll be fine. :-)

  • Wow, you must spend more a year on smoke fluid than I spend on trains total.

  • @kjhartje Yeah ... I go through the stuff ... :-)

  • The Union Pacific SD70ACe UP 1988 "The Katy" visited Michigan several years ago. Which UP other commemorative scheme SD70ACe diesels happened to visit Michigan?

  • @AndrewNeilFalconer I sure don't know ... ALL Trains are gone here. (Where I am)

  • @TommyZTrains Then it must be near a former C&O mainline. Somebody could run MTH Number 1 Gauge trains on the old roadbed.

  • @TommyZ THATS THATS A SHAME

  • I LOVE TRAINS BUT I WOULD NEVER HAVE GOERGE BUSH NAME ON ANY OF MY ENGINES MAYBE BILL CLINTON BUT NOT BUSH

  • I have to ask Tommy, so when the neighbors saw all the smoke coming out of the place I bet they thought the joint was on fire! LMAO!!! You may have to invest in a roof exhaust vent! LOL That smoke out was insane!

  • @PghTrainFanatic LOL ... NOT if the Neighbor's YOU ! :-)

  • Tommy, do you have to add any weight to the locos so they keep traction with the rails?

  • @Taquin1977 None at all ... the grades are what really tax the units ... *they do "bark" a tire from time to time. :-)

  • WOW George Bush said he smoked but, I didn't know he smoked that much!! LOL Tommy, that was the smokiest smoke out I have ever seen!!!! WOW!!!! that was the best!!! • Tommy what an awesome vid! I love your "no limit" attitude on your layout, you pull whatever you want with whatever you want. Its amazing! I might ask you some more questions about using Lionel power blocks with the Z4000. Again awesome vid!

  • Awesome video Tommy! Loved every second! Thanks for sharing! Talk about some punch these locos have some power! They handled it like pros every inch. I would of probably been gased out from that smoke about 1 minute in that is crazy! I bet you had the fans going at 110% LOL Thanks again Tommy!
