If you know about Sickle Cell Anemia, it is when the red blood cells are affected and change shape because it doesn't have the same type of hemoglobin as normal cells. So this animation is basically displaying how this transformation of cells occur. The sickle cells are not flexible and cannot move properly throughout the body which causes problems. @UrgedCRUSHER well it may look that way but its definitely no joke.sicklecell is so painful i shuld know cuz i got it.its somethin about it skipping generations in a person's family.extremely painful.weird thing iz i have it but i know maybe 10-15 facts about it.i never cared much to learn about it but its real serious.
how could a normal blood cell form intto a sickle cell intsantly???

Sickle cells have the normal concave disc shape under high-oxygen conditions; they only become their classic "C" shape when they are deoxygenated.
