  • @darlamilf47 I think it sounds better...

  • From an old skool metalhed Bitch if you've never heard of these guys you need to buy out of the cellar and invasion of your privacy 2 awesome cds.

  • Comment removed

  • you should hear the song called "lack of communication" by Ratt from the same album/cd "Out of the Cellar" if you like this one.

  • @bigalwitz Lay It Down is on Invasion of Your Privacy, Lack Of Communication is on Out Of The Cellar.

    Yo!

  • you should here the song called "lack of communication" by Ratt from the same album/cd "Out of the Cellar" if you like this one.

  • man I had never heard of these guys till someone posted about them on my channel. These guys fuckin rock! Got that Awesome 80's metal sound.

  • kiss ass song :D

  • bad ass song from ratt 9 people dont know what real music sounds like

  • Everything went wrong after the 80's. Everything! 80's metal ruled!!!!

  • My favorite RATT song.

  • @TheLastBrainLeft me too!!

  • takin this into guitar lessons tonight :] frikkin love this song!

  • Best part: 00:00 to 3:27

  • i always considered the beginning solo in this song to be one of the legendary hair metal solos back in the day

  • Hott!

  • One of my favorite RATT songs of all time.

  • Not only best Ratt song but one of the best songs ever for me.

  • warren Demartini ... he's really it..

  • Greg Howe's Red Handed.

  • reeeeeeeeeally dont think the guy between warren and steven is a fit for ratt but whatever i guess

  • One of the greatest riffs in metal history, with a driving rhythm that puts this song, for me, somewhere in the top 25 metal songs of all time.

  • making rock and roll live forever is eating candy bars, just get rid of the rappers B)

  • Ah, the 80's-what an era.Today's music-not even close-This is power Rock!

  • @Flatband you damn well know it...i grew up with this music ...i love it

  • 7 people are obviously just bieber fans...

  • the guy in the middle is grabing his nuts.... >.>

  • Aw pignuts! Lame fuggers....

  • Infestation was the best album of 2010,,,,just amazing licks!

  • Warren DeMartini is such a killer guitarist...he still is tearing it up on their CD last year, Infestation. Carlos Cavazo is great on there as well! Their best work in 25 years...

  • the eighties heavy metal will never go away for me. Nothing can replace it. Rap is trying to make a statement , unfortunately, all they talk about is murder, and dissing women. Its a shame. Heavy metal, all we talk about is wanting to fuck, i think thats a ok. I miss the lead guitar. Go slash, keep it rocking....

  • @99karmagirl fuck yeah! rap is drugs and racism and violence. 80's metal is tits and ass! METAL!! VAN HALEN, MOTLEY CRUE, RATT!!!!!!! \m/

  • The diffrence between Rock and Rap is that (old skool) rap is more easy listening and a driving music. Rock (Metal) is in your face, obnoxious, and kicks your ass so hard your organs dribble out your ears. More for the obnoxious partyers. When I say rap I do NOT mean mainstream, that is garbage. Both genres have a place, they even mixed in the Aerosmith song. But apart they are enjoyable to those who apperciate either genre or both. NOT MAINSTREAM

  • saw them in 83 san jose event center awsome

  • This is my fave RATT song. The guitar solo is MONEY!

  • @vinnykster - I agree this is one of the best guitar solos ever. WD is a master.

  • Saw them recently in Calgary.. they sounded great.. completely exceeded my expectations!!

  • RATT--"LAY IT DOWN"

  • There were a lot of shitty 80s hair/glam metal bands, but RATT weren't one of them.

They were one of the (fewer) good ones.

  • I would love to take me and my friends back to 1982. Growing up in that time would be amazing.

  • Listening to ratt makes me cry about how i will never get to grow up in one of the coolest decades to exist the fuckin early and late 80s. Dude I would trade in my life to live 1 day in the 80s. Going to arcades listening to great music chiller people, Going to movie theaters (A night mare on elm street friday the 13th jason X).Not to mention SLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im so jelouse people that grew up in the 80s listening to this must have had the funnest child hood. Only if wishes could come true D:

  • @IEightMYFRIENDS Well, I was a teenager in the 80`s and it was a blast. You made so many great points, like going to the movies and arcades. It was just a great time. The music wasn`t about being politically correct, it was more about good times. I really miss the 80`s attitude. I wish you could have experienced it also. Take care my friend.

  • @pdk25 thanks for the comment, i wish i had a time machine :( but maybe when im older and its like 2040 maybe kids will tell me i grew up in the coolest decade or something but still. I wish the 80s trend would come back if there even is such a thing. That would be cool but nothing will ever be like the 80s again were in a new generation and everything is about computers playing or beating a video game is more important then playing a guitar or sport or making a new friend. The world has changed

  • no shit man, i would love to go back to the seventies and 80s too, im so frikin mad, i wud just love it

  • OMG LMFAO i love ur little commentary thing going on there....made me laugh.

  • YEA ROCK !!! the only good music

  • @buminbeer2 So would your assertation regarding "YES" include "Big Generator"? If so, I would have to disagree with you on that point.

  • @klutz94306 no bitch-ass!! How about WHIGGERS RUINED MUSIC! It's these pasty white dippy little shits who wanna be "Gangsta Niggers" so bad, that record companies target them to mass produce that bullshit!! DO YOUR FUCKIN' HOMEWORK KKKLUTZ!!

  • @ubq512 Yep, I agree. "Rap" music is usually sold to pimply white teenagers who MIGHT have seen a black person once (probably on TV, or from afar in a mall) who would like to THINK they're black. Usually they pick the BAD traits of African-American culture which 95% of black people don't even like.

  • If you give me one chance... to probe my self.. BEST PART EVER!

  • best Ratt song ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • niggers ruined music.

  • @klutz94306 What the hell are you talking about they were pretty much the reason we aren't listening to Classical music.

  • @phailez probably right I'm just sick of all the rap and r and b bullshit that's being produced these days.

  • @klutz94306 really? even chuck berry and jimi hendrix? black people invented the blues, jazz, and rock and roll. just say rap ruined music

  • rap is computer music..simple.

  • @dcsign You got that right & none of them even know what a guitar looks like.... its sad & the young generation toss's there $ at them & they survive off the youth of today.

  • @dcsign wrong. it's not music either :)

  • @dcsign rap and music don't belong in the same sentence.

  • RATT AND ROLL!!

  • WHOA!!!! This just kicked my ass ! Raat RULES !

  • Ratt Kickks Raps ass !

  • Juan and Robbin made Ratt what they were! Without them there is no Ratt!

  • 1 person would rather lay it up... fail

  • @popacap21 lay it sideways????

  • @popacap21 HAHAHA classic.

  • I'm only 15 and I've seen Ratt in concert twice... I'm SO SO SO glad my parents taught me to like good music <3

  • Sweet audio!

Nice and crisp. Just like the music of RATT!

    Stay rocking everyone!

  • FUCKIN`AWESOME SONG

  • warren de martini ftw!

  • I'm Totally digging the current pic!!! LOVED these guys!!!! Got some Great pix at one of their concerts.....YEAH BABY!!!!!! Lay it Down!!!!! <3

  • always a great jam they just need a new singer despertly that man can not sing at all it s hard to get past hes so bad

  • 2010. one of the worst years of music!! This represents the real stuff . Unlike these idiots raping about cars, girls and money. Let Rock & Roll live FOREVER!!!

  • Ratt = one of my favourite bands.

Screw 'you me at six' and all this modern wank, teenagers are so stupid man, RATT FOREVER!

  • ONE total assfuck don't like this!

    EVIL eye to you!

  • Ratt was real not like the fake crap below by Eminem really shot a Cop huh? sad Left the keys in the van, with a gat in each hand Went up in Eastland and shot a policeman Fuck a peace plan of citizen bystands But shit is in my hands, here's your life span For what your life's worth this money is twice than Grab a couple grand and live a nice land See I'm a nice man but money turned me to Satan I'm thirsty for this green so bad I'm dehydratin' Hurry up with the cash bitch, I got a ride waitin'
  • I don't think these guys are a joke! This was huge when I was young. Like so much hair metal the themes eventually wore thin and got kind of irrelevant to my life but that's how music evolves right? I still appreciate it though, it was such a defined era, even if I'm more likely to rock out to a Jack White or Silversun Pickups riff these days.

  • The emotion in the first 5 notes of the solo are sick...

  • This is where it was at in the 80s......... boy life's different now a days !!!

  • i dont think these guys are a joke. i grew up on this shit!

  • HELL YEAH !

  • these guys fucking rock use to love em as a boy still do

  • Warren DeMartini FTW...

  • RattNRoll! \m/

  • Man I love these guys, warren melts face

  • Hey omgiaamazed - 74,906 views on Sept 17, 2010 :) Ratt Rules *does the metal horn fingers sign*

  • This is the music that saved rock & roll in the 80's! When these bands were kicked to the gutter, rock n roll suddenly died & since then has never returned.

  • Ratt, one of the most underrated bands of the 80's.

  • @enchanted495 You sir, have no fucking respect for real music. If you really like and enjoy and respect real music, you shouldn't kill it by stealing all their stuff.

  • Maybe you should get the new Ratt album.

  • nowadays the kids think its gauche to get fawked up and let it all hang out with the hard rock sleaze rock of the `70`s and `80`s.Crapola like U2 and Oasis are responsible for the saccharine ,socially correct,,almost MusaK state of blandness rock has taken on since the late `90`s.Monotone vocals, verses homonymous with the chorus`,and the instrumental breaks are unremarkable `cos of the lack of musicianship. Its time for another rock revival.

  • @PAULOcbi, youngster U2 is great though, 1980-1981.

  • ya baby !!! still gives me goosebumps!!

  • Not gonna lie, this is the number one most played song on my iTunes right now 8-)

  • it sounds way better in this version for the intro

  • Warren D. Martini could shred. And apparently he still can folks. Ratt still has it.

  • damn...at the first moment the guy on the second left looks like nikki sixx oO btw awesome band.. !

  • These guys HAVE,what it takes in abundance!!!! always have had, always will have....very,very stylish. That goes for a hell load of Ratt's back catalogue.Rock on boys!!!

  • You know these guy have proved that with hard work and catchy tunes you could make it they work their asses off to get where they are and the songs are about getting laid what else could I say!

  • Stop complaining about how rock died out, and how metal will be no more and the music industry wrosens everyday... You know, i feel like i am the one to create some type of comeback, like i deeply feel this. I dpn't think i feel it like the others do, i do feel it! I'm a unique on the guitar. I'm 14 and it only took a couple of minutes to learn the opening riff!(i've played songs in the past so i ahve experience.) It's like i was given a gift. I will revive real music!

  • @bowie136 gosh you are on glue.

  • @bowie136 And an army shall arise from this music industries ashs like a phoinex. Our genration cant let this die

  • even tho im not a big fan of what hair bands did to real metal bands like broks helm and diamand head i think this song sounds pre bad ass

  • You know the 70's and 80's were the only times when a generation could see eye to eye. I "learned to love the late 60's - 70's" Hendrix, Joplin, CCR, Floyd, Sabbath" and so on like my parents learned to love Ratt, Yes, Prince, Madonna, Night Ranger, Loverboy and so on. I could not tell you who loved the 90's or 2000's whatever that is called??? Ratt and Roll baby....what happened to the music and sorry not to hate, but rap is not music, just stolen samples and beats..hate me now :)

  • @buminbeer2 well spoken \m/

  • @buminbeer2 the best musical time of Yes, was in the late 60's and 70's, and there is when they became "famous", then they just started making pop music, and they sold out to money, wich I consider a sad thing.

  • @buminbeer2 why would anyone hate you? We need more individuals like you and BeboAlitzer

  • @buminbeer2 Did you get any hate mail..

You speak the truth though...But how bout that lady gaga shit and all others that sound similar..i hate that shit more than rap..but rap does indeed suck...

  • @blazehand187 Oh yes, lots of hate mail. I was a little surprised by the responses, but after all, we are watching a Ratt video, aren't we :)

  • @blazehand187 Not all rap sucks. Mainstream does though but you could say the same about mainstream rock which basically no longer exists. Its rappers like lil wayne, wakka flakka, gucci mane, drake, wiz khalifa. I could go on and on. Rappers like Kid Cudi, Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, Old Kanye West, and Chiddy Bang are good rappers who do not get the recognition they deserve except for eminem. On another note good song.

  • I dont give a shit either people that dont like RATT are crazy. Always have been my favorite band and always will be period. RATT AND ROLL..

  • this is music!!!!! i dont give a flying fuck what anybody else thinks, but this is what music is supposed to be...not some bullshit about killing people and raping their mommas, not shit about fireflies, and not that new synthetic sounding camel shit that they call rock now days.....modern musicians need to step back and listen to the ones who actually gave a damn and put their blood, sweat, and tears into what they were playing. metal from the 80s era IS the best music to ever be created!!!!!

  • @BeboAltizer I'll take Led Zep and The Who over 80s Hair Metal any day of the week.

  • @neeonzen Cool, that leaves Ratt, Poison, and Cinderella for me.

  • @BeboAltizer and for me too :D

  • @BeboAltizer yes love it buddy.

  • @BeboAltizer I love the 80's too you have to understand times have changed, music has changed, and to survive in the music industry you have to develope a new style. Listen to the music and have your pics. Don't be an ass and not comprehend what came out of your mouth ,or fingers, or I suppose it came out of your brain......................Think before you speak and Practice What You Preach

  • @BeboAltizer Amen

  • @BeboAltizer ...You Said It !!!

  • @BeboAltizer well of course! but honestly That's YOUR opinion! We're different :) We listen to what We want to listen to!

  • @BeboAltizer I fucking quote that for truth man, You took the words right out of my mouth!!! >:D

  • @BeboAltizer DUDE U JUST SAID EVERYTHING I THINK OF MUSIC TODAY, RATT N ROLL DUDE!!!

  • @BeboAltizer

Amen brother, this is the shit!

  • @BeboAltizer: Couldn't agree with you more my cyber friend! Add to the list: The Crue, Poison, Bon Jovi, GNfR are the shit! Today it's all about wearing jewellery, acting like a typical nigger who mugs people and allergic to reading (not a black person as Chris Rock says they set the example, which is true). In other words music talent shows that produce manufactured shit, which wankers go out and buy. The 80s rock scene is where I want be again!

  • @jace007 You look up "Crashdiet - Like a Sin" and listen to the rest of their library. There's a new wave of bands like Ratt.

  • @BeboAltizer Holy fuck that was full of epic truth!

  • @BeboAltizer that's right!!! respect!

  • @BeboAltizer I'M AGREE WITH YOU MEN !

  • @BeboAltizer

well said ,very well,i also give a sh*t what other say...so rock on :-) from austria

  • not all was cool in the eighties...there was some crap too,but finally, awesome president, cool cars(not that egg battery sh*t) great music, nice girls who looked so sweet, people are respected each other....ahhhhh it was awesome :-)

  • FUCK YEA!!!!!!

  • @BeboAltizer Damn! Straight!!

  • fukn rights. this riff fukn opens up a different world of tone and riffery... hands down "one killer riff"

  • super happy im seeing them tonight at the northwoods rock rally \m/ WHOO!!

  • Man....This kind of music was great. It was about women, fun and the good life. Today its a bunch of "down and outers" singing about misery. I like 80s metal because it makes me feel great. How can you beat a great and expected guitar solo?! Best music ever! Good gosh what do we even have close to this today?!

  • i mean sure in the old rock videos there were videos of strippers n what no but they never referred to them as hoes. its hard to explain. there was respect during those times. now and in the early 90's there was and is no respect. to tell u the absolute truth im surprised sade n all those wonderful atists got big. it seemed like gangster rap was taking over. anyways i digress... got all riled up. i still remember the old, and while i do listen to the new i still keep this stuff golden

  • period it was all about a good time. cocaine abuse was the worst thing we had to worry about... and aids... when the 90's hit gangster rap was the scene. the ghetto stories where what was told and it sold like hot cakes. i used to be able to ehar intelligent lyrics saying how beautiful a woman was with instruments behind the voice. talent. now all i hear is a synthasized beat made by a computer with some uneducated person talking about a female grinding on a pole like a ''hoe''. THATS WHATS COOL

  • people where ''tired'' of the ''depressing times'' with bands like bush and all them, who sang about sadness n what not. sometimes love. they bunched ''metal'' up together n decided they hated it. so their going to thug now. what they dont see is its just as bad if not worse then grunge and metal. we have more gangs on the streets then ever. bands like poison n white snake got bunched up into the metal genre n people think its just a sad joke and we were idiots for liking it. when that time

  • Warren Demartini is and alway has been a great guitar player for Ratt and his stint with White Snake, and the late and great Robbin Crosby who co wrote this song.

In my opinion, this is "the best opening riff ever" Slack D tuning rocks.

  • fuck you thrash vs hair fighters

This video is about RATT !

    RATT N ROLL friends!

  • cheesy band...but hell, this is their stairway!

  • hahaha! i know you only want ... romance.... (whisper)...ill give u all that i caaan

  • So pumped im going to be seeing them in a week or so.. rock on ratt see you at rock rally ..WISCONSIN!! WHOO!

  • FUCK METALLICA, OOPS IM SORRY .. POPALLICA!!!

  • @icee562 Metallica is great, and if anyone is pop its Ratt, i love Ratt, but they like poofed their hair and metallica just went out wearing what ever they felt like wearing

  • the bridge these guys would write for there songs would always give me goosebumps like at 2:00 such in amazing beat and sound drive me crazy has a simliar one as lay it down...and the one on between the eyes is epic shit even the whole beginning to end is too every fuckin song

  • Dudes, chill, just listen to the music my best friend plays death metal and also has some major on guitar theory or stuff like that, listens to many "classical" composers and still has a spot on his heart for "hair metal" so do i....

  • i went to there concert!! they were awesome

  • Brutal Legend FTW!!!

  • this shit is timeless

  • I normally despise 80s hair metal (I prefer older stuff like Led Zeppelin, and harder stuff, ie thrash), but goddammit this is a great song. Heard it for the first time on Planet Rock the other day. Never heard of Ratt before, but I'm loving this.

  • @EccentricRichard

you need to get more into hair metal ; it was amazing

  • @fireboltttt - nah, a lot of it still sucks. I mean, I can't stand Motley Crue, for example, it's all just so shallow. Anyway, the so-called 'hair metal' wasn't actually metal, it was rock. At the time that the whole hair metal thing was going on, you had bands like Motorhead and Venom showing what was actually metal...

  • @EccentricRichard

Nah, Hair Metal had Passion, Emotion and Soul; not to mention it was the most successful Genre of music lasting over 30 years; Thrash Metal is long gone; there was not enough talent in it. Motorhead and Venom are just noise in my opinion.

  • @fireboltttt - thrash long gone? Pahahaha! Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Exodus, Testament, Annihilator... all the important thrash bands are still around. Plus there's a whole wave of new thrash bands around - listen to Evile's latest album and THEN tell me there's no talent left in thrash. Also, hair metal, lasting over 30 years? By 1993 it was buried, first by thrash and other forms of 'extreme' metal, then by grunge and alternative rock...

  • @fireboltttt - also, don't confuse the likes of Led Zeppelin with hair metal: they were something different entirely. Furthermore, hair metal the most successful genre of music, because it lasted over 30 years? So how do you square that with many millions of people still cherishing Bach, 260 years since Bach's death? I very much doubt that Motley Crue will still be remembered in 2240... whereas Bach will live forever in one of that great pantheon of hypergeniuses.

  • @EccentricRichard

you dont understand; yes glam was buried in 1993, but so was Thrash; it was killed by Grunge; grunge then died in 1998 and Thrash metal and Hair Metal made a massive comeback in certian parts of the USA. I'm just telling you my opinion; I don't like Thrash Metal; it just seemed too fake and too noisy; it had no Emotion in it; it was Angry; Hair metal made people happy. Hair Metal was also much more talented' just listen to the guitar solos. I've never heard of Bach

  • @fireboltttt - thrash was never killed to quite the same extent. Hair metal seems not to have had such a comeback - here in Britain, there was one band called Towers of London who sought to revive it, and another called The Darkness looking perhaps a little further backwards, incorporating more of the spirit of Led Zeppelin, but TOL never made it and disappeared into obscurity, while The Darkness enjoyed a brief bout of significant success, but failed to follow it up and soon disbanded.

  • @fireboltttt - No emotion in thrash? Haha! There's loads of emotion - and it's mostly not about the stereotypical blood, killing, death, violence, etc.

Furthermore, you've never heard of Bach? Dear oh dear oh dear. I may be a metalhead, but I could not live without certain composers (for example, Bach, Haydn, Beethoven, Brahms, Mahler and so on). You should to listen to that kind of music. For example, Mahler's Sixth Symphony is a tour-de-force, exploring every corner of human emotion.

  • @EccentricRichard

I don't know man I'm just not a fan of Thrash; I might check them out sometime

  • Its all where u go man...here in Hollywood you can still sport the Metal Look and ppl Love it....i once had a personal challenge here to see if my Landlord would kick me out for playing a Marshall for 24/7...lol and it aint happened yet...Beer, Metal and Chicks!...Although all these Comedy clubs gotta go

  • many a good time to this ...

  • I grew up listening to this band...no offense, but this isn't Ratt without Juan and the late Robin Crosby. :(

  • Nothing will EVER compare to 80's metal bands from Ratt to Priest and from XYZ to Y & T. That was when music was music!!!!!!

  • Fuckin... Brutal...
