I got lucky with this game. I missed the origional one and when i saw the reprint im like, im going to get it. Then i accidently placed the order early before i was ready to buy it. Then a week later i saw they had sold out. So i was pissed and i dove into the browser history on my computer and found the send payment page from my order. I sent the payment with 45 dollars and I got my game :]. I lucked out and i burned the cd copy for my sega cd and now i own one of the rarest games on earth :]

I emailed the dev team requesting a pre-order. I'm under the impression that they will be doing a 2nd run of the game in a hard clam shell that will not come with the CD.

I hope they know there is still interest out here!

I'd buy both version if I they would sell them. I will NOT spend what people on ebay are asking for this game. I feel they are hurting the 'love' that the Pier Solar Team has created.

The graphics look absolutely spectacular, especially in what I presume are the 'cutscenes'. I'd honestly prefer to play a game that looks like this than Heavy rain or anything, this is just so awesome.

Whoo, just heard of this thanks to this video, was looking up some landstalker playthroughs and then this pops up in suggested videos? Awesome! Pre-ordered a copy immediately, as I would assume the pre-orders aren't going to last too much longer the US and EU versions are already gone, had to get the JP version, though luckily all versions have English as an option. I can't believe the attention to detail the folks at WMD have put into this game, its stunning. How is it a homebrew development team can top what so-called "actual developers" could create during the mega-drive's lifespan? Awesome, awesome work, looks better than a SNES rpg.

I pre-order this game in October 2008 and I supposed to get it in December 2008 but I still waiting for the game come out! Looks great, but one change I would make is this...

Instead of a poster, include a full color insert with the same dimensions as original Genesis/MD clam shell plastics cases so we can use a donor case for this game. Many Gen collectors have a few cases sitting around and we hate the cheaper cardboard cases. Just look at the Genesis cardboard releases on ebay, most of them are trashed when compared to the plastic case versions. I'll buy it either way, but I think an insert would be nice.

If we were to do that, we'd just release it on a plastic case, which is cheaper than the elaborate package design we have. If you ordered it, you'll see when the game arrives that the package is nothing like those made by Sega back in the day.

i have a small complaint and recommendation- don't pre order kids! this game was suppose to come out in 2008 but didn't due to difficulties; so you might pay, and not see results (perhaps they're using the money for production?) when it does come out, have at 'er and order- i don't really like RPG's but this one looks really good, on par with SNES FF games- to say the least.

I'm pretty sure you already know this, but the sega cd disc that comes with it works in conjunction with the cart to add the hi fi sound. YOu do not need the cd to play the game though, you can play it just off the cart. This game looks like it's going to rock. I pre ordered mine already, I suggest anyone who has a genesis do the same. Or go buy a genesis, they should be cheap, and get this game. $35 for this game is an absolute seal

Well, you would have to reprogram your PSP, so it's not instant. But the PSP makes great use out of SNES/NES/Genesis games, especially, if you are always on the road or need something to pass time by and you don't want to bring out a "clunky" 16-bit system out of the atic.

Maybe. I don't have a Genesis or anything, (nor did I ever), so yeah, if it doesn't get dumped, I just won't play it. It very well could get dumped, even if not immediately, maybe eventually. DS and PSP games are cracked, I am sure this one can too. (If it is truly any different.

I'm sure it can't, it uses completely different technology than DS and PSP. Even if it succeeded, it can't be played in an emulator because they can't take 64 mbit games. But that's okay, we are making the game for the fans.

This is actually the third Sega Genesis game to be released in the last three years. Before this was Begger Prince and Legend Of Wukong. the difference here is that those games are localizations of Korean RPGs, whereas Pier Solar is brand new.

Pier Solar is also about twelve dollars cheaper than those other two games. Crazy, no? Sega fans would be SILLY to pass this up! Especially considering a game this size would be over the $100 mark if this was still the 90s.
