For the people who use the argument of "Compared to other countries, the USA is relatively free."... yes, very good.

That doesn't change the fact that we still have a long way to go before we are truly free. That's the sentiment being expressing by Stanhope here. Comparing the USA to fucking Iraq does not prove that we're free... it just proves that we're not as oppressed. But we are still oppressed and controlled and limited in many many ways. The human race can be so much better.
