  • Jerry, the killer, the only one who didn't betray his rock n roll roots.

  • my mom an dad took me an my friend to jerry at a bar he was great kept yelling at the band when his drink was done he said thats it if you dont like it kiss my ass.

  • back in Florida around 1973 our drummer got a chance to go see the killer and he said pretty much the same thing. Jerry was yelling at his drummer about the tempo. If you listen to most of Jerry's fast stuff it starts out at a reasonable clip and he's going like a bat out of hell when he finished. But he may do that on purpose at any rate I think he's great and certainly an original....

  • @MrWeedpatch I have two friends who played in Jerry Lee Bands's and the stories they tell are like something out of a novel. And yes, He was really Hell on drummers, The only person who could tolerate him and stayed with him was Kenny Lovelace.

  • No-one follows the killer

  • @inya1lak You got that right! No one!

  • A true American BadAss. If you've never seen him perform, you ain't seen nothin

  • @BizWiz777 Oh man ain't that the truth! Saw him in Manchester 1977. Blew my mind.

They talk about Rock n Roll today and they don't have a clue. How happy I am to have

been a part of all of the 50's true Rockin. He still gives me goosebumps.

  • We have all been there - great stuff!

  • Killa feels it, thrills it - nails it !

  • I never leave whenever the drinks are free!!!!

  • Damn, when my hound dog died and my pick-up got a flat, I need to listen to 'The Killer"

  • Jerry's the best damn honky tonk country singer that ever took a breath...........

  • @jolem5000 .....As a business man ....Have ever wondered ,in a year ,why no one has subscribed to your Brand .

  • I agree with was a what was posted about Rod ,it should be embarrassing to him

to even try to sing any thing that JL sing's !

  • JERRY LEE CAN SING ANY THING 1 HE IS BETTER THAN ELVIS. I DID NOT

JUST HOW TALENTED HE WAS UNTIL I STARTED TO HEAR HIM SING

SO MANY SONGS.AND WOW HOW HE CAN PLAY THE PIANO !

  • @jolem5000 .....I was checking comment's about my long time favorite ..J .L .L ....What did find ,you ....I'm sure it's not that you forgot your Med's .....I think the men with the net's have not been alerted to your location .....Help is comming .

  • Country soul at its best.....nobody does it better than The Killer

  • @aprilwino It's Country Blues I agree The Killer is The King

  • Total package.

  • He WAS good...timing perfect.Ty 4 posting it. Glenda-Marie xxx

  • What excellent showmanship and great sound

  • After a few cool ones, this title becomes " Twat Fade Tilwakie Maymous:.

  • The whole family could tear up the piano, Rev Jimmy Swaggert, Mickey Gilley and the one and only " Killer " Jerry Lee Lewis. God love them all.

  • Listening to Jerry Lee on the radio one day told my Mom I wished I had a third of his talent. She asked why and I told her look what Mickey Gilley did with a tenth

  • Another of Jerry Lee's great country songs that was recorded after he transitioned from rock to country! He was not only a legendary rock artist, but proved that he could indeed sing country music with the "best of em!" I live about 50 miles from his hometown of Ferriday, LA and he was and is indeed "The Ferriday, Louisiana Wild Man!!." Long live Jerry Lee Lewis!

  • Once heard a music critic call Jerry Lee the greatest country singer ever. Only

    a slight exaggeration!

  • Wow. Now this is country.

  • as you listen to the words in this song, it follows the pattern of what a "country" song

should be....alcohol, bars, losing, cheating..I didn't hear a "train" or "prison" but stay tuned....What a Country, son !

  • like Conway Twitty , JLL made a nice transition from from R&R to Country . Suited him well , esp with this song. A heck of an entertainer...and can he ever sing!

  • Back in the 60s I would play this on the jukebox . It was a great time to honky tonk.

  • @xlch61 I just turned 26 about 2 months ago and have been playing jerry lee lewis' music on juke boxes for years now. All the older people like it when I "walk through the swingin' doors." For they know great music is on the way!

  • Rod stewart is a talking head. You can not compare a virtuoso to a cockrocker. How is that fair to some English fruit like Rod.You can't compare a man to citrus.I forgot. They have no citrus in England. Is that why Rods legs are bowed?Poor thing.I take it back.I watched a eric clapton concert recently.I thought medusa was on stage.Everyone around was frozen.I'm not a musician I'm a business man.Got no ideas of my own.

  • @jolem5000 Rod is Scottish!

  • I got to see Jerry Lee TWICE in the late 60s and early 70s down at the old Southern Aires Club in Atlanta. Both show were outstanding. He was singing mostly country in the 70s. Took some friends of mind from Boston that complained about the $15 each to get in to see him. After the show ... they said he was WELL WORTH IT! p.s. You can't even see his piano now for $15 ... lol.

  • Oh yes, Jerry is good here, but just watch the same clip, where What`d I say was rock`on,. Man, that just have to be JLL best. Show me more

  • Great performance from the Killer. He's in fine voice here! If anyone could post either "Mama can't see me down here" or "No More Hangin' On", two of JL's finest country songs, you would have my eternal gratitude. Thanks again for the post, thrund.

  • sing it Jerry!

  • Jerry Lee started the whole rock & roll/boogie woogie movement & will always be the King!

  • JLL is an entertainer par excellence, to say the very least.

  • Just great, what a classic, thanks for posting this, Jerry Lee is the King ...

  • it don't get any better than this.

  • Really?

One of the worsest duets ever was The Killer & Rod Stewart on Last Man Standing 2006 and it was Rod's part wich was totally crap. Would Jerry Lee sings a solo there it would be one of the best versions ever.

  • Rod couldn't carry the Killers underwear, much less out sing him.

  • now now people dont get jealous of mr stewarts supremacy to sing songs. jerry lewis would of sung this much better, never mind old jerry lee :)

  • First and foremost; I'm a huge fan of Rod's early work, but to say JLL is an inferior singer is, well, silly. Jerry Lee Lewis helped pave the way for Rod and all the great British rockers. Let's see, a pioneer from the deep south singing country, or, a disciple from London singing country. Yea, that's a real tough one...

  • now dont get all bitter & twisted. goodness gracious. you'l have great balls of fire elvis was a better singer ol jerry lee was jealous of him. thats y he tried to use a gun on him. rod on the other hand is by far more succesful, and a better entertainer, ol jerry was just like boring elton, never left his piano. fact...now peace be with you :o

  • I'm not bitter. I've seen Rod and JLL many times, have you? Rod has pretty much sucked since his do you think I'm sexy nonsense and to play a piano you have to SIT at a piano JLL didn't try to use a gun on Elvis, get your facts straight. Also, Elvis has said many times that there's no one better than JLL. What's Rockin' Rod singing these days, big band tunes? Success doesn't always = better. Also, I don't like guys prancing around like girls. Even if JLL got up he wouldn't act like that.

  • @da324 true elvis always said jerry lee was the best and he also said if he could play the piano like jerry lee could he wouldnt need to sing

  • yeah but jerry lee and elvis still rule but chuck berry is THE KING and jerry lee lewis is still rocking love em all

  • @da324 You are sooooooo rightxx Glenda-Marie

  • Anybody know the players?

  • Kenny Lovelace is playing fiddle. He still tours with Jerry Lee playing fiddle and guitar. He is one of the few who can "PUT UP" with the Killer or vice versa. LOL..

  • one of the best JLL country tunes.

  • @myspongebob2006 YES!!!

  • A favorite from my teenage-years!

  • TRULY GREAT !

  • I love this music. Thank you

  • I love JLL's country period and this song is one of my favorites. Thank you for posting it.
