  • someone upload Cash moneys set!!1 please

  • Should of been the '95 champ, was the '96 champ, and IF he would of entered the '97 DMC with this routine he would of won that as well.

    The man is a beast.

  • @ajetheman yeah i think hes better than craze

  • whats the song on 5:00??

  • @spacenoise5 song namd :M.E.T.H.O.D. Man (by Method man)

  • This is a video that any aspiring tablist must watch again and again: Scratching that's actually musical, precise beat juggling that sounds as good as it looks, and the Cash Money tribute from someone who's otherwise synonymous for artfully trashtalking the competition using craftily timed juggling back and forth between song lyrics. And to top it of, the guy pulls it all off without the need for headphones or in-ear monitors - just carefully marked records and a well-planned, perfect routine.

  • does any 1 know the beat at 1:06?

  • nice man full use of the technics mixer from about 1.50 the wah wah bubble Dj noize signature cut...yeaaah.!

  • Q-Bert, i very young A-Trak and Cash Money, loving it

  • 1.26 so good

  • the scratch at 1.16 is simply amazing

  • i bought this on video when it came out, takes me back :)

  • This was 97, not 98. Pz

  • 2:59 No mistakes allowed!!!

    very welll noize...

  • i've been playing this almost 6 hours straight now, love it.

  • Ilike sampler stract dj noise

  • Still one of the sickest battle sets ever, TIGHT

  • What is the name of that song at 3:13 and 3:20 and the second beat he scratches to can anyone tell me?

  • @slimshadyberryhill That would be "Move The Crowd" by Eric B and Rakim. If their first two albums aren't in your collection, you're blowing it. Get 'em!

  • i played with Dj Noise in the Lebanese Dmc in 1996 ... ths guy is a genious ...ill try to get his show that time ... he is the best

  • DJ NOIZE FTW!!

    Song at 3:35?

  • @thegangstaivan "Supastar" by Group Home

  • Love when he pulls METHOD man from wu-tang :D

  • Read an interview with Noize many mad years ago which attributed his dope wordplay skills to listening to mad hours of hip hop on regular train journeys he had to make. One of my DMC all time favourites for sure - back when DMC was dope, not today full of rubbish like C2C - no flava.

  • This is GENIUS. He won everything when it meant something.

  • When DJ Noise starts scratching on the Doug E Fresh Track, it is actually a tribute to DJ Cash Money(who is right behind him), who won the 1988 DMC Championship with the same routine.

Knowing that gives that part of the routine an extra special taste.

DJ Noise has skills and his routines are really smooth, even non djs can appreciate what he does.

  • @djxd74 It really fits very well with the whole routine as it's not a competition which he "says" with records in the beginning. So he can just do a copy of a classic routine. And havin the master himself in the background is just fuckin awesome. Noise is one of the few who can come up with these ideas and execute them to the highest level.

  • @djxd74 all them guys sitting in the background are top notch dj,s.

  • @djxd74 WORD UP... GROWING UP IN THIS, NOIZE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITES!!!... WHEN HE WENT HARD @ ROC RAIDA WAS CLASSIC

  • @djxd74 thats right!!!

  • @intelligence946 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @mchalo188 thanks for the input but no its similar but its not mobb, its definatly a remix of doug e fresh play only at night...... how annoyin need to ask noize himself

  • does anyone know definatly which version of only play at night that he's kuts over is???? its dope as fuk i need it, please someone help. is it hamster breaks vol 1

  • This just encourages me to keep being a dj :-)

  • i wonder if he does weddings ?

  • @matthew0502 listen..... the dude dont do weddings... he aint some nickel and dime ass homie...... u couldnt afford his services...... try the yellow pages.... ya heard.......

  • dude is crazy sick! top dj in my selstion!

  • black power haha fuck it!

  • the guy at the back looks like ali G XD lmao

  • Sick how he does the Scratch-Hommage-CashMoney-Routine and Cash is noding his head!!!

  • antichris78; I think its "bullet proof scratch hamsters" own battle lp from years ago, but i may be wrong on that.

  • anyone know what version of 'doug e fresh - play this only at night' he plays at 1.07? noize's scratching over it is so god damn funky

  • this set was just right

  • oh god i luv him..

  • Dont know about the sickest dj ever...but he is sick, transform skratchin at the beginning amazin...jugglin too....nice

  • wheres DJ ROK RAIDA upload him

  • got it , remix version of "Be happy " Mary J blige

  • gifted artist

  • Comment removed

  • sickiest dj eva stay up dj noize word to az

  • yeah im supprised no one has put dj noize"s lp up here ...

  • this is serious dj...this aint no easy stuff, this guys is teh best dj in the world, he has some ultra human skills

  • anyone know track at 1:07

  • Tune at 1.07 is Doug E Fresh 'Play this only at night'

    Mad props to Noize.

  • Mobb deep - G.O.D. pt. 3 remix !

  • Same instrumental!

  • Proper tablism. 5*

  • Wow!

    @rkdnb

track at 3:37 is Group Home-supa star

  • I guess 1:27 - 1:37 was supposed to be a little Cash Money tribute

  • fukin skillz

  • anyone knows track at 3:37

  • supa star by group home. If you are older then 20 and claim to be a hip hop head may god have mercy on your soul.

  • Noize is the ultimate DJ, Q-Bert has the best scratches, most surgicaly executed, kid koala has the sickest melodies sure but Noize is the ultimate jack of all trade of DJ ing, everything from the track he choose to the way he flips them is phenomenal, he will make you move your butt, not just impress you with mad skillz .

This very session, when I saw it on tape back in the days, is what made me wanna start scratching. So happy to be able to watch it again.

  • DJ Noize @ The Summit = The Summit for the DMC event IMHO.

Attending DMC's from around 88 - 98 was my religion then around 2000 just got too messy sounding with noise for the sake of noise - no clever hooks to entice and show-off the skills plus too many 'battle-weapon' records which in some cases was cheating.

1:07 - scratching 'Phantasm' theme = game over...

  • i agree by 2000 the dj was over like you say it all got messy tryin to be too technical

  • denmark representin!

  • So much stronger and more diverse than anyone else who stepped up @ the summit(yes I did see the Q-Bert session and it was average by his standards so Yes Noize Destroys)

  • Noize is the sickest!

  • qbert in the back is like yeah thats nice lol

  • BIG! Love it, I'm new to this guy and thats a dam shame!

  • My hero.

  • N1 el mejor

  • noize is unbelievable i adore him

  • Awesome tribute scratching to Cash Money, Noize is so rhythmic.

  • He killed it and came fully prepared that night.

  • This is actually from 97 the year Atrak won the world title.

  • this and Vajra's 2004 USA dmc set are my two favourites ever and Vajra was robbed.

  • NICE SET YO!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • WAS THIS REALLY 11 YEARS AGO..DAMN

  • NO IT WAS 12 YEARS AGO....1997

  • too sick boy!!!!!

  • DAM!!!THATS FUCKIN SWEET!

  • dope set

  • U se how his kinda callin out cash kuz I thnk guyz were lyk noize can't scratch

  • he's not callin out Cash for that.. he's doing that cause he's using a piece from Cash Money's DMC routine in 88' and flippin it NOISE STYLE!!

    get your history straight..

  • Yer man!! i remember my mate tellin me that a few years back. this is one of my fav DMC sets : )

  • nice one! I picked up that straight away that it was a Ca$h Money scratch...Noise isn't famous for his scratching, he is know for his lyric cutting mainly

  • Anyone know what the smooth beat at 3:36 is?

  • 3:36 is "original beats" track 9 from the album Mushroom Jazz 4 by Mark Farina. One of my favorite albums.

  • Thanks man

  • Group Home

  • supastar by Group Home

  • That's Group Home 'Living Proof' - nothing to do with Mark Farina. It's a DJ Premier beat.

  • Thanks for that bro, I guess daviditron got mixed up somehow

  • Whats the scratch ID (ie the name of that type of scratch)from 1:19 (sounds like a variation of the transformer).

  • this is hundred times more genious and creative than scratVHHH!"!!"

  • Qbert that bandit is so jealous

  • la wea terrible de mula

  • ayoq got pissed at noize cuz he took his shyne.

  • flawless...........

  • Could anybody up the Cash Money set from The Summit used to have it on video but it got robbed so any help appreciated. Cheers.

  • lets face it a dj is supposed to play fah the crowd and thats why i have to say Noize is probably the best dj that DMC ever had as a contestant.

  • I love how Noize throws beats in with the snare before the 1 count....Very simplistic, but sounds so dope.....I think its pretty funny how much Qbert was feeling this to in the background....And when he dropped the Badboy remix you could tell that made A-trak be like damn.....

  • beat playin at 4.50? safe

  • dj premier instrumental

  • It's by Group Home, think it's off the 'Livin Proof' LP.

  • This is one of my favourite sets of all time, first time I saw 2 click flares using the upfaders. I agree a great video to show people just starting out.

  • 1:30 i see a smile on Swifts face, now he know what it is about !

  • The great thing about this video, is that Q, Raida and Noize are all on it, and they all have completely different styles, i.e. Scratching, Beat-Juggling and Phrase-Cutting. It's the perfect video to show a DJ who is just starting out.

  • doe anyone know where i can find the intrumental version of the beat he scratches to?

  • erm if you're talking about 'Play This Only At Night' then the first half of the records instrumental anyway which is what he uses if you want it as a looper then you could just loop it yourself with a sampler, serato or anything else if not go old school and tape the record up.

  • thanks, i have found out its God part III - Mobb deep instumental

  • One thing's for sure - A-Trak was fucking lucky this guy didn't defend his title in '97!! Also, while I'm on the subject, I thought Total Eclipse should've represented the U.S., at the World Final, instead of Slyce.

  • Eclipse was nice in 97, Bug but if Craze hadnt had that prob with the turntable hed have taken it....even with the skipping he still killed it! But Eclipse was nice though!

  • That's a ridiculous statement. Craze wouldn't have won regardless that year. Slyce blew ecveryone away and Total E would've still come 2nd. The skip did not take anything away from Craze's routine and probably wouldn't have motivated him to do that kick ass routine in 1998

  • In their own right though, it's about the fact that they appreciated it. "SIKKKKK" may just have been a person's way of saying they liked it. Who cares if they know hip hop from a hole in the ground, they still dug it.

  • LIGHTNING FINGAZZ!

  • i like how he moves his hands along whit the vinyl, in the scratch. So he get better tracking loss.

  • thats not dougie fresh thats mobb deep GOD remix...cashmoney used dougie fresh in his old routine...thats why he turned around to him before he threw the beat on

  • thanks, that was exactly what i was looking for

  • sikk sikk sikkkkkk

  • what is the beat he scratches to, at 1:16 ?

  • play this only at night-doug e fresh

  • Noize is the best at what he does because he basicaly made up this whole style. instead of tryin to be Roc Raida or craze who can take out anyone with there tricks, he uses his brain to piece together breaks and beats to dis his opponets. the term would be "hes smooth". No one else out can really touch him on that level. Ive got alot of his routines and each of them are badass in there own right!

  • WORD!!! Noize is so fucking cool! He always looks so relaxed.

  • yeah ;D

  • i think your right homie!

  • number 3 is Mobb Deep - God Part Three (remix)

  • Skillz 4 rent. mad skill, best @ the 1st summit. SHIFT-B.P.M.

  • What's the beat at 3:36?

  • Group Home - Supa Star (Prod. by DJ Premier)

    A hip hop classic!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hes is damn creative, with the tribue to cash money :P(the scratch) and so many other things, the qbert only scratch, i think its boring, but its that what people (who are not dj's) want; "hey man, can you d some scratch !!" -.-

  • you gotta be kidding me!! Q boring?? Q-bert just stole the show only with scratching! I love Noize's style and originality, but there's no one who can make scratching so enjoyable like Q-Bert. He's in a league of his own. The super dopest scratcher that's out there for years and years.. and years to come... Peace to all the real dj's, juggling, mixing or scratching! ps: I think RocRaida(and he's really good, I have to say) stole his style from Cash Money (the routine he won his dmc edition with)

  • sorry, i didnt meen it...........

  • His style is flawless.

  • I think that Noize took down Cutmaster, with no probs :)

  • noize, as you can hear, in his set, didnt want to win that year, just play

  • Mary J blige - Be happy ( Bad Boy Record Remix )

  • what is the name of the last track??

  • GangStarr Speak Ya Clout its guru's verse

  • ITzChinCheezy brother hes playin big daddy kane aint know half steppin

  • ITzChinCheezy brother hes playin big daddy kane aint know half steppin

  • shit sorry bro the song is by jeru the damaja

the title is ya playin yaself

  • one of my fav djs of all time. a legend

  • What is the tune at 3:35, quality.

  • Group Home - Supa Star

  • This has got to be one of my favourite sets of all time. Sure other DJs can do more technically difficult routines but no one can touch Noize musically. Good tunes, original disses, quality scratching and beat juggling and just makes it look so easy. Have always wanted to know the beat at 1:10, please can soemone let me know.

  • i like how he does cash moneys scratch like cash money did back in the 1988

  • that song is "be happy" by mary j blige. i just dont know which remix it is.

  • what is the name of the track at 2:41???

  • does any one know the sample he used with the song that has the female voice?

  • dj noize has got the *FLAVA* in his routines.

    good musicality.

  • legend!

  • yeah ?!!always wanted to know the beat used @ 1:10

  • A-trak is slightly better to scratch but he doesnt have all the small details and hes too clumsy. He doesnt have a style, its not a good sound set, only scracthing, thats a bit wacked. Go Noize

  • whos beat at minute 1:10

  • who is the one holding the records for him ? hes butler ?

  • That would be the Legendary DJ Cash Money, not his butler

  • thanks, ahhhhh thats why he does the same scratch as cash money back in the 1988 :D

  • Loved this set bak in da day.. the Cash Money homage kills it!! BAADDD..

  • his scraatches made me want to be a dj...so sick

  • lol Qbert is in the background

  • this man has SCARY SKILLS... period.... this shit is CAVVYLICIOUS.

  • you know what i went back and checked it out and it wasnt dj david it was cash moneys's dmc routine my mistake but i didnt say he wasnt bad he just bite the begining of his routine. i give anyone props who goes in dmc but fact is fact

  • Nice set!!!
