i need help... i have this camera plugged into my computer with the usb cord, but the videos will not upload... it uploaded thumbnails of the videos to my laptop but i cant figure out why its not uploading the videos themselves... help..?

Yes there is.It is used by tapping on what you want to focus on. I just got the camera about an hour ago at BEST BUY for $279.99. I got a budle with a nice case, an 8gb memory card and a tripod for an additional $40. So far I like the camera alot more than I thought I would. I was going for the Sony CX-130...but it has no microphone jack. Fortunately this camcorder does! That was a big factor in buying it for sure.

what recording mode did you use? I bought the same camera and shot it in MXP mode at 60i and uploaded the video on YouTube, I clicked on 1080p and went to view it and it came out distorted, what should I do?

I just purchased this camera today, it shoots good video but the problem is it does not create video in mpeg format so we cannot copy it directly to our laptops and play. I had to install Canon's video browser software to get the video converted to mpeg and that takes a lot of time. I had a 15 mins video and the software took 10 mins to convert to mpeg.

Im thus going to return it today itself and buy a one from Sony, so this camera is a definite a NO-NO from my side.

nice video i have a canon vixia hf r20 to but i would like to know can you attach diffrent lenses to this camera because the on board microphone is right in the front so how will you be able to screw anything on i would also like to know if i can i change 1080p to 1080i or if this camera is already in 1080i thanks

@guitarmasta96 yes 1080i is interlaced. The difference between 1080i and 1080p isnt very noticeable

hey i have this camera and i was wondering if you could do a in detail tutoriol on it...all the vids i found just tells me what the buttons do...i want to know what the setting do in the camera menu...also i have been having problems with mine...sometimes when i record something thats moving with the camera sitting still on a tripod the edge of the screen moves around like in circles and i cant get it to stop...any answers?

@EducationalComedy I will do a tutorial or in-depth look as soon as I can. I'm in need of Abobe Premiere Pro. I don't know how I could help you with the camera when the edge of the screen moves but I guess you could try resetting to default camera settings. If that persists try contacting Canon

Well that 1 was 200 something...I actually have it but it's not super duper great. I was looking at this 1. I haven't tested out ALL OF THE MODES but I'm gonna later and c what u think. I found this 1 $319 @ AJRichard so I might get this and return the Fugi cuz on not TO impressed. There r some test vids so If u just type in Fugifilm s4000 some test videos will appear so u can c the quality:))

@TheGamingNuisance that's because of your computer. your computer has to be able to display HD video without lag (so you need a video card, more memory, etc). Also, waiting until the video is fully loaded helps too.
