I think you get the twist if you use circular needles and right before you join you straighten all your stitches then twist them how many ever times you want twists in the finished product. Not sure if that makes sense. :P

Yeah, I think that's how it's supposed to work. :) I've been knitting for a while, but it always takes me a few tries before my mind really grasps and remembers what I'm supposed to know about something new, lol.

I've Osteo-Arthritis and got a huge stack of those at my local DG. They don't carry them any more but they work great. Just dont get them wet or they get hotter.

your knitting looks great! I am almost through my skein... I made the mistake of twisting it when I joined it together :( I may have to just move that part in front or make two parallel stitches on my machine, cut it and stitch it right side out :(

The twist is nice when it's a short cowl but yeah, for the hood ones like we're making it's not a good thing.

That chunky yard is soooo hard to get straight before joining. I had to undo mine about 3 rows into it and untwist it. Arrgh!

Nice to see you again. I do not like it being hot in my apt. either and Solomon is very cold all the time. I have to sleep with a fan on and he is always cold even when it is hot in here. UGH! The boxes never end!!!! I woke up today to find my Mom running back and forth from her car to my living room bringing in MORE! I was up til dawn last night going thru things and talking myself into giving things away. It's slow going with a hoarder but I will NOT be owned by my possessions and I'm not going to haul this crap around for the rest of my life so... I'm still working on it!

We're headed to Mom's right now to get some lights and stuff. :D
