Beautiful images -- makes me want to go back! Last time I was there, I was carrying medium format and view camera equipment -- must be nearly 20 years ago, now.
Does the T2i actually shoot in that "Panavision" format, or did you crop it in post?
@tjh44961 Thank you! I cropped the footage to 2.35:1 in post. The T2i only shoots full 16x9 in-camera, so cropping has to be done in the editing room.
@damian1228 lol No, that's always been the title - I put it in there so that people searching for glidetrack examples would be more likely to find the vid. :-) Thank you! The T2i's a great camera!
To be honest, I am not a huge fan of Arizona. Even though I live down here in Vail. Just south of Tucson. But watching this made me appreciate it for what it really is... Another one of God's glorious creations...
Your home state is so beautiful. The Grand Canyon always reminds me how many millions and millions of years old the Earth really is, and just how specialized its organisms have become by adapting to this beautiful environment!

@odinata Yep, every shot in this vid was with the T2i. And I have to agree - AZ is very beautiful!
That's funny that that's what the Grand Canyon reminds you of - myself, I see it as an extraordinary reminder of God's creative power and evidence of the Genesis flood. Be sure to look out for our docu that we're working on about the Canyon - it offers a different view on the Canyon that is not normally taught.
@odinata Oh, sorry, misunderstood your question. Yes, every single shot was with the kit lens. Unfortunately, it's the only lens I own right now, but it's worked surprisingly well when there's plenty of light available.
Very well shot, stunning plce Arizona.. I satyed in Sedona the other year for 3 days... amazing place, wish I had my T1i with me then. Love the light when the 4-5 guys are walking away, glide track use looks good. Can I ask how you have found the T2i since owning it? Thank You Rick
@rickjbradbury Thanks Rick, I'm glad you enjoyed it! God definitely gets all the glory - He provided some amazing opportunities to get this footage. The T2i definitely has its shortcomings, but I love shooting with it nonetheless. Transitioning to DSLR video has been very rewarding for me - I love the shallow DOF and overall image quality. I'm really loving the cam!

damian1228 1 year ago
@damian1228 I used a glidetrack for those shots.
