If you were someone who was well educated and very stimulated in your experiences [socially, etc.] then the threshold where alzeihmers effects you is lower and so it takes longer for it to become clinically diagnosable. there are 3 categories to put people in- normal, mild cognitive impairment and alzeihmers. Alzeihmers effects people differently, in a cognitive sense. If you were someone who was well educated and very stimulated in your experiences [socially, etc.] then the threshold where alzeihmers effects you is lower and so it takes longer for it to become clinically diagnosable. there are 3 categories to put people in- normal, mild cognitive impairment and alzeihmers. Given his late age, it's not all that surprising he developed it.

Typical Republican. Ignorant of history and weak at math. Unemployment was 7.2% and falling when Ronald Reagan took office. Unemployment soared to 10.8% after two full years of Trickle Down Reaganomics. Fortunately, Volker and the Fed got inflation under control, Republicans lost control of the Senate in the mid term elections and the economy stabilized. He didn't "downsize" the federal government either.
Republicans are always trying to falsely spin Reagan as some kinda economic genius.

Revenue growth was lower under Reagan than under Nixon, Carter or Clintion. The federal government was smaller as a percentage of GDP under Clinton than it was under Reagan. Mllions more jobs were created under Clinton's economic program than under Reagan's.
And can we please stop pretending that Reagan's big giveaways to the defense contractors who paid for his campaigns had anything to do wit the fall of the USSR? Many experts were predicting the collapse before Reagan was even nominated.

(notice they weren't social program jobs!)The U.S. treasury brought in record revenues but the Democrats in congress spent it faster than the economy could make it. Spending requires that a bill pass both the House of Representatives AND the Senate as well as the signature of the president.
