By virtue of the fact that we almost NEVER see them, they must be intentionally trying to avoid us. I was following whole story of Reed, its pretty cool! some ppl say that the alien looks like a paper dummy but they must be blind, you can clearly see when he opens the aliens mouth its moving like there are some muscles,amazing, no paper dummy for sure :)

@iholdurfate22: I do not believe it was NORMALLY sensitive to light. It was the severe head trauma that it sustained that caused its abnormal sensitivity to light. In much the same way that migrain sufferers become sensitive to light.

@wishcard9 it wasn't dead ! it was alive and after it stood up by itself couple of days later Dr. Reed said that it was his favorite spot to be in . It will go in to the freezer by itself.

@wishcard9: I really wish folks would read the video descriptions. The creature was initially BELIEVED to be DEAD...not alive. He put it in the freezer to PRESERVE IT...because he thought it was dead. When it regained consciousness, and he realized it was alive, he opened the freezer and allowed it to get out. However, it climbed back in the freezer on its own. So it seemed to prefer the freezer...for whatever reason.

I'm not sure this one is real I think dr reed works for the government simply because I think I have encountered an alien but it looked more human still in a suit,big eyes for suit to send info,it never hurts me I saw it 2 years ago in my house watching me then it dissapeared 1 year later my sister saw it I think it protects my family or something no I dont think it abducts people because it only watchins for a few seconds and then leaves I hear a strange sound too.

@bigspliffs: This is another question that has been endlessly asked...alas...I will yet again answer it. He CLOBBERED it over the head with a tree branch. As a result, it had significant HEAD TRAUMA. It had SEVERE light sensitivity as a result of its injury. When he tried to turn the lights on the creature SCREAMED in agony. So trying to film it with the lights on didn't seem like a good idea.

Decisions become based on survival, raw instincts and sometimes what your are still CAPABLE of doing. I think considering the fact that the camera was MOVING simultaneous to the blinking, that it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that this was staged by some sort of stop-motion trickery. And, if you look closely, it isn't just the eyelids moving, the eye moves in the eye socket as well. The mechanism required to orchestrate all of those things would be more sophisticated than most Hollywood special effects studios would have been capable of in the 90's.

It was probably still alive, in the freezer if any nerve or feeling being in the freezer might have given it extreme pain.

It was probably paralized from injuries and in and out of consiousness as the previous eye blinking shows.

I don't know. I am not an expert or even an amateur in the classifications of non-human species. I don't really like to refer to them as aliens. No one that I know of has determined that these beings are actually from anywhere outside our planet. I do NOT believe they are travelers from another planet. I think they created us...for reasons we don't yet understand.

Yes, it is the creature that he accidentally came across in the forests of the Cascades east of Seattle. But, just to keep the story straight, he hit in in the head with a treebranch - not a shovel.
