...i asked myself the same question when i 1st saw it so i read the movies plotline to find this out myself before and it didnt say anything about them dying apart from that one earlier in the film...it just said his friends that he fought alongside with get severly injured

too bad, we cannot be sure about the ending. Nevertheless, it is a great movie showing on the one side the young and innocent people around Sang-ho, who just wanted to play football and have fun and on the other side the badly adults with all their negative characteristics that turn these innocent people into monsters, too.
So, did the friends of Sang-ho die at the end of this fight or not? After the fight two (or three?) are shown for a few seconds in the hospital. If they were killed all then it was the fault of Sang-ho, in my opinion. Why? I am saying that because during the fight he is watching them how they are going to be killed by the others instead of helping them...

And did anyone notice how Chang-bae (guy with broken leg) always got his ass kicked throughout the movie? as to break a guy's leg(how low can u get?) Jaegu gets hit by a car running away from TNT members which was an accident. although they themselves didn't kill him it was partially their fault. They take revenge which isn't the best choice cuz Sangho's friends r put into the hospital (one of them is possibly brain dead), 3 TNT members r dead & Sangho is in prison possibly for life cuz technically he did murder 3 ppl & taking revenge didn't bring jaegu back.
I felt bad for the group "Tiger". they form this club for soccer purposes but always seem to get bullied by other gang members for no reason. They r pretty much forced into fights becuz they aren't gonna sit still if punches r being thrown at them. It's not if they went looking 4 trouble..trouble found them. plus the girl's crazy ex-bf didn't want her being with anyone else..all of this may seem to be her fault but it isn't, he just couldn't take no for an answer not to mention he went as far..
this didnt really happened because of the girl. they felt intimidated by these new group of guys anyways who happened to be talking to a girl he didnt even want anymore.
i think the movie wud have been better if he got the letter bfore the shit went down and we learnt a fucking life lesson but then no sick fight scene i feel a deeper ending was sold for a more stylized melodramatic one

How could such a bad sequence of events start from just making a club called Tiger? It's like the butterfly effect, when a butterfly flaps its wings in the Amazon, and causes a tornado in China. They weren't bad boys. And yet, it's unfair what happened to them. This movie, in a word, "sucks". How could it make me love characters like Sang ho and the rest, and then kill them off. I know only one of them died. But all the others come to such bad endings, they might as well have been killed.

And did anyone notice how Chang-bae (guy with broken leg) always got his ass kicked throughout the movie? I never seen him lay one punch on a single person..lol...he gets punched & kicked in the beginning..he gets stripped down to his underwear in the middle of the movie and also gets beat up and gets his leg broken.

as to break a guy's leg(how low can u get?) Jaegu gets hit by a car running away from TNT members which was an accident. although they themselves didn't kill him it was partially their fault. They take revenge which isn't the best choice cuz Sangho's friends r put into the hospital (one of them is possibly brain dead), 3 TNT members r dead & Sangho is in prison possibly for life cuz technically he did murder 3 ppl & taking revenge didn't bring jaegu back.
Sad ending but an AWESOME movie!!!

I felt bad for the group "Tiger". they form this club for soccer purposes but always seem to get bullied by other gang members for no reason. They r pretty much forced into fights becuz they aren't gonna sit still if punches r being thrown at them. It's not if they went looking 4 trouble..trouble found them. plus the girl's crazy ex-bf didn't want her being with anyone else..all of this may seem to be her fault but it isn't, he just couldn't take no for an answer not to mention he went as far..

The whole fight at the end made me cry, seeing all of Sangho's friends almost killed made me sad and when he murdered teh memebers of TNT I also cried, very sad and gorey movie... Brilliant though, ablsolutey amazing movie, sad but brillant

How could such a bad sequence of events start from just making a club called Tiger? It's like the butterfly effect, when a butterfly flaps its wings in the Amazon, and causes a tornado in China. They weren't bad boys. And yet, it's unfair what happened to them. This movie, in a word, "sucks". How could it make me love characters like Sang ho and the rest, and then kill them off. I know only one of them died. But all the others come to such bad endings, they might as well have been killed.
