Really good performance. I'm glad they took the cut at :41. Most newer recordings don't take the cut in the last movement, and sometimes I prefer to hear the last movement with the cut.
congratulations for the posting of this magnificant symphony written in Dresde in 1907 by russian Rachmaninoff, and an applause to the orchestra and the guest director Miguel Prieto
Thank you for posting this ! I've just heard this symphony live two hours ago in Nancy (France) and it was so... I don't know how to explain what I felt... just thank you to remind it to me (and excuse my bad english).
Muchos gratias, senor, senora. The Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra should seriously consider coming to Malaysia to perform. We would certainly welcome this great ensemble to our tropical shores of South-East Asia. sd goh (malaysia)
This 4th movement is one of the greatest compositions for orchestra. The richness of its colour and texture is indescribable. This interpretation is one of majesty and excitement. I also heard on the radio another performance which is more subtle and patchy. Both are wonderful.

Those guys really need a new concert hall. They could play in a high school music room and it'd have better acoustics.

"Clearly Carlos Miguel Prieto is excited"
"He is the invited conductor of the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, who from Mexico has come to participate".
Dr. Bernard says: "He has a wonderful understanding with the orchestra ..."
