@Search4diabetescure Well designed ? what happens when it rains ? And just like USA Switzerland is only civilized thanks to nonrestrictive gun laws. Not sure if you were a victim of criminal elements or live in the hood but i can assure you that can happen to you in Switzerland. The only way to stop a crime - freely pass firearms to law abiding citizens.

So many benefits to building houses underground. I don't understand why more people don't do it. This even proves that you can have a house underground with a good visual presence on the outside. Though I would have extended the walls up outside rather than having a net.

In Coober Peedy (sp?) Australia the houses, the hotels, the stores and most of the structures are underground. It is awesome to witness! The reasoning there is for cooling 'cause the outside temps are often in the 40's

@jerrydff7 no i't not illegal to build underground. it may be a little more difficult depending on what part of the country you are in but a well built house can be burmed and lived in comfortably almost anywhere.
