  • Why worship anything?

  • You know what I can't take seriously? Talking snakes, a big sky daddy that cares about me but will send me to hell for not believing in him because he once wrote a book, a boat able to take 2 of every 'kind' of animal and seven of some. We have facts, you have a book.

  • @maskofsan1ty and we have Jesus, the single most influential person to have ever walked the earth... So I think it evens out matter of fact I'm pretty sure that fact alone tips the scale lol. Aethists always want to be the first to attack christianty but dnt have the balls to attack muslims lmao all aethists are, are Christians who are rebeling. You spend time studying the bible and know more then most believers just to bash it...sounds like closet belief in my opinion

  • @mewtwo34 That's debatable. It also doesn't make Christianity true. Studying the bible is what makes atheists because they realise the factual inaccuracies and bigotry that's in it. I'll attack Muslims. Allah was a kiddy fiddling cunt. How's that?

  • @maskofsan1ty i promise you like 90% of atheists on their death beds you'll start to wonder if all these years the very God you've been trying to disprove exists.Thats when the thoughts of doubt will enter your mind.As you slip away you'll come closer to the truth thats been known all along, that there is divine creator. or you'll just die and see pitch darkness forever. Which cotradicts atheists belifs of dieing and just not existing for all eternity, depressing.

  • @mewtwo34: You speak as if you have first hand experience of what death is like. How can you claim to know what happens when unbelievers die, that they'll see "pitch darkness forver"? And where did you get the 90% statistic about atheists on their death beads from?

You, like most religitards are so full of shit!

  • @noibn2 its all online, or are you not bright enough to use google

  • Comment removed

  • @noibn2 by the way your responding I can pretty much guess that at the core of your being u kno that everything that i said is true. When ppl hear the truth they respond with ignorance like you've demonstrated, before u attack christianity and all the wonderfull things God has done for your ungratefull ignorant self, you should get your life in order first and become somewhat credible sounding. God Bless you :)

  • Comment removed

  • @noibn2 How sad. :) anyway God bless you regardless. Atleast believing in God has given me the maturity and power of heart to not let your tainted, hell bound mind and speach deter me from what I believe in.

  • @mewtwo34: Well, good for you little trooper! You know, I'm glad your brainwashed christian little mind isn't deterred by the annoyance of logic, reason and facts - I really am. But really, trying to take on a patronizing posture doesn't quite suite a person of your intellectual "caliber". You're better off slapping the bible in the faces of people minding their own buisness, as it wouldn't make you look as silly...

  • @mewtwo34 Don't have the balls to attack muslims? Their religion is just as much bullshit as yours. Neither of you have can back up your claims. And all Abrahamic religions are violent. You could not be farther from the truth when you claim we are secretly christians. I spend time studying the Quran as well in order to disprove it, does that make me a closet muslim as well?

  • @californiarednek well yes actually, if u study a religious book it would imply some sense of belief in that topic. You dont hear about christians studying other books besides the bible, even Piper made a video about not studying other books

  • @mewtwo34 I wonder how many religions I believe in then? Well I have studied the Torah, the new testament, parts of the Koran, part of the Vedas, and I plan on studying the egyptian book of the dead. Huh... Or there is the more rational statement that I believe in none of them, and the fact that you study no other religions just shows you are closed minded.

  • @californiarednek its not about being vlosed minded, if we wanted to study those books we can but we choose not to because we know the bible is the only word of God so reading anything else would be a waste of time. And another thing stop trying to make ppl lose there faith, if u dnt believe in God then fine thats your problem but dnt make the ppl who do believe in a creator lifes miserable, thats why ppl strongly dislike atheists because they turn everything into debate

  • @mewtwo34 How do you know the bible is true word of God? How do you know that all the other religions are wrong? I was merely correcting you when you made an incredibly fallacious statement. It is hardly my fault that you where under the incredibly foolish notion that reading a religious text indicates belief.

  • @californiarednek lol you just proved my point what you just said is the exact reason why nobody respects atheists. They think they can deny the existense of God so they canno hate him. When in truth its the otherway around they know he exists that why they hate him. Rebelious believers. Cuz think about it if u didnt believe then why do always come back to the same Topic? "how do you kno he exists? How do you know the bible is true?"

  • @mewtwo34 Those are the same questions I ask of every religious person who makes a claim. It seems you do not understand who has the burden of proof. I am open to the idea of there being a God, and as soon as evidence is presented that proves there is a God, and which religion is correct about said god, I will become a member of that religion. Until them I am forced to take the intellectually honest route of nonbelief.

  • @mewtwo34 Although it seems amazingly arrogant of you to assume you know what I believe better than I do.

  • @californiarednek answer me this. Do you believe in the law of cause and affect? which states that something cannot come from nothing, and every affect must have a cause.

  • @mewtwo34 You must know that the argument you are using is one that only supports a deistic God? It in no way supports Christianity, or any other organized religion for that matter.

  • @californiarednek actually it does and I'll explain why. You cant argue that the universe is a constant because if u do that would defy the lawy of cause and effect meaning that we both believe in a supernatural force behind its creation. Plus you cant argue that the universe created itself that goes against the law as well, Plus u cnt argue the big band because you cant go back in time and observe it, and if u cnt observe that nd still believe in it wat makes God any different

  • @mewtwo34 Actually if you bothered to look into this argument you will find that there are physicists who argue that the universe can come from nothing, Lawrence Krauss is one of these. I will try to boil it down as much as I can. Matter is energy, because the total charge of the universe is 0 (positive and negative energy cancel each other) the universe could have come from nothing. And If you cant argue anything you haven't observed, how do you argue for creation?

  • @mewtwo34 And you have still not explained how, even if the universe needs a creator, it must be your creator. And why does the universe need a creator, but your god does not?

  • @californiarednek heres where I throw a monkey wrench into what u just said. All the "Gods" that people in the world believer in are just incarnations of the SAME God. Muslims and Christains believe in the same technically the only thing that makes christiantity different is that the fact that our belifs better illustrate him thanks to Jesus being God choosing to come to earth in human form, which later spawned the bible that we worship. So it is the same God who made the world

  • @mewtwo34 All of the Gods are just incarnations of your God. Where is your proof? What about the religions that are older than yours? What about all of the contradictory aspects of these different Gods? Your God must be schizophrenic.

  • @californiarednek I already answered that question Jesus is our proof, because he's God in human form and the man that christianity is built around. Now if u truly were a smart person you could see paralles between the God of the bible and the God of other religions I man in the bible God caused floods, a women to turn salt, death of the first borns, the plagues of Egypts. God is in no way schizophrenic his nature has never been a surprise to us.

  • @californiarednek He's a father that disciplines his children and also uplifts them. True christians view God as a father because much of what he does is based around that. All the terrible things he's done arent terrible but is just him showing disvipline just like your father would discipline you in order to teach you a lesson. But on that same token he's also also a loving father, someone who answers your prayers and is always ther to uplift you and guide you to glory

  • @mewtwo34 You have managed to side step the question of proof. But I will confront the absurdity of this claim as well. My father does love me, if he where to advocate damning me to an eternity of torture for a non-crime I would doubt his love. If he where to advocate stoning me to death for something trivial I would doubt his methods of discipline. The bible does not depict a loving God, the bible depicts a tyrannical, malicious pick. Granted that is not evidence against his existence.

  • @californiarednek your missing the point, when u read the bible you pick and choose what you want to argue with, what u seem to ignore is the the acts of love that he does in the bible and today, now thats what I call closed mindedness. Plus I already proved his existence with the law of cause and affect to which you haf no answer for, untill u can find a valid response to that law then you do believer in God according to your own logic.

  • @mewtwo34 I would say that you are the one who picks and chooses, I read all of it, including the nasty unjust bits that you seem to gloss over. And no you did not prove he existed with the law of cause and effect, I gave you an answer to that. Even if Lawrence Krauss and other physicists are wrong the default position is not "god did it" that is a nonanswer. So if someone is humble enough to accept the fact that he does not know something that does not make him a believer.

  • @mewtwo34 You seem unable to grasp that.

  • @californiarednek lol now look who's jumping around the question. You know that you cant come up with any valid reson to argue against the law of cause and affect so you choosing to act like a typical atheist and saying "well how do you know? wheres your proof? blah blah blah" I mean why argue with a christian about how you dnt believe in God thats like someone arguing about Santa all day when everyone knows he's make believe yet you choose to argue against God cuz u believe

  • @mewtwo34 Oh shame on me for wanting something as superfluous as proof. When someone makes a claim the burden of proof falls squarely on their shoulders. You are making a claim that God exists therefore you must provide the proof. Sorry. So you would have not try to show someone the error of their ways if they believed in Santa? That does not support your position at all. Also I am pointing out the grievous error of your ways because believe it or not I care. I find it very sad when someone

  • @californiarednek Atheism is just self validation, you dnt care. All you care about is proving to yourself that you dnt believe in God. If you truly didnt believe in God then you wouldnt be arguing over the interent over your beliefs on a christian video lol that makes no sense. Your happy not having a loving God watching over you, or having a place like heaven to call home. Your non belief is laughable because you closed your heart to him along time ago. But whatever.

  • @mewtwo34 Again your assumptions about me are incorrect. I just explained why I would argue with someone because I don't believe, and it makes sense. You seem to be unfamiliar with what atheism is, it is a lack of belief, it is not self validation. And because it is a lack of belief you are telling me that I am not an atheist, I think I would be the most informed person about my own beliefs. How comforting a belief is does not dictate it's truth.

  • @mewtwo34 If I was going to pick the coolest religion and the coolest God and the most comforting afterlife, it wouldn't be christianity, or yahweh or heaven. And my heart played no part in my atheism, it was that pesky thing you call a brain.

  • @californiarednek its sad but If your brain led you to thinking that way then your brain should be open enough to see the facts, atleast when I talk to atheists always take there side into account even tho ultimately I choose to continuring believing anyway because God has been proben scientifically on countless times. But u r so closed minded that if the argument doesnt end with the christian doubting there belief then you dind fault in it. Leave believers alone.

  • @mewtwo34 Ah and again I must correct you, I do have an open mind. I used to be a christian and because I had an open mind and I studied other religions, I see the absurdity. If God is proven then I would be happy to admit I was wrong. When has God been proven? More specifically: when has your God been proven? Does the religious community leave atheists alone? This one I can answer for you, NO. But wouldn't it be rude of me not to point out how ridiculous your claims are?

  • @californiarednek I highly recommend you watch the Dr. William Lane Craig (Christian) and Mr. Frank Zindler (atheist) debate If u still feel the same way after seeing it then comment again otherwise, theres no need for you to respond

  • @mewtwo34The one that is like 15 years old? Does this debate contain the evidence that god exists and that the god that exists is yahweh?

  • @californiarednek -_- its a debate dude lol both sides give good responses just watch it lol

  • @mewtwo34 I am watching it, and WLC has already showed a lack of understanding of atheism, agnosticism and the burden of proof. But I guess there is a possibility that WLC will show some great kernel of knowledge he has not brought up sense, so I will watch all 2 1/2 hours.

  • @mewtwo34 surrenders their reason to bronze age superstition. Also it is in my best interest to live in a rational and sane society. You may not know this, but I am also at peace with who I am, and being an atheist does not make me unhappy.

  • @californiarednek because to be honest if u didnt believe then you wouldnt be making comments on a chrstian video, to this random chrstian stranger. If u truly dnt believer then shut up and let us believer in peace, if it turns out that he's not real then o well thats on us but its how we choose to live our lives, dnt attack us just because your a lost sheep looking for your way home. Atleast we're at peace with our selfs and our place in the universe.

  • @mewtwo34 But onto the question of his existence, you must provide proof.

  • @mewtwo34 And the Tao te ching, and I am certainly no Taoist.

  • I'm destined for hell and you talk about the Gospel and drinking from a well? Is that all you've got. If you and your fellow followers are genuine you're not us enough to pull ourselves from the flames of hell. Our rejection of your religion is clear evidence of your feeble attempts.

How much fun will heaven be knowing you didn't try hard enough and your god created me to burn in hell from the start? Educate yourself. It can't hurt.

  • you are lying to yourself, there has to be a conflict! neither gives absolute authority to anything in your life, except to guide it, by faith both, in a selfish path or in a selfless path. You just blame GOD for everything don't you, how did God portray the World before sin? symbolically in the Garden of Eden? He gave us rule over the earth, and our sin corrupted it, and that sin took on life(Satan), and Jesus plainly taught us that sins have consequences in the Cross!

  • @Leehamism he made us, and he knows where we will end up, but he gave us the choice, to choose the path, and told us the truth in the Gospel, so that no one is excused! offenses are much needed in this world. God knows what you are destined for but you don't, you go where you please ok? your rejection of Christianity is clear evidence for the love you have for this Earth, and pride, which is meaningless. Time takes everything away, everything that is not of GOD.

  • @Leehamism Tell me which is better? to be good in a world that's bad? To be born bad and become good? To know true joy because of suffering? To know true goodness because of evil? To Love amongst hate? or ALL vice-versa. This why GOD made you, to separate you from the nations right NOW and mold you for the sake of HIS name into a being that is all good in spite of a world that was all bad, and when you remember what your life in Earth was, you are to know that you are in paradise.

  • No conflict here. Just wanted to hear your answers and I'm hearing you loud and clear. The very very tiny part of me that says this might be true will leave the rest of me disheartened at the realisation of such an unfulfilling, cheap existence and disgusted that such a hideous revolting god exists. I'd rather rot in hell.

If your god exists he has not brought me here for bigger things. His motives for my existence would appear to be rather puerile and clearly not the motives of a loving being.

  • Does John Piper lie to the audience when he says he has tried to take it(SCIENCE) seriously? There is plenty of evidence to suggests he is being dishonest.

He might be able to look at the mountains of scientific data and still decide it is not enough to sway him from his original beliefs, but to say it is laughable is dishonest or extremely ignorant. Or is it a combination of both?...."god only knows!"

The "war" was won a long time ago, but people like John are still fighting.

  • evolution is proven.. i don't get how someone can refute that, just because an idiot doesn't understand evolution doesn't make it not true.

  • LOL soo funny!

  • Brilliant.

  • Atheism: the belief in a spontaneous, causeless, sourceless, purposeless, meaningless existence

    Makes perfect sense.

  • The speaker appears to be a moron -_____-

  • @PinkProgram No, he's just a deluded, bigoted, slave to his imaginary god.

check out what he says on one of his other videos.

  • Hold on, didn't "God's story" say that the sun revolved around the earth. Good thing he created us to help him patch it up :)

  • 1/2 @kornflowerblue I think you should consider this:

It doesn't say that in the Bible. What people do who want to discredit the Bible is neglect to take figures of speech for what they are and falsely claim that the Bible teaches what you are asking about.

It's like if I claimed that the weatherman on the news was saying that the sun revolved around the earth because he gave the times that the sun "rose" and "set".

  • 2/2 @kornflowerblue

We know that he means that from the earth it appears as if the sun is going around the earth not that it actually does do that. It's the same with passages that say similar things in the Bible.

  • @kornflowerblue What the Bible does say about the earth, and this was written when the Hindus were claiming that it rested on the back of a giant turtle and before the Greeks were claiming that it rested on the shoulders of the giant Atlas is this:

Job 26:7 He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing.

  • you can't take it serious because your brain just ain't there buddy ;) I found it funny though. Fun to see the religious point of view on the comic front.

From a "satanic evil atheist douche" :)

  • Nice Straw man. Videos like this only reaffirm my atheism.

  • @lemonheadpupu The most important part you said in your comment is:

    "Pass around the Collection plate."

    It's what it's all about.

  • I've finally come to the conclusion that John Piper really fulfills the the bible injunction in Matt. 8:3:

"And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."

His knowledge of Evolution is that of a 4yr old.

    Atheists follow:

1 Cor: 13:11: "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."

Religion is one of those things.

  • jp is crazy..

  • People who believe in evolution are blasphemous? Wow, I guess I'm lucky blasphemy is a victimless crime.

  • @QuintessentialCraker Thats Because Blaspheme is a crime against God who is above all things.. So unless repentence takes stem from the root of conviction to the true meaning of life in your soul.. you have to face wrath instead of peace.

  • @JLITE08 What are you talking about? Your comment is an incoherent mess that doesn't address at all what I was stating. I was questioning how belief in evolution could possibly be a "crime against God," and I was further asserting that blasphemy is a victimless crime because there is no God. Evolution is reality.

  • i fucked jesus in the ass last night, he willed me to believe he was a girl! Lets just say he took a holy shit the next morning!

  • Arrogance Fukk

  • Love this guy. He just paints god as the single biggest dick in the universe, which is, apparently, built only for his self-glorification. Makes sense, probably god was needing some porn, and since there wasn't any, he just created a universe with some.

  • Logical gap: he can laugh at this spider being explained by evolution, but his belief is that that spider is perfectly designed by God. So if he thinks that the spider is stupid, which he seems to, then he is implying that God is stupid for creating it...

  • @sirusvilla He is not at all thinking that the spider is stupid, he is just amazed at the intricate working of the spider and the plant, the amazement leading him to quite a contrary place than your conclusion, namely that God is therefore amazing

  • Morons laughing at science but I bet when they're sick they don't laugh at science then, I bet they love science like never before.

  • arrogance is product of ignorance, and MOST atheist are full of it, they don't understand the supremacy of God that makes everything that stephen hawking has ever dreamed of look like a first grade reader. you should be humble because there IS a GOD that has your life in his fingerTIP, being so forgiving, people think christian life is easy hahah, but listen to this guy, and you'll learn more from the BIBLE than from any quantum physics book,

  • @xelGuATAgAtO love your comment!

  • @xelGuATAgAtO Quote: "arrogance is product of ignorance, and MOST atheist are full of it,"

and Claiming absolute supremacy for a supernnatural deity is not the height of arrogance?

There is nothing you can learn from the bible other than the invented myths and legends of bronze age peasants.

The bible is no more true than Homers Odyssey or Harry potter.

  • @Darwinsman hah my dude, it's not arrogance but the humbling truth, humbling to every creation because we were created and did not create ourselves and glorifying him that made us and everything else, "being wise in their own eyes they have become fools", just by you saying that of the bible is clear that you haven't read it and Don't have the ability to understand it, not because you are stupid but because you reject God in your pride and guilt ;( pride leads to nothing bruh only to blindness.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO Of course we did not create ourselves, no scientist has ever claimed that. You are making a strawman argument.

We are the result of billions of years of evolution, dictated, primarily, by our changing environment.

As for my knowledge of the bible. I was brought up on it and have continued to study it and biblical history for the last 60 yrs. I have 3 Bibles, 2 New Testaments, A Qur'an and a number of Buddhist and Hindu texts.

That is why I'm an atheist, although, I prefer Humanist.

  • @Darwinsman bruh billions of years? these are seconds in eternity, we have to deal with the imponderable reality which we live in, that God, Jesus Christ, never had a beginning, he has always been. when you root it down God has always been, not evolution. The Bible can't lie, misinterpretations do, the Bible is the word of God, it can't be boring either, but you have to want to understand the Bible to know God not to contradict it, that way you will have life. You were not born to die. Go to him

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 1/2. I'm sorry, but for anyone to say that the bible is totally accurate only proves that they are not capable of examining it with any sort of objectivity.

You use the creationist method of research, which starts with a pre-determined conclusion then looks for evidence to prove that conclusion, dismissing out of hand anything which challenges that it.

I use the scientific method, which looks for facts then uses those facts to come to a conclusion, what ever it is. Cont'd.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 2/2. I make no judgement on the mystical side of the bible, other than to say that I can't find any evidence to support it.

However, quite apart from the many contradictions in the bible itself, there is a mass of proven, physical, historical evidence that directly conflicts with most of the major events in the bible.

Surely, if this were the true, infallible word of an omniscient god, there would not be so many obvious contradictions with itself and with the physical evidence.

  • @Darwinsman The devil "rules" this world, we let him, don't you think there will be a battle of faith to get to God? Satan fights, materialism is the devil's work to lead to faithlessness, and entertainment is the joy of the devil, live a comfortable life to lose it. you fight to reject God because you either don't want to accept that everything you have is because of God and owe it to him, or don't want to live the way he has set for you in the Bible through the perfect example of Jesus Christ

  • @Darwinsman NO atheist, no not one, wants a God to exist. The guilt is the devil's work. yeah he exists, you can't see everything that exist but unseen things DO exist. Don't feel guilty bro, God said it. No not one is righteous, not one, for we ALL have sinned. The narrow gate is a hard life, but what is life but a vapor, when the day comes ill assure you everyone will wish they would have prayed more, wept more, and loved more. If God converts you, which he will, you will not want to go back:)

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 1/6. Quote: "NO atheist, no not one, wants a God to exist."

I obviously can't speak for every atheist, but personally speaking, I'll believe in anything, just as long as there's verifiable proof to back it up. There's no proof for god and so far you haven't even tried to provide any and until there is some, I see no valid reason to waste my life grovelling in subservience to some imaginary figure, who’s existence can’t be established, other than by pure Blind faith. Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 2/6. I actually feel sorry for Christians.

They're so afraid of the prospect of losing eternal life, they grasp at anything, no matter how tenuous, to buttress their faith.

With each new scientific discovery, their "god" created world shrinks ever smaller, and their desperation grows as they're forced into a corner they see no way out of, other than that of total blinkered denial of everything that conficts with their fantasies. Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 3/6. If you’ve any real evidence and not just platitudes and theological clichés, I’ll be happy to examine it. Until then, If you want to debase yourself and undermine your credibility as a thinking human being, that’s up to you, but don’t expect me to join you in your self imposed slavish mental prostration.

    Just saying:

Quote: "yeah he exists, you can't see everything that exist but unseen things DO exist. Don't feel guilty bro, God said it."

    Doesn't make it so. Cont’d.

  • Comment removed

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 4/6. “Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.” - Steven Weinberg

    As for unseen things existing.

    Delos B. McKown said:

“The invisible and the non-existent look very much alike.”

The only way to tell them apart is with evidence, so I ask again. Where is yours?

you don't have any. Platitudes is all you've got Cont'd.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 5/6. Quote: "you fight to reject God because you either don't want to accept that everything you have is because of God and owe it to him,”

Most of the good things in my life happened after I stopped believing in god, and my life continues to get better every day.

Quote: “or don't want to live the way he has set for you in the Bible through the perfect example of Jesus Christ"

If he existed, is this the same Jesus who supported slavery? Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 6/6. Quote: “The devil "rules" this world”

If the devil is ruling my life then he is forcing me to live a life where I have never knowingly broken any law, not even speeding when driving and most of my time is spent working as a volunteer for a major world charity that helps save the lives of children from poverty and disease. If this is sinful and the work of the devil, then, I’m sorry, but I’m going to continue doing it as long as I can.

  • @Darwinsman I quoted it in the sense that the world is wrapped in sin, why do you think that not ONE person is without sin? even the most selfless acts can have the most selfish intentions, were not gonna be judged of what we did, but WHY we did it! Your time is lent to you, this is why devotion to God, and not to one's self is so important. The foolish compare themselves to their neighbors, to what they do, how and why? Put Jesus on the other side of the scale. no excuses bruh just go to him.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO Quote: "why do you think that not ONE person is without sin?"

Sin is a purely religious concept which literally means transgressing the "moral" rule of a deity. It has nothing to do with whether that moral code is just or not, or whether or not it complies with the laws of any society, therefore it can and should be ignored.

This is especially true of the bible whose "moral" code is nothing more than bigoted prejudices of a primitive society and is solely designed for mind control.

  • @Darwinsman Yo keep trying to explain everything to know everything life is like a vapor you try to get a hold of it and it vanishes, just like that man time is flying i just wanted you to be saved, but some people are just to earth bound self centered. read : Romans 20-25. ignored grace is added wrath, so i really want you to step into the light, even if not for your salvation by faith's sake... for the sake of your "moral values" just give the bible a chance i'm out my brother no more messages

  • @xelGuATAgAtO I expected that. all you christians eventually run away.

You used the term vapour. That's a very good analogy of god. God is imaginary, ethereal, non-existant.

All you ever do is pointlessly quote the bible to try and prove him. That has as much validity as quoting Harry Potter to prove wizards are true. Both books were written by ordinary humans.

The difference is that J K Rowling is better educated that the bible authors, so that should give her greater credibilty, shouldn't it?

  • @Darwinsman hah it's like trying to explain color to a blind man, but when he sees for the first time, it's beautiful, breathtaking, everything he thought was, is not but is even better than he thought, vapor is the analogy of material, flesh, the analogy for God would be the universe, energy, no beginning no end. my IQ is 141 people don't believe in God just because they are stupid, just because they don't understand the theories man made about how we came, i thought that about the Bible prior

  • @Darwinsman prior to reading it, and prior to conversion, the fact is when you read it, you realize it is not man speaking, but God, This book was not made by men, but God. Read the revelation of the Bible, things einstein wrote we do understand, but the Bible still today has many mysteries, from 11 men to 3 billion christians, to the most read book of the world thank God. I've learned more from the Bible these past 7 months than i've ever learned all my life. You just credit man for everything.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO

Wait, let me get this straight, you think that reading the bible will reveal god's authorship? I've read the book 3 times and each time it looked more and more comical in its errors, it's backwards morality, and its overall dumbness.

  • @AtheistExplains Because you want to contradict it, You don't want God haha you want men, no errors bruh just misinterpretations, you interpret what your mind wants you too, not necessarily what is true heh. You don't want to believe it. But that is up to you, no one can prove you otherwise, nevertheless guilt you to religion, no such thing. so if you are still in doubt about reality, or if you just want to argue haha. that's the problem>>God Blesss!

  • @xelGuATAgAtO

Are you drunk? Reread what you wrote.

I have a very open mind and when I read something I read what is there, realizing the meta-novel context and the influences that impacted the author. Your bible looks like any other book of fiction that tries to impose morality upon the real world, except this book of morality is far from being moral. I don't want the god prescribed in this book or the men that wrote it, I wish the whole system of Christian theology would go away.

  • @AtheistExplains haha you said it yourself, no atheist want's the living God to exist. isn't that a coincidence? none. you are creation, do you ask for more of a God than what the Bible says He is? Thats selfishness, that's what leads to most atheism. God can be whatever he wants to, he can do whatever also. Thanks God he's like he is. If you don't want it, you wont believe it, and God won't give it. You can have an open mind, but in what sense? learn why you think that way and your motives>>>1

  • @xelGuATAgAtO

It's obvious you lack the intelligence it takes to carry on a conversation with me.

  • @AtheistExplains I would never attack your intelligence. Religious belief has less to do with intelligence, rather than level and quality of education.

It is no coincidence that the most religious countries in the world are the ones with the lowest level of general education.

You, however, constantly fall back on platitudes and cliches rather than give reasoned arguments.

Is that displaying a good use of your intelligence?

  • @AtheistExplains my dude it's obvious you reason your way back to the start. Your need to show that you feel "superior" in intelligence is brought out by insecurity you don't need to say that hah. it's obvious you have not brainstormed enough your motives for being an atheist, and the word of God in the Bible. it's obvious you label people. Why do you need prove of anything? Because you love the easy way and hate the narrow way>>God Blesss my dude.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO

I know that you think you are clever, but your sentences make no god damn sense. You fail at communicating. You type but only gibberish comes out, the kind that requires a translator.

You also fail at logic. I don't label people, I'm talking specifically about you. You're the one who refers to the problems with atheists. My lack of god, you are the stupidest piece of trash out there. Read a book or two about grammar and logic. You fail mightily in both regards.

  • @AtheistExplains Let me Teach you. Reread everything i've told you my friend. Logical statements in christianity are based on your perspective. A lot of things that were illogical to me prior to conversion are logical now. They make no sense to you because you don't want them to. hah simple, if you wanted to open your mind to God you would understand the root of what my statements are trying to say. But you are not rationalizing just negating. You switched from one defense mechanism to an other

  • @AtheistExplains oh my bro and i'm talking about what i said to Darwinisman too///

  • @xelGuATAgAtO Whether you believe it or not, the bible is provably nothing more than the superstitious ramblings of bronze age peasants, desperately trying to make sense of their scary world. A world of which they had less understanding than a modern day 11yr old child.

Modern archaeology and historical research has long since proved with hard physical evidence that most of the major events in the bible are just myths with no basis in historical fact.

Your blind denial doesn't change that.

  • @Darwinsman yes you are so superior, oh my god what am i but a spec of dust living to glorify and magnify your name by your grace, you know so much about life that you don't even know where we came from, why we are here, and have no control of when you will die. Man is to be glorified and God to be so marginal hah, the time will come, it is inevitable, you are under the law of God because you heard his word. I hope something happens to you, whatever that will change your way of thinking>God Bles

  • @xelGuATAgAtO Actually, I am not superior at all. In fact, like all of us, I am no more special in the great scheme of things than any other animal on earth, except to my friends and family..

It is christians who claim superiority. They claim to be made in gods image, making them the peak of creation, and have been given dominion over the all the animals. Whereas, atheists know, because the testable evidence tell us, that we're just intelligent animals.

That sounds more like a position

  • @Darwinsman so im arrogant for saying that i believe the word of God is the measure of how live should function but you are not arrogant for believing that your own brain is the standard?! and the on top of that you have to believe that you think this culture at this time is the apex of human existence, making men center? i can't help you if you can't help yourself, but examine yourself, what makes you stubborn towards God? submitting to him? his laws? his mysteries? his wrath? his love? im out>

  • @xelGuATAgAtO How can I be stubborn to something that does not exist.

there's a quote from stephen Roberts that is very appropriate here.

“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”

  • @Darwinsman hah everyone who is "intelligent" in his own eyes is a fool. What God? he believes in a God that is not Sovereign making himself more superior in comparison. all the other possible Gods? is he saying that there could be more than one God just because God does not control everything?! There can only be one God, one creator, of all things, you could believe in different aspects or "personalities" of God but there is only one. >>God Blesss!<<

  • @xelGuATAgAtO I've seen some mental gymnastics of interpretation and rationalisation on You-tube, but that beats the lot.

You're really nothing more than a mental slave, so terrified of offending your magical god, you've lost all capabilty of reasoning and now live in a grovelling submissive state.

But at least you're admitting that you're not intelligent, which gives you an excuse, I suppose.

But what a strange gift to give to the god who supposedly gave you the power to think. Not to use it.

  • @Darwinsman Aren't you learning anything?! Not magical, omnipotent, yes and we should ALL fear him, also love him and I live by faith in him, nothing else to fear to glorify his great name. Slaves do things unwillingly otherwise they wouldn't be slaves right? Whatever you do with your gifts is up to you and your selflessness or selfishness. wow clearly you have no open mind, change the subject, or just block it out, i'm not talking to you to argue but to teach you. Glory to God

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 1/4. Your Naivety and Obsequious subservience to a figment of a primitive, superstitious imagination is embarrassing, but that you are proud of the fact that you are willing to debase yourself, that’s what makes it so sad.

A willing person who clamours for slavery is the most embarrassing creature of all.

At last you admit that your driving force is a fear of god. In saying that, you have just defined the main foundation for Christianity. A mind-numbing fear of death. Cont'd.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 2/4. Christianity is just a hidey-hole for the morally fearful, afraid of death.

Putting your faith and life into the hands of an imaginary celestial protector is the ultimate cop-out from taking any responsibility for your own life.

It's the ultimate security blanket. All you have to do is find a nice dark corner of your life, pull the blanket around you, shut your eyes, stick your thumb in your mouth and cry to daddy to make all the nasty things go away. Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 3/4. I really feel a great sorrow for Christians.

Cont’d

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 4/4. As for omnipotence. There is a very wise quote by The great Ancient Greek Philosopher, Epicurus:

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.

Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.

Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?

Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"

    Why indeed.

  • @Darwinsman (1/2)we are radical, we are humble, God is our strength not our flesh, christians weaklings? maybe some, but then they wouldn't be real christians would they? Which are weaker, those who fight against the world or those who go with the flow? Those who humbly ignore the attacks of pride people, patiently, or those who lash out to prove themselves? Apostle Paul, Blessed man of the Lord. Read about him...i dare you call him weak. Jesus Christ! read about him!! i dare you call him weak.-

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 1/2 Quote: "Apostle Paul, Blessed man of the Lord. Read about him...i dare you call him weak"

No, I call him a self righteous control freak. If you read about the early history of christianity, you'll see that Paul sidelined the disciples and moulded the early church into his own idea of what it should be.

Quote: "Jesus Christ! read about him!! i dare you call him weak."

If he existed at all, and there's no conclusive proof of that, he was nothing more than an ordinary man. Cont'd.

  • @Darwinsman Paul was guided by the Holy spirit that's why his teachings never contradicted Jesus Christ's teachings. And Jesus Christ ordinary man? hah who are you comparing him to bro? His birth is the base of our calendar, his life is the base of Christianity, Apart from all the things that he did, he suffered, and his teachings! He is salvation to everlasting life. Why do you ask proof of everything? It's because of your love for earthly pleasures, pride, and injustice. Cont'd>>>>>

  • @Darwinsman Wise quote? hah What is freedom of will then? what would difference us from animals if we didn't have the capacity to choose good and evil. We have a choice! either good or bad! no middle grounds. That's what being fruitful is about. That is what Glorifying God is about, that with freedom of action we would choose Him! over all of earth's lust! over our nature! over the easy way! And those who give fruit are honored for his glory and those who don't are condemned for his glory amen.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 2/2 Quote: "hah What is freedom of will then?"

Only secularist atheism gives you true freedom of will, within certain boundaries. Religious freedom of will is a myth that only religious people believe is true.

Nearly all laws protecting the rights of the individual have come from secular legislation. Whenever religion has been given carte blanche in framing laws, it has always resulted in tyranny and suppression, which is the real religious idea of freedom of will.

  • @Darwinsman if you would love love, justice, humility, selflessness, i bet you would be inclined to the Lord's soveirgnity and not to "mans" hah. Freedom of will is one or the other. Hot or Cold, no lukewarm. So are you telling me there is no such thing? hah everyday we get closer to one or the other. Do you think the Bible was based on the nature men, or the nature of men on the Bible. Because if our nature is chaotic then i would say that we would be seeing mayor changes in our Cont'd>>>

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 1/6. Quote: "Paul was guided by the Holy spirit that's why his teachings never contradicted Jesus Christ's teachings."

Paul was guided by his own ideas of what Christianity should be. Check real history and not just the bible stories. You'll find Paul, aided partly by Peter, John and James, effectively sidelined the other disciples, to the point where the Christian church today, owes its existence primarily to The Roman Emperor Constantine I, aided by Paul. Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 2/6. If it hadn’t been for the pushing of the faith by Paul onto the gentiles, Christianity would never have got to the attention of Constantine, who saw the flexibility of Christianity as a perfect way to unite his empire. Without the “sponsorship” of Rome, Christianity would never have grown into the world religion it is and would have remained a minor Judeo/Christian sect. This is seen today in the small middle-eastern Christian sects, which didn’t go along with Rome. Cont'd.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 3/6. Christianity has always been a pragmatic and flexible religion.

Quote: “His birth is the base of our calendar,”

Well, if that’s so, then we should now be in the year 2004 or 2017, depending on which gospel you believe. As for his actual date of birth. (25th December) That was appropriated from the pagan winter solstice and the Christian holy day was changed from Saturday to Sunday in 321 CE by order of Constantine to merge with the holy day of Pagan Sun worshippers. Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 4/6. Quote: “his life is the base of Christianity,”

It may well be, and I will accept there might have been a preacher around that time called Jesus, (it was a common name after all,) but there is no evidence of his life other than in the bible, or writings derived from the bible.

Not a single writer who lived during his lifetime even mention him in passing and all the bible stories about him were written down long after his death, by people who never actually met him. Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 5/6. Quote: "And Jesus Christ ordinary man? hah who are you comparing him to bro?"

Comparing him with a number of "Messiahs" who were around at the same time. Even the bible itself negates the possibility of the nativity and as for the Arrest, Trial and crucifixion, there is nothing in any roman record regarding them.

So, if his life is the base of Christianity, then Christianity it is built on nothing more than myths and stories, which have no independent verification. Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 6/6. Quote: “Why do you ask proof of everything? It's because of your love for earthly pleasures, pride, and injustice.”

That is a typical cop-out remark from christians who cannot accept that Atheists can be, and often are, more moral and ethical that christians.

I ask for proof because Christians make extraordinary claims for their religion, yet they offer no evidence whatsoever, but expect everbody to accept it.

    Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof.

  • @Darwinsman A cop-out? what makes it a cop-out? is it not true? someone who lives a godly life, will not love the Earth, because it is beyond corrupted, because people think God was made for them, and leave it so marginal. Is it not an extraordinary claim that none of us don't know where we came from? or is it not extraordinary that we have no power over life, and over the universe that overshadows us, but only to that which was give to us. Cont'd>>>>>>>>

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 1/2. Quote: "what would difference us from animals if we didn't have the capacity to choose good and evil. We have a choice! either good or bad! no middle grounds."

Of course there is a middle ground. It’s having to such choices, which make human life complicated.

    I'll give you a scenario:

You're controlling an elevator, which moves people in a museum from the ground floor, (where, at present, there is only 1 person), to the 2nd floor, (where there are 5 people.) Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 2/2. A totally new person enters the elevator on the ground floor. You move the elevator to the second floor. As the doors open and before he steps out of the elevator, he produces a gun and proceeds to fire at the 5 people on that floor.

You witness all this on the CCTV monitors. You have control of the Elevator and you have "freedom of will." What do you do?

N.B. Praying to god is not only useless, it is not an option in this case.

  • @Darwinsman Is it not extraordinary that we claim we are the apex of intelligence and of free will, that we don't control life, but yet it was give to us, by matter hah, by a big bang, which two infinitely small odds would meet just to make us! and then just we be as we are, and life for ourselves because everything was obviously made for us, because it is so perfect, that we haven't found another place alike, and yet it is extraordinary that a God exists and someone was the cause of us Cont'd>>

  • @Darwinsman What is extraordinary is that the fact that something exists now in the world just means that there had to be an eternal existence, God has no beginning nor end. always been, the fact that we are Creation means that someone not something created us. Otherwise "no causer no effecter" Can lifeless Matter create life? Matter is not eternal, it wouldn't exist today if someone wouldn't sustain it, it had to have a beginning and can have an end. life also. My friend Cont'd>>

  • @xelGuATAgAtO There will always be ways to contradict the Bible, and there will always be misinterpretations, and there will NEVER be absolute proof of either, because the glory that comes by faith will be canceled out. So it stands to reason that you can look to either way, being logical, if there is such a thing between these perspectives, it depends all where your heart is, towards what are you headed towards that you will be headed, till you flip on 180 no one will make you wrong Cont'd>>

  • @xelGuATAgAtO unless you are not completely sure about what has been given to you, so brother it is up to you, God is God who are we to ask more of God, whatever the problem is that rationalization occurs that is the issue but where is the goal? I'm telling you that God has given me the intelligence to doubt , to choose what i understand instead of what i can't understand, but it all stands on my view, not intelligence, because i choose God and glorify HIM and deny myself,God bless you, seek him

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 1/10. I’ve read your last comments and I will try to answer what I can from between all the hackneyed clichés and mantras that permeate it from beginning to end.

Quote: “someone who lives a godly life, will not love the Earth, because it is beyond corrupted,”

I can assure you that I do love the earth, in spite of it being a very imperfect place. Most of which is unsuitable for human habitation. If God created it for the benefit of humans, then he didn’t do a very good job. Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 2/10. Likewise, if we are supposed to be the pinnacle of his creation, He botched that as well.

If we were created in the image of god, (as the bible says), then even from a purely physical aspect, God must be a mess. Most of our fellow mammals are much better designed than we are. Faster, stronger, more reproductive. If god was a first year engineering sudent and he presented humans as his year project. He would be failed by any objective marking standard. Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 3/10. It’s only our brains that set us apart from other animals, and they eveolved as a survival mechanism purely because we were so weak and needed some advantage to survive.

Quote: “Is it not an extraordinary claim that none of us don't know where we came from?”

No. It is only extraordinary to those who wear the blinkers of religion.

We evolved from earlier animals going back around 3.5 Billion years to an original cell from which all life evolved. Cont'd.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 4/10. Quote: “Is it not extraordinary that we claim we are the apex of intelligence and of free will, that we don't control life, but yet it was give to us, by matter hah, by a big bang, which two infinitely small odds would meet just to make us!”

You have no idea how Evolution by natural selection works. Science now is very close to, not only finding how the first primitive cell capable of reproducing itself formed from inorganic chemicals, but actually recreating it. Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 5/10. Quote: “everything was obviously made for us, because it is so perfect,”

That would be santimonious, egotistical arrogance if it were true, but it’s not.

The world was not made perfect for us. In fact most of it is still hostile to us. All of it was hostile to all life for the first billion years of its esixtence. We are here solely because the earth changed and life was able to get started and we are lucky to have got as far as we have. Cont’d

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 6/10. It has been estimated that 98-99% of all life that has ever lived on the earth is now extinct and it has nothing to do with any mythical flood, for which there is no evidence.

We are here solely by Natural selection and Evolution by Natural selection works. It is extremely wasteful, but life, once it has got a hold, is very tenacious.

If suddenly most species were wiped off the earth, any remaining life that could adapt would start the process all over again. Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 7/10. Quote: “There will always be ways to contradict the Bible, and there will always be misinterpretations, and there will NEVER be absolute proof of either, because the glory that comes by faith will be canceled out.”

It has nothing to do with “misinterpretations.” It has everything to do with the fact that, backed up with solid, testable evidence, the bible is nothing more than a collection of myths and legends with no more validity than the ancient greek myths. Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 8/10. The isn’t even accurate as a simple historical document. Most of the cornerstone events in the bible, such as the Genesis, The Exodus, The flood, The Nativity, etc., have now been proved to have been nothing more than stories.

Even the Bible itself proves that the Nativity could never have happened.

When it comes down to it, all that Christians have to back up their beliefs is pure blind faith. A faith that flies in the face of all the evidence. Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 9/10. Even a high school student knows one cannot write an effective thesis based on a singular source of knowledge or wisdom. But that’s what religions like Christianity expect and base all their actions and thoughts on one source to live their lives!!!

Total disregard for other sources of wisdom arising from alternative philosphical and scientific treatises is to their peril, if they seek understanding about the universe, from the perspective of energy, not brainwashing. Cont’d.

  • @xelGuATAgAtO 10/10. I feel a certain amount of pity for Christians.

They're so petrified of the prospect of losing eternal life, they shut their ears to any facts and grasp at anything, no matter how tenuous, to buttress their faith.

With each new scientific discovery, their "god" created world shrinks ever smaller, and their desperation grows as they're forced into a corner they see no way out of, other than that of total blinkered denial of everything that conficts with their fantasies.

  • @Darwinsman my friend if you believe that there is no God, then that just shows how closed minded you are to evidence because there is not such thing as being open minded towards evidence, Fear death? death is dead my friend, and trust me i would give my live up for Jesus if tribulation were to come. You are still a believer, you just believe in science and in men, cause science has laws, but none of them made matter, more importantly life. and laws just made themselves? then why do you deny God

  • @Darwinsman so my friend you feel pity for me i feel pity for you, what does that tell you? no logic, just two different perspectives in life, which is the absolute truth? i guess well find out when we die, but there is not a hint of doubt in my heart, because i've felt God, my life was changed in miraculous proportions, we all are called, we all ask ourselves, we all are wired to think about God, how weird, the question is, if there is no God, what will we be allowed to do? who will replace

  • @Darwinsman God, certainly there would be no one in control of life but it exists now a days, there being an infinite past clearly, therefore infinite future, therefore no time, just present time, life is not eternal and can end, anytime, the fact that life exists now is clearly because of God, which has life!, has always existed and has power over it, because in infinity life would have ended, if it where not infinite, if God did not exist, if we where the apex of life, even more to "ancestors

  • @Darwinsman whatever the reason you choose to reason this, whatever the reason, you know deep inside, even if you don't want to believe it, why do you want to be an atheist? hah survival of the fittest? we have endured an infinite past, yet we have record of a couple thousand years of intelligence? There is not time, leave it out! if you think the bible adapted to nature and not vice versa then that is the problem, because is this the nature that nature chose? hah so convenient for faith right

  • @Darwinsman If you walk on to another planet and see wrapper of a McDonald's hamburger, and see letters of an alphabet you immediately know that there is information there, and logic tells you as it should tell everyone, when you see information, you assume that prior to that information is a mind, you just don't think that a dictionary developed because of an explosion in a printing press! Well in this case, you think everything did, does this give authority to your existence? 100%?

  • @Darwinsman if it didn't then why do so much people believe in God? if there was an absolute truth. is it because they are all stupid? don't be stupid! arrogance is ignorance! 1 in a 100 have IQ over 137, i have 140, i have the capacity to be an atheist, because it is not intelligence that makes you an atheist but perspective! knowing that you are still a believer either way, either to evidence, either to God. but why do i choose God and not chance as my father? why don't you?

  • @Darwinsman What gives so much authority to your knowledge to the metaphysical that you cut out the possibility of God and claim it to be false. is it its authority or its benefits that make you an atheist, think about what you like about atheism, all selfish things? you can deny it my friend, but this is the reason judgment is perfect, all our actions are based on motives and motives are perfect, just good or bad, selfish or selfless, anyone from
