When it comes to great Black female singers you're not stuck for choice. Gladys of course, Roberta Flack, Minnie Ripperton, Deniece Williams..........all forgotten and replaced with trash like Beyonce and of couse Alexandra Berk (sp) and Leona Lewis whom I can't tell apart. "Hmm, let's test those vocal chords and range". Awful.
Aaah, Crapital Radio. As dire as any other commercial radio station I'm afraid.
The only one worth a wank is Smooth Radio if you can stand Eamonn Kelly's voice. They play some great music and of course Tony Blackburn is a DJ there - which can only be a good thing!
The lack of Beyonce howling and yelling is another plus point.
No they wouldn't reply because it's a sensitive question. If you're intelligent and audacious enough to ask such a question then they wouldn't expect you to be listening to their programming anyway.
Radio has too much competition in the form of other stations and iPods to "broad" cast anymore. Narrowcasting is what happens now and for commercial radio stations that means as narrow as possible.
It's too classy for radio stations to play today. Radio (especially commercial radio) plays to the lowest common denominator - that's why the playlists are so appalingly narrow these days. One song that isn't instantly recognised by the audience and they might tune out.
A sadly forgotten tune that was really very good. It deserves to be played in a high profile Hugh Grant film or similar so that it can be be popular again.
Crazy Days!! still got a tooth missing where my gold medallion knocked it out during a smooch to this song! Lisa where are you now????????????

@CaptainCouncil Agreed with all that except Beyonce. She is over styled but she can hold a note!

This one popped into my head out of nowhere a couple of hours ago, couldn't
remember who sang it though and nearly
fell over myself rushing home to track it down. Great to hear it again. Thank you for the upload.

I think this is the only song he released that didn't include a brass colliery band in the chorus.

Been searching for this for ages, one of his best and whooosh, all of a sudden it's 1975 again.
Thanks for uploading.

As Tony Blackburn would say "what a sensational sound" . A superb record from 1975, Pax from Ian Smith Xxx.

Strange how this never gets played nowadays, it was on the radio all the time in the spring/early summer of '75.
