  • hi. i'm working on this project. So if you don't mind, could you tell me the distance in between those solar vacuum tubes? There has to be gaps in between/top and bottom of the tubes right? Your response will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Evacuated Tube technology is miles ahead compared to flat panel systems. I've had an Apricus Evacuated Tube system on my home for 12 months now, even in winter the core reaches 150deg c. Since my system was installed, the mains power has been switched off, even on rainy days the system generates enough heat to keep the tank at 50 deg c minimum, which is more than hot enough for showering. During Autumn and Spring the storage tank averages 70 deg c. The system tops out at 75 deg c.

    Glass is not a good conducter of heat

    Also the glass heat pipe needs a space when inserted into the header to allow for different diameters of the heat pipe tube.

    Okay for China, not for the west
