umm...my secret trick:choose STONE. attack with STONE. change to STONE when an attack is gonna hit. you can stay as stone as long as you want,so take the time.i still take a couple bits of damage due to screw ups,but i guess hammer and plasma AND stone are rivals,the three of them...

I assuming you charge up this fast because you are using an emulator with a different controller instead of playing it on a real ds. The DS is harder to speed run with Plasma because the D-pad is soo small and rotating the buttons on d-pad is much less accurate when you want to charge up this fast. The run is good but seriously speed run it on a real ds.

Tip: press and hold R to defend and move the move contral around. Kirby won't move, but take less damenge and charge up with plasama faster.

@rcrsoccerkid *shakes head in disapproval* I guess I forgot the warning on this video. I prefer the mobility over the shielding. More often than not, that's damage you shouldn't be taking in the first place.

there are some things you dont need to sheild against when you have plasma though

the trick is knowing which enemy attacks your electric shield can destroy

(rocks, paint balls, marx thorns, etc)

Hammer is what I used. It deals HEAVY damenge. Really good and in my opion, better to use then plasama. Yeah, its good but not the best. To tell you the truth I don't know why people like plsama so much.

WOAH! my best was 7 minutes and 1 second, but you get an advantage because of the quick speed you get from using the control keys, trust me i played both emulator and ds versions, and in the emulator one, plasma was my best weapon, in the ds game, hammer was my best, so it doesnt really count because you get the fair advantage

I recently discovered a tip- on the Mini-Bosses, make a partner and swallow the clock after you kill him. That gives you Mic, which can kill the big wheelie before he hits the ground after spawning if you burn all three shots one after another. Then you just re-swallow the partner and keep going.

Naw, although I am slightly skeptical seeing how bosses like Wham Bam Jewel take a minimum of 25 seconds on a TAS run. (As well as no quick way to take out Galacta Knight's soldiers with sword Actually, even Suplex would be more believable (save Marx Soul). But yeah, it probably is possible with many abilities past Hammer, Plasma, and Partnered Wheelie

It's the Dash-B attack for Galacta Knight's cronies that works best, especially when they're clustered together (although I never beat it when he sent out the chain-whip guys). Plus it lets you go through that clock hand-like-thing to save time, although the Marx Soul paint attack is ANNOYING with Sword.

Plasma is my favorite ability in the series, but it hurts my hands to use it :(

I got a fairly decent record of 7:07:09 with Ninja ability. It's not as great as my 5:06:43 with Hammer, but it's a lot better than that speedrun I tried doing with Plasma(8:21:03)

The key to that record was to spam Quad Shock(does roughly 25 DMG per strike). Did I forget to mention Air Drop(It can 3-4KO Kracko). An AD does 70 DMG(throws deal massive DMG in this game)

Sorry, but I think it is easier with plasma because you are able to attack from a distance instead of attacking up close. Hammer does the most damage, but it is risky to use because you can't attack from far away.

actually I've tried hammer, doesn't work as well for me as plasma for some reason. It is a pretty good ability (the damage done is amazing) but sometimes it just doesn't do it (a missed uppercut can cause problems if against Masked DeDeDe) and Marx Soul sometimes isn't in range (for the uppercut anyway) trust me, your not the first that's recommended hammer to me :p

Well, actually, I though the Manned Wheelie Star Gun did a DEADLY amount of damage in 2 player mode.

They each do the same amount of damage as a star projectile, and you can fire them RAPIDLY.

Or maybe the damage in changed in The TRUE Arena mode.

Well outside of it, you can kill any boss in 3 hits... Which is one second. :U Seriously, it's freaking godly. Outside of Arena mode.

It does do an ungodly amount of damage, the only bad thing is it requires a good amount of cooperation, that and it's a 2 player thing and not a solo run (I only do solo stuff unless I'm screwing around or doing the Great Cafe Offensive) nope the damage is still the same in the Arena and True Arena (a cheap amount, the boss just have more HP, I personally used it on my own with the SNES emulator on the original Arena playing as both players...if I TASed that, it'd be 3-4 minutes...crazy)

for a good majority of people, it still is (for the DS version anyway, SNES plasma kicks any abilities' butt, just because of how much faster you can charge it...something a little faster than this video which makes all the difference) I think there a video still up somewhere here of a guy who beat the True Arena in under 4 minutes with Hammer and sometimes it depends on the boss (like Galacta Knight where plasma takes out the minor enemies faster) and hammer does better damage on Wham Bam Jewel

I normally try to go through a complete run, even if I make mistakes I figure I'll get better practice if I just run through the whole thing, besides, sometimes an imperfect run is great (such as this one, I haven't done better since and this isn't perfect) besides, it didn't make too much of a difference (seeing how the timer stops when you're making a partner)

His pattern is similar to that of normal Marx except his attacks are more powerful and have wider range and some can't be blocked. Treat him like normal Marx but be much more cautious.

When he hides under ground run back and forth frantically to dodge it.

When he creates giant energy orbs and flings them, hover in the middle of the screen.

When he showers paint balls all you can do is hide in a corner, hold the guard button and take it.

That's all i got, hope this helps.

actually with the giant energy orbs, the left one will always sweep first, on the top or the bottem depending on which part it left the screen on when Marx splits up, the right one of course, will always sweep from the other side on the opposite portion of the screen, although yes, there is a screen long area which neither will hit, also keep in mind that the arrows may be blocked without taking any damage
