I helped Scotty out at MIR (Budd's Creek, MD) in 90 when he had just debuted the "cow-catcher" nose on his '41 Willys. I worked at MIR from '82-'89 and went back that night to see some old friends. I was hanging around Scotty's pits just to kill time and he asked me to help him out a little. After getting to know him, I had nothing but admiration for him...he DOMINATED IHRA ProMod in both Nitrous and Blown Alcohol cars. Every time someone complained, he just went faster.
