Actually i wrote bill myers (the guy who created the series) and he said one of the major reasons why a newer series hasn't been made is cost. he said that ONE episode takes about half a million dollars to produce. he has been trying to push a newer version of this show for quite some time, but no one is latching onto it and producers aren't too sure how it would fare out there in the christian market today.
