@WHEELSRUP It'll be a tough series for sure, LA's got a great team, and Phoenix doesn't have the big men to match up to Bynum and Gasol. However, Fisher can't guard worth a shit, so Nash or Richardson will be burning him all series long. It was a great game for the Suns. I thought there were times when they took too many jumpshots, but then they got hot. lol I was expecting the Lakers to destroy us that game, but only Kobe showed up to play for the Lakers. The thing that bothered me was the fact that Nash was in the end of the game when we had the game under control. lol
I know what you mean. Their past two meetings were hard to watch. But on both accounts, the Suns had to play on L.A.'s homecourt while the Lakers were rested, and Phoenix had to play them back-to-back from previous nights. Quick PG's have killed us over the years in the pick-and-roll. A Lot of people think we should trade Nash but I think we need to keep him and let a young PG learn from him for a year...

Tim Duncan is still good for another 3 years depending on his knees, the people who should be traded for the team are matt bonner, michael finley, Jacque vaugh, and Ian mahinmi. These players contributed little to the spurs and some are older as well... Like bonner though, but well he could always go to a better team..

@WHEELSRUP It'll be a tough series for sure, LA's got a great team, and Phoenix doesn't have the big men to match up to Bynum and Gasol. However, Fisher can't guard worth a shit, so Nash or Richardson will be burning him all series long. I dunno if Phoenix will be able to come out on top, but I definitely know they won't be shut down and they won't go down without a fight.

It was a great game for the Suns. I thought there were times when they took too many jumpshots, but then they got hot. lol I was expecting the Lakers to destroy us that game, but only Kobe showed up to play for the Lakers. The thing that bothered me was the fact that Nash was in the end of the game when we had the game under control. lol

I know what you mean. Their past two meetings were hard to watch. But on both accounts, the Suns had to play on L.A.'s homecourt while the Lakers were rested, and Phoenix had to play them back-to-back from previous nights. It didn't make any sense to me either why they would bring Nash back in. I was most excited to have Barbosa back. Was his 1st returning game Christmas against the Clips?

I think it was against the Clips when Barbosa came back. I wish they let Earl Clark play in the last five minutes instead of the last two minutes. They should have let Dragic to continue to run the point in the last five minutes. Great win for the Suns!

Nash has more than one more year left, the only reason his stats went down was because he had Terry Porter for a coach for a while. His numbers went right back up after we got rid of him.

DirtyDezzzzert- I agree 100%, with the quick PG's in the west like Parker, CP3, D-Will and Aaron Brooks we need someone like Flynn who can counter-punch their speed. Quick PG's have killed us over the years in the pick-and-roll. A Lot of people think we should trade Nash but I think we need to keep him and let a young PG learn from him for a year...

i don't care about point guard defense anymore. i recently heard a quote- rajon rondo and derrick rose are two of the quickest guards in the league and they cant even keep up with each other.

I just think we need a PG who is young, quick that can play D and push the ball. Nash is great but he's way past his prime and only has 1 year left on his deal. To draft a PG and let him sit under Nash for a year would benefit him greatly IMO cuz Dragic is just a back-up. Hopefully we trade Amare and get a PF like Jordan Hill who actually wants to play defense and can match Amare's athleticism... As for Earl Clark i like him a lot but i think Dudley will play that type of role this year

Never cared for the lakers, for some reason though in San Antonio, your either a spurs fan or a laker's fan. I dont see any other type of fan in the city, never met anyone else.. Noticed that in other cities too.. I laughed on yahoo it said that their are 61 million lakers fans, and only 2 million spurs fans..lol... I never met any homegrown Rocket or Mav fans in San Antonio, Ive noticed that the only mav and rocket fans are usually just university students or travelers that come down for our fiesta.. Spurs fan used to like the mavs.. but then the incident happened.. lol.. Mark Cuban came. I have never noticed any type of rivalry between the rockets and the spurs though, some of the older fans though dont really care for the Rockets, because they stopped the spurs from advancing in 1998 playoffs.Yao Awesome

Oh you're spot on: the Marion - Shaq trade was a terrible one for the Suns, given that Marion was good with defense (for that matter, trading away Raja Bell was a tad ill-advised as well, but J-Rich's doing a lot of the scoring, so..). Yep: no Shaq back in 06 - 07: they'd have kicked some major ass right now...unfortunately for them, they ran into a red - hot Spurs team (grudgin respect ;) )....That's one of the reasons I'll be an eternal Suns fan: the never give up spirit....EIther

Have to agree... but I mean the spurs were in that year one of the best defensive teams in the last 10 years, they had a whole show on NBA tv about it... overall like I tell my friend from Arizona, The Suns should had never traded for Shaq, I always thought that if they had the team they did in 2006 2007, (I think thats when they didnt have have shaq) now.. they would kick the lakers ass.. even though I am a spurs fan, The suns are my third favorite team (2nd hornets) because they never give up.

Tim Duncan is still good for another 3 years depending on his knees, the people who should be traded for the team are matt bonner, michael finley, Jacque vaugh, and Ian mahinmi. These players contributed little to the spurs and some are older as well... Like bonner though, but well he could always go to a better team..

Yeah who would want them lol.. I mean matt bonner used to be awesome, but now his performance in the playoff was awful against the mavs, and vaughn didnt do anything, finley is to old, and Ian mahinmi is the anti parker, a young guy who cant make shots. The only good young player we have is george hill, and I am trying to find a rookie card for him since I know he going to be awesome in the future. The only bad thing about drafting europeans is that alot of the time they stay in europe..money..

What's the big deal? End of what era? The Suns have zippo for championships. Sure they made the playoffs, and provided some entertaining albeit stupid basketball under D'antoni( I promise you no one will ever win an NBA championship with all offence, 3 ball, run and gun basketball. Ever! ). They tried their brand of basketball, and routinely ran into the brick wall that was San Antonio, who held the Suns to under 90 and 100 points easily with solid D.
