any AK! but i have an AK74 & had a few AR's. any time i don't have the government supplying me with cleaning kits i'll pick the AK. SKS is nice but, i need more then 10 rounds.
When the shit gets balls deep, pull out!!!...and defend yourself ofcourse. Ant of these weapons would be a good choice. Really the only advantage an sks would have over an AK or AR would be price. The AK and AR in my opinion are equally effective. Unless they had a full auto option. Then the ar would win. But I would have to go with the AK. It'd been around longer seen more action cheaper bigger caliber and it looks fuckin nasty! LOL, get some!
A quality AK would win, but if you include off-caliber AR's then I would run a 6.8 spc AR or something similar. If I could have literally any weapon I would take a FN SCAR 17 any day of the week though, I love big caliber weapons. Also, why would you choose an SKS over an AK? I don't know much about SKS's so if someone who does wants to educate me, please feel free.
The AK if i had to choose between the 3, more power easy to repair and will take a lot more punishment over time! In all honesty in war or shtf a good reliable long heavy barrel shotgun is ideal, either tearing a man's torso to pieces with 00 or taking a bird out of the air with bird shot! lol you can even purchase slugs and really do some damage!
Geez, how big of a can of worms do you want to open.....Hehehe!! I still stay with the SKS. I think it's durability is better than the AR and on the same level as the AK. The AR and AK are great platforms. I know I can depend on the SKS any time. Again this is just my 2 cents. If you disagree good, because it would be a messed up world if we all had the same opinion. Thanks for the video, take care.
I have heard that during WWII, part of the advantage the US had over the Germans was that the US weapons were not as complex and would function reliably. The German weapons were better built, but had more moving parts, and required more skill to maintain. Not saying that was the deciding factor, but from the average citizen's perspective, the AK has the advantage on simplicity. Purely based on the fact that in a stressful situation, all you want is for the gun to go bang and send lead downrange.
I paid $400 for my AK 74. That leaves more than enough to purchase a great Sig and still have money left over rather than pay for a AR. For me, the AK rocks.
Being able to fire any of the above is more important than actual ownership ( for the moment ), but in my opinion the AK 47 wins due to the simplicity of use and daily maintenance ...
I have 1 AR, 1 AK, 3 sks. I like the AR but when it comes down to shooting it everyday and not being able to clean it properly in a SHTF situation. I would take my chances with a AK or a SKS any day of the week.
if i could get the ak in full auto id take it but the sks is my choice the a r is comin along its just not quite there yet thats a nice lookin ak ya got there

An SKS is a stand alone gun, the only thing you need to run it is ammo, no detachable mags to worry about.

I prefer accuracy at range and already have my money invested so I have to go with AR15.

AR15. I would guess there would be more 5.56 laying around.
