  • I have a Game in couple hourors which i am the Starting pitchier and imma do the best i can to strike out 6hitters for Jeff . Jr and concentrate for him.

  • what a sad and great at the same time story, that should be an inspiration to all you young pitchers out there to never take your gifts and lives for granted. iam now 26 and was givin the gift of a 90 + mph fastball but took my gift for granted and didnt take care of my arm and later had an injury that ended my career before irealized my dream and also missed out on a big pay day that comes with it, god bless and keep "throwin' heat"

  • thank you for this video its changed my view of life. Im going to bust my butt to work hard during the off season from now on and at practice

  • it may be raining bu i dont care especially after i heard this i am gonna go out on my team swing for along time

  • Listening to this story really hit home with me and although I don't have the talent that Jeff Jr. had, I will continue to work as hard as possible to earn my place in baseball.

  • Im gonna try my best, not complain and never give up .

  • After reading that I am going to not make excuses anymore. Im going to do what I need to do too get better. Whatever that may be if its nutrition or mechanics im always going to remember this when Im playing baseball. That it is a great privalage to get to play a game that is so rewarding. But from now on im going to always work on my off time. Thanks for this wonderful story.

  • Although I don't play baseball anymore, the video has reminded me to continue to work and play hard in every aspect of my life. I truly enjoyed playing ball with Jeff and he was an example of commitment and hard work. I always felt best at short with him on the mound because I knew my job would be that much easier! Live on.

  • i don't play baseball. but jeff made everyone love the sport.

he had that passion that was hard to find ... and I know jeff is looking down and smiling. =]

  • I have pitching and batting practice today, and while I'm there, I am going to try to focus harder and improve my game. I know if I work hard enough for it, my pitching and hitting will improve, maybe enough to get into college ball. I'm motivated now to work my hardest, and I will continue to as long as I possibly can. The story of Jeff Jr. has really motivated me. I will always remember his story.

  • I WILL no longer make excuses. Nothing I can possibly say can be worse than that so now I WILL try my best all the time with the thought of Jeff Jr. and what he went through.

  • This post is for my 10 year old son that plays in U.S.S.S.A. 10 and under. He says that he will play in is game tonight and have no errors for Jeff Jr. and may god bless him.

  • I will work harder on running and eating.

  • im gonna get my ass off the couch and go to the cage

  • Thank you for doing this. I think that it is really great. I was one of Jeff Jr many cousin's. Wish we were closer. I miss the fun we had in the summer when we were little. I hope everyone that see this can take a little bit of him with them.

  • I'm going to Get faster on the basepath by running more, and will work on my fielding until I get Great at it... I will always remember Jeff Jr. and will give 100% no matter what. Thank you for sharing that story.

  • I will work harder on my mental focus on the game. Also work harder on my nutrition. So i can become a better ball player.

Also that was truly and inspiring story.

I wish every baseball player could hear and understand this story.

  • I cant say i will try to make time for drills or i might do a little hitting every day because thats pathetic, jeff worked hard even when the going got tough nothing stopped him.And to hear his story told the way it was i just have to say that i wont just try,i will do,do my best and work my heart out on the mound beacause thats what jeff would have done and may my blessings lie with the family and friends of this great individual. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN BUT ALWAYS REMEMBERED RIP.JEFF JR.

  • I am going to eat healthier and work on my pitching mechanics. I will think about Jeff Jr every time I am on the mound.

  • i am going to work 1 and half hours longer on my work outs (ten minutes longer on all my workouts)

  • Paul,

I will work on the things that I need to work on: I will work harder on my nutrition plan by eating more veggies and on becoming a more explosive pitcher by running more sprints. Thank you for the inspiring story this has truely pumped me up. I am sorry to hear about your son Jeff; he sounds like a great kid

  • RIP Jeff jr.,

from here on forward, i am going to put in extra time to get better at the greatest game in the world. Everyday is important in the quest of becoming the greatest player possible so i will not waste ne more time!

  • Hi Paul,

As a coach I try to do everything I can to help my son and our team (12U) league team, improve as a player and person.

I think any coach would have loved to have Jeff Jr. on their team and I hope every coach and player learns from his story. I am going to give up my luch hour today and help my weakest hitter with his swing. This is his 1st season playing baseball and is struggling but continues to work hard. Great job Paul and ignore the idiots with the negative comments!

  • Thanks for the vids paul.. RIP Jeff Jr.

I'm going to start focusing and actually push myself harder

  • I will work on flexibility and strengthening my decelerating muscles. This video is a true motivator.

  • Although I'm not a ball player I personally knew Jeff Jr. He was my cousin and although we weren't extremely close he was a major inspiration still getting out on the field when there was so much going on....Paul this is a great video and I hope it reaches many people and gives them inspiration to get out there and do what they want

  • i will add an extra 20 min workout everyday after practice

  • Rest In Peace with all the baseball greats such as yourself Jeff Jr. Before every game and practice I will think of your inspiring story and that will give me all the motivation I need to take control over the mound and become the best pitcher I can ever be. That is what I will do in honor of your name.

  • Day to day I try my best to go that extra mile. Worded best by one of our shirts we had at Estero High School- "To be the best you have to train the hardest." I always try to leave it all on the field or in the weight room no matter what. "I don't feel like it, I was at work all day, I'm sore, blah blah blah." No excuses.

Very inspiring story, even more reason for people to work hard at their goals. R.I.P.

  • I am going to hustle, and lay myself out for the team, give 120% everyday, and play like every inning as if the score were 0-0

  • RIP very inspiring. I am going to work on my lower body strength to increase velocity

  • This is truly inspiring.

Jeff Jr. and Jeff Sr., I promise to be a better teammate, friend, and sport on the baseball field. I promise to train harder, even if I'm having a bad day. If jeff jr. could do it, with all that he had gone through, I will try my best to follow through with my end of the deal.

    Thanks!

  • You guys are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • RIP Jeff Jr. This is really inspiring. I will work harder to get my body stronger.

  • to hit every morning and to have better nutrition

  • This video really got to me. Jeff Jr obviously loved the game, and is the solid reason why no matter what state, and condition he was in, he continued to work. So what I am doing to get better, is to continue loving the game of baseball, and treat it with the utter most respect and passion as Jeff Jr did. This is the best game in the world, Jeff Jr had no problem seeing that, love the game everyone, and it will love you back.

  • R.I.P Jeff, Jr. This video is very sad. But yet teaches everyone to work hard to achieve your goal. I am currently experiencing a pitching injury in my left elbow. Known as little league elbow. It is over use of the growth plate in the elbow. After working hard in physical therapy i have gone from a 77 degree external extension to 98 degrees! This was a huge goal for me not only to overcome my injury but maintain something that i haven'

t had before to improve my pitching. Work, and Dedication

  • I am going to work on not overanalyzing every mistake or every good play i make.

  • I am normally a control pitcher and can spot the ball within like 3 inches of where i want it, but for Jeff I'll try to improve on that, I'll also run more and work even harder on developing my velocity, thanks paul, really motivating

  • get off my lazy ass, and go work out. not watch videos on youtube. no offense paul

  • RIP jeff, jr. Not only does jeff jr. teach everyone how hard one is capable of working, but puts everything in perspective. i will always be looking for every edge, always looking to improve.

  • I'm gonna quit being lazy and go out there and run like 10 miles, and work on my location instead of putting it off until right before my game.btw great vid

  • My Dream Is go to a D1 school and eventually get drafted.

What I am going to do to get better is go to the gym do some weights and think about jeffs story wile im pumping the wieghts

  • 2 weeks ago i had surgery on my wrist

today i had a cast taken off so i could begin stretching so id regain flexibility

im going to do all those sucky stretches

and while i cant workout and im missing an entire season of baseball im going to eat as healthy as i can today and do watever balance and core activities i can
