En realidad esta pelicula es una precuela del primer video juego se iva a llamar "Resident evil: Ground zero", pero al director no se lo permitieron...y tubieron que dejarle "Resident evil".

Muchos fanaticos del juego se quejaron....diciendo que era basura o que no era una adaptacion al juego, pero nunca se dieron cuenta que es una precuela.
