Hi there jboypacman I was taking a walk down memory lane with my girlfriend today and remembered having this same system on a shelf in the closet. My parents bought it for my brothers and I, I think x-mas 1976, and it still works fine. BTY.... your gun/rifle connection isn't missing a pin, Mine has only 4 as well. Crazy to see people nastagic enough to play these neat old systems. Kids don't know how good they have it these days. Talk with you soon. Gary
I just found the Radofin Tele-Sports Mini at Goodwill for $1. I plugged it in, but it doesn't seem to be working. I tried it on a more modern TV though (not HD though). Does it have to be an older tv to work? Also, I'm not sure if it's PAL or NTSC. I guess since it was only a dollar, it doesn't matter, but I'd like to know.
Make sure you're plugging it into the TV's antenna/cable RF input, not the composite video input jack. You will need a switchbox or plug adapter, as I show in the video.
It wasn't a glitch! That's what happens when the game is over.
When I was a little kid, I remember seeing those with a gun where you shoot that square thing moving around. If you hit it, you would hear a beep.
And there are those that even have car racing games (with simple b&w graphics) where you would use the same paddle controls. The car would "buzz" and when it crashes it would flash and make that rapid beeping sound. I believe Atari made one of those when they first released the 2600.
Now that's a classic! I think when the switches are cleaned up in the coleco/radofin the games shouldn't glitch anymore. Shame about the Unsonic not working. Some time ago I once got a ZX Spectrum at a Flea Market/Car Boot sale and it didn't work, the screen was all garbled so I replaced the ULA chip which does the graphics, and after that it worked perfectly. I wish I still had it.
that's really interesting to see what those old consoles look like! Pong is actually pretty addicting, but my favorite ball bouncing game was breakout, there was a laundromat that we used to go to that had that. and a game called Roadblasters, and Ghosts & Goblins. man I wish that laundromat still had that. I wish there were still arcades :/
These machines are really interesting. Too bad the Unisonic doesn't work...
In Germany in the 70s the big producers of televisions like Grundig and Saba offered televisions with a slot on the front side. I can remember that Grundig had a television where this slot normally acted as a storager for the remote control. But you could buy those simple games built into a cartridge and these could be put into that slot to play the game.
you got some good aim!

I didn't know that Pong systems were actually built by other companies. I thought they were all made by Atari. I've got a Unisonic calculator.
