As for winning wars...what have France won in the past 100 years? In WW1 France was getting slaughtered until the Brits came in force in 1916, and WW2 they had about the same effect as Poland.
You have a problem with history in WW1 . In 1914 it's the French who stopped the German at the battle of la Marne and the greatest merit for the victory in the western front come to the French . In WW2 after the battle of France the French Free forces continued to fight like the French resistance . Since 100 years the French won several like the Wadai war , Rif war , Suez crisis , Algerian war , Bosnian war , Kosovo war etc ..

The M26 model was underpowered and mechanically unreliable and so was withdrawn from Korea in 1951, in favor of the M46 model, which had a more powerful engine and re-designed 90mm cannon.

Compare a Char B1 and the Panzer 2; even the german antitank guns (37mm) couldn't even dent it. Meanwhile Panzer 2 and 35t were vulnerable to anything above 20mm, and the Panzer 1 was vulnerable to rifles.
Compare that to the King Tiger, with 5x the armor as the Sherman. That'd be like a T-55 versus a LeClerc or Leopard.
You forget that the Germans used a new tactic called the blitzgrieg. French tanks were less functional than the Germans tanks and the French had a much less powerful aircraft than the Germans. This did not prevent the French to fight bravely (even if it bothers you), as at the battle of Stone or the battle of Hannut or the battle of Gembloux .

In a single battle Russia fielded over 7,000 tanks and nearly 2 million armed and equipped soldiers. That's more than the entire force the USA had in Europe, including italy and africa. If all these soldiers that were focused on taking on Russia had been focused on defending France and italy, the war would've continued

In WW2 after the battle of France the French Free forces continued to fight like the French resistance . Since 100 years the French won several like the Wadai war , Rif war , Suez crisis , Algerian war , Bosnian war , Kosovo war etc ..

Compare a Char B1 and the Panzer 2; even the german antitank guns (37mm) couldn't even dent it. Meanwhile Panzer 2 and 35t were vulnerable to anything above 20mm, and the Panzer 1 was vulnerable to rifles.
Compare that to the King Tiger, with 5x the armor as the Sherman. That'd be like a T-55 versus a LeClerc or Leopard.

@redreaper2020 I used to have a good opinion of Americans...and yes I did work with them in war theaters in Ex Yugoslavia and on some exercises. I could categorize the majority of my encounters as drug dependent, uneducated and with very low morals and respect to human life and generally a look down attitude towards civilians and other nations forces. You have to have had you head in the sand not to see the US military as a stooge for big US corporation in the last 60 years...

@jeffkodiac I've met a decent amount of French military officers. They just have no drive. They're pussified--nice people, but not who I'd want fighting next to me.
France has a better social structure than the US, no doubt. We have no healthcare, shit wages, and a corrupt congress with an approval rating of 8%.
But that situation is reversed when you talk military. France hasn't won anything in 100 years. America has lost 1 war--which we took over after France backed out.

@jeffkodiac At sixteen I kicked the asses of 3 french officers in a row in hand-to-hand combat in Britain on a 20-pound bet. They have no military drive.
Meanwhile, America, you can point fingers at their technology, but I know quite a few who are hard as nails. I know one guy who kept driving his humvee after his arm was blasted off with an RPG, another who picked up his own severed thumb in a firefight, stuck it in his pocket, and kept going, etc.

And I'm sure that our carpet-bombing of Germany had nothing to do with their materiel shortages by 1943, nor our giving of supplies to everybody. While fighting a total war halfway around the globe AT THE SAME TIME.

The US produced in less time more tanks than the Russians, actually, while simultaneously cranking out a dozen times the ships the Axis could, AND maintained a massive air bombardment. Had the need arisen, we probably would have had the Pershing (best medium tank of the war) as our medium tank, not the Sherman.
This is from a country with a smaller population.

@redreaper2020 Seeming how the vast majority of the German military was focused on the Soviets and France was occupied but by a mere garrison, I fail to see how that could work. In a single battle Russia fielded over 7,000 tanks and nearly 2 million armed and equipped soldiers. That's more than the entire force the USA had in Europe, including italy and africa. If all these soldiers that were focused on taking on Russia had been focused on defending France and italy, the war would've continued

Also, seeming how early 1940s Soviet armor used by the North Koreans in the Korean war generally outdid American armor from the 50s, and German armor generally dominated Soviet armor, I wonder what the outcome would be if Russia and Germany retained neutrality through out the entire war. Japan was also fighting a bitter war against China since 1931 with no huge success.
